Arrived in a new country with my young family to get away for Christmas and upon arrival was asked to pay £1800 deposit which i wasn't aware of as on the form is confusing and misleading so had to call customer service and said I needed to pay it but then was told I had to pay on a credit card and not my Mastercard debit card. I do not own a credit card so was unable to hire the car and not able to be refunded as was just told its over the time. Absolutely awful so had to go back to airport and find another car hire with a 2 year old and 4 year old. Very very dissapointed "

" This is the third time we have used you as our Car Rental supplier in the last 12 months. The first time (in Eire, with Europcar) was very good. The second (Tenerife, with Gobycar) was a little less straightforward but still fairly problem-free. This last time was, frankly, a disaster from a customer service standpoint. I will certainly never use OK Mobility again and will be telling anyone who asks, to steer well clear as well. My on-line review will be scathing. OK Mobility's multiple failures reflected very poorly on you and the fact that you offer them as one of the companies you work with, is now making me wonder whether I should use you again in future, if this is the 'standard' of car rental companies you deal with. "
" 1) The instructions provided by OK Mobility to get to the Shuttle pick-up point at Faro airport were inaccurate and unhelpful. They advised waiting at a certain described point/sign which was no longer present. There were several other customers of theirs milling around the general area when we arrived, asking each other if it was the right place. Some people called OK Mobility Customer Service but no-one received a reply (more on this later). 2) When a shuttle bus arrived (about 30 minutes after we did) the driver threw the baggage in to the luggage area with no concern about potentially fragile items inside. 3) When I gave him my name, he said 'Oh, Mr xxxx, you're finally here, this is the fourth time I have been looking for you' in an irritated voice. Hardly a good ambassador for the company when there was nothing we could do about the long queues at Passport control... 4) When the bus finally arrived at the Rental Office, I was rudely shouted at by the counter staff for not realising I needed a 'pick your number' ticket. 5) I was forced to pay a €14-odd fee for the Portuguese Motorway tracker - no-one had told me about this during the rental process and as I had no intention of using any of the toll roads, this was extremely irritating to me. 6) The car provided was significantly larger than we had expected - while most people would be glad of the upgrade, it meant that our petrol consumption was increased and I quickly developed severe arm ache due to the position of the gear lever. I am still in pain 5 days after returning. 7) The car was a 'keyless' Renault Captur with no ignition key but a key fob instead and we repeatedly had problems with it not starting when we pressed the START/STOP button and on less frequent occasions, stopping it either. This problem became worse as the holiday progressed until finally on the Monday, the car refused to start entirely for 30 minutes while we were away from the hotel. We finally managed to get it to start and drove back to the hotel, where we tried phoning OK Mobility's Breakdown number on several occasions but never received a reply - just constant ringing. We tried their Customer Service number as well - same; no reply just constant ringing. The hotel staff kindly offered to call the numbers from their own devices but could not get any response either. Had we been in the middle of nowhere, we would have been totally stuck, in a foreign country where we did not speak the language!! Finally, I managed (after about 15 minutes) to get the vehicle started again and had no choice but to drive approx. 60km back to the Rental Office in Faro to try and get a replacement vehicle. The staff member identified that the battery in the key fob was weak (as we could not read the Portuguese display, we had no way of knowing this) and swapped it out with a replacement. Of course, OK Mobility's checks should have picked up this defect before issuing the vehicle to a customer. 8) The staff member apologised but said there was nothing he could do at the time to offer compensation for the distress, time and petrol (over 3 hours of driving from the hotel to the Rental Office and back, together with 120km of petrol usage) but that I should take it up when I dropped off the vehicle. Inevitably, when I did so, the staff member on duty said there was nothing he could do about it but that I should write to OK Mobility Customer Service in order to ask them for some sort of redress. 9) The shuttle driver (possibly the same man) who took us back from the Rental Office to the Airport got the hump when we declined to let him put the baggage in to the luggage area in the van (after the experience with 'him' throwing things around when we arrived, we weren't taking chances) and sarcastically asked 'if we wanted to drive the van, too?' "

That was my responsibility. In all the years of hiring cars I've never heard of this. In spite of my protestations he was adamant that what he was saying was correct so I was either responsible for loss or damage above the excess or I had to buy the full cover through them. I felt I had no option other than to buy their cover. "

The staff were very friendly and efficient, the secret is to have all your documents and details ready. The Ford Kuga was very well presented, only marked down as there was damage on the wheel arch and bumpers, this was noted and I photographed it, and there was no questions regarding the damage on return. I found OK Mobility to be fantastic value, with great service from start to finish, I would recommend them. Looking at the poor feedback, most of it is from people who don't know the process and the rules, come prepared, read the rules, and you should have a great experience too. "

" A terrible experience: no information on how to take the transfer, wrong phone number, no support in Portuguese and they gave me a car clearly below the one I booked. 1. There is no information on the voucher how to get the transfer bus to the rent a car. 2. In the voucher there is a phone number, but it is a Spanish phone number and that number does not work (at least from Portugal). I assume it is a added value phone number in Spain. In any case it does not work from my UK mobile in Portugal. 3. I found a Portuguese number on the web and the information on how to take the transfer was generic, not clear at all. Useless. 4. I called to the same (Portuguese) number and pretended I wanted to do a reservation to be able to speak with a person. I managed to speak with a person, but she only speak Spanish, not Portuguese. I managed to speak Portuñol, and she transferred the call to their Faro office and I managed to know how to take the transfer. 5. The car they gave me was not the one I booked. I rented a VW Tiguan or equivalent. They gave me the option of taking a Seat Arona or Renault Captur and the person attending me insisted that they were both the same category of the VW Tiguan. I said that the Volkswagen Tiguan was equivalent to the Nissan Cashqai, not the ones offered. She insisted, not at all, the Tiguan is equivalent to the Seat Arona and Renault Captur. I said that the cost of the car was the main driver of cars belonging to same category, she said that does not make any sense. 6. For reference (source: www.guiadoautomovel.pt, 17/12/2023) below are the prices of all the 4 cars mentioned: VW Tiguan: prices start at €37,077. Nissan Cashqai: prices start at €34,855. Seat Arona: prices start at €21,355. Renault Captur: prices start at €23,755. 7. How can a VW Tiguan (€37k) be equivalent to a Seat Arona (€21k) and Renault Captur (€24k) and be below the Nissan Cashqai (€35k) category? "

" Unfortunately our experience with ok mobility was very negative at pick up. 1st surprise was the deposit amount, much more elevate than the amount expressed on booking details. The explanation for that was that "the prices were reviewed since the day you booked" (which was just 10 days earlier). Then there were a bit more than 40 euros for the mandatory toll device, not mentioned on booking. And 250 euros deposit for fuel and toll expenses, also not mentioned on booking. Then final surprise: we've booked the category "volkswagen tiguan or similar". The whole reason we've chosen this company, this category is big enough to fit our 3 child seats. We were given an Seat Arona, much smaller and definitely not compatible with 3 car seats. No other option available, we later learned they don't even have Tiguans on their fleet. "
