They took 1400 euro off my credit card because I had my own insurance. This wasn't anywhere in your T&Cs you sent and I never received specific T&Cs from ok rent before hand nor could I find their T&Cs anywhere online. The car had lots of scrapes I marked up but nobody from ok rent checked this before they signed off the sheet as they were too busy. "

" The first time I have hired a car for the whole holiday and it went well. The car was brand new only 400 k on the clock and the price exceptional. Directions for the shuttle at Menorca airport could have clearer. Follow the green path to meeting point on leaving the terminal is far more accurate. The shuttle takes you to a trading estate that seemed full of hire companies and it can feel like a maze getting out of there especially because there are lots of no entry signs and the sat nav does not work well, at least not in this instance. Other than that it was really good. "

" I have been renting cars abroad on regular basis and OK Rent has been the worst experience. I was NOT given the car I had booked and the waiting time before being served was 2 hours. The car was full of scratches and dents so marking it on their form was pot luck if you manage to spot all of them. On return of the car their staff checking the car reluctantly gave his name as Cham and he was very rude. He insisted a small scratch on the top of driver side door was not there before which I disputed but he insisted I show him photo as evidence. I was NOT asked by the company to take photos prior to driving off and all they said was to mark all the damages on their form. Since returning and checking on reviews most of their customers are ripped of by falsely claiming damages and charging grossly inflated amounts for repairs. I had to pay €550.00 for small scratch which wasn't even caused by me. It's impossible to scratch the top of the door frame so I presume they purposely charge every one who rents this car and they probably don't even get it repaired. I think everyone should be made aware of their illegal and fraudulent practices. "

" I have used OK Rentals on previous occasions and have been satisfied with the overall service but on this occasion I would never use this company again. The man on the desk was incredibly rude to three elderly British people and the gentleman was visibly upset and I tried to help but was told by the man in the desk that I shouldn't get involved! I found this individual very rude and discourteous. When I returned the car after my 2 week stay I was told that I had caused minor damage to the underside of the rear bumper and this was completely untrue. I note from reading blogs that OK Rent have been found to have fraudulently made claims against customers in the recent past and this company should not be using these illegal tactics. The supervisors told me I had to pay 260 euros for something that I was not responsible for. I always rent my hire cars through auto europe and I find them excellent but I will not use OK Rent again. I have in fact just cancelled two bookings through your company for two cars in Menorca in March 2019 as I had also booked using OK Rentals. " Whilst you can rent vehicles very cheaply at Alicante airport at this time and counter staff are generally pleasant, all customers must exercise extreme caution when renting a vehicle when electing to take CDW with a third party insurer rather OK Rent a Car. The company have a policy not to check vehicles for damage, and the staff are very well versed in catching customers out with damage. And the amounts can be ludicrous...€200 if the three stickers/emblems have been removed from the vehicle, together with an administration fee. Be prepared to get down on your hands and knees to check rubber trims on the underside of the front bumper...€300 + €60 admin fee!! You would have thought that the vehicle manufacturers put the rubber trim there for the very reason that at times it might get slightly scratched. If you are spend a few moments at the return zone, and you will notice it is one of the first things staff look at. It is nothing short of a scam, so be prepared. "

" My rating is solely to do with the fact that we are assigned a low cost rental company, but that this means poor quality / service. When things go wrong, the local rental company is seemingly unempowered to do anything about it, and we have to consult with Auto-Europe directly. This is not possible at 01:00 on a Sunday morning in Spain!!! "
" Arrived at the stated location at the airport for the car pick up at 21:30 on 20/10/18. Despite apparently being at the front of a 'nominal' queue that had formed, the minibus arrived to take us to the off airport location but didn't go to the head of the queue. We have small children (6 & 4) and hence weren't able to react as quickly as those without children, and thus missed the first two minibuses that did come. Eventually we were taken to the OK Rent a Car office off site, where I had to wait until 00:45 (3.25 hrs!) to even be seen. By this time we had hired a taxi to take the rest of my family to our destination (16 Euros), to get our young children to bed. Upon being seen I was informed there were no cars of the type I'd booked available (7 seats) and would have to take a 5 seat car (which can't accommodate two child seats and an adult in the back. I was asked to return the following day around 13:00 as they would likely have a car in. In addition after paying for the car seats I was then informed there were none available! I eventually left the car rental office at 01:15. I returned the following day at 13:00 but was again informed the car I'd booked wasn't available. I did manage to collect the car seats for my children, and agreed that OK Rent a Car would deliver my car that evening. The car was eventually available around 19:00, and was delivered to me around 20:30 (I was out at dinner earlier) on the evening of Sunday 21/10/18. My whole experience was easily the worst I've ever encountered at a hire car company, and had a significant negative impact on the start of my holiday as well as incurring additional cost for us. "

" Good: The shuttle service from/to airport was fine. The car was not what we selected, but still OK. Bad: We had to wait for approximately 1 hour before been seen at the counter! The reason is twofold: 1. When arriving at the office you have to take a ticket and wait for your turn. However, they operate two different types of ticketing, Express and Normal. You will be charged 18€ for the Express ticket, but can jump the queue. This means that if you are not willing to pay the extra 18€, you may have to wait for an unreasonably long time! 2. They try to sell their own insurance and so forth, leading to prolong times at the counter. "

" On arrival, at car hire counter I was pressurised into taking out additional insurance to cover what was anyway a high excess. They wanted a further 160 euros to provide eight days cover for amounts above 300euros up to 1,500euros. This would have almost doubled the cost of hire. And 160 euros for eight days works out at an annual premium of 7,300 e for a very small range of cove. I think this is unreasonable. I took the risk myself. You should include insurance properly and have a reasonable excess, say 350 euros. "

" Very long wait to collect vehicle - nearly two hours. It was completley dark. We declined OK's excess insurance and OK provided no damage report on pick up. We asked the receptionist how we were supposed to properly inspect the car in the dark (it was parked in a particarly dark point with no lighting). She shrugged and said if you take out our excess you wouldn't need to check. We had to do it the best we could in the dark. There was a considerable amount of very minor scratches etc which we recorded as best we could We had no issues with the car itself and no events where we believed any damage was caused to the car but on pick up were told that they identified two "new" bits of minor damage (though they either didn't have or wouldn't share any previous damage reports) for which we were charged 600 Euro. It felt like this was simply an exercise in increasing the hire price of the car, especially as it appeared that if we had taken out the OK excess they would only have given a cursory examination of the car "

They made me feel that your insurance was not enough and that I would be underinsured if I did not take their insurance. I had to be quite forceful in declining their insurance and was subsequently given a car with 33 faults on bodywork. "

This time, I came into Oviedo airport 5 hrs late due to Easyjet having to change the plane and crew on 14/09, picked up vehicle at 11.00 pm. Operative took me to car which is unusual as none of the other people were escorted, I was last in line, tired and lone female. Made a point of upgrading vehicle, escorting me, pointing out certain defects to the bodywork in low lighted car park. Obviously it later transpired that a scratch on the rear door extended from a latter scratch was not recorded. Hence I was charged on the rtn of vehicle for this 'additional' scratch. I am extremely unhappy, will not use ok and will certainly not look at using yr co again. I have now been debited Euro 200 for something that I am not responsible for. The car was used solely to get from the airport to home and back kms Airport/Belmonte Llanes, was parked on my home driveway and was not scratched by a third party, as the vehicle was already scratched. I do not like being used in this way and 'am extremely annoyed at being treated in this way. Nobody likes these scams. "

When you book at the airport in Mallorca they state they have pick up/drop off at the airport, Subsequently this is changed to a shuttle bus transfer. 2, The pickup process took one and a half hours. You could jump the queue by paying 18 euros. What a rip off. 3. On returning the car you could see who was going to be "chosen" for extreme scrutiny. The guy went over the car with what seemed like a microscope looking for damage. He found a small scratch less than 2cm long hardly visible to the human eye. Cost ....300 euros ...RIP OFF "

Sustaining a puncture thus resulted in missing a complete day of our holiday whilst being take some 150km in an appalling tow-truck to Ok's nearest depot. We were then presented with a bill in excess of 600 Euros before being provided with a replacement car for the 100km journey to Alicante airport. They were very busy and too many people packed into the very hot booking office waiting their turn. A charge was made to join 'speedy' queue ! The counter staff then tried to charge for the extra driver included in the booking I had made.. Eventually got to the car and it didn't have a key and nobody could find it - so had to go through the process again in the very crowded, hot booking office and be allocated a second car. The whole process took nearly two hours. They seemed to have too much business on a hot Saturday morning in August to cope with the facilities they have at the booking office. "

There was no attempt to fix the issue, people were pushing & no one working there seemed bothered about the delay. I ended up paying €18 euros for 'priority' checking in which only saved me around half an hour. I want that refunded!!! Complete waste of money! When I turned up to OK Cars the queue to get to the desk was 3 hours, and then after that an estimated 45 mins before I would have been able to drive away in a vehicle. Therefore as I was not prepared to wait for 4 hrs for my car, so I went and hired a car from another company. There was not anyone to talk to or any one to help the hire place was absolute chaos. " We were picked up by the free shuttle and taken to OK Rent's office where we were met with a room full of at least 50 people waiting to pick up their car. You had to collect a ticket and wait for your number to be called. For an additional 18 euros you could join the 'priority' queue. We decided to join this queue and I'm glad we did as I think we would still have been there waiting for our car otherwise! Even in the priority queue we had to wait over two hours to be served, when our car was provided it was covered in scratches and generally messy throughout. Will absolutely not be using OK Rent ever again and advise everyone else to do the same. "

" Did not have car as my error that put wrong flight time but told you only keep this for an hour. Flight was delayed so even though my initial error, unlikely you would have kept it. Only positive was at least we got a lift back to the airport rather than being told we should get taxi. Phoned to explain what had happened and told would get a refund in 8 days but still waiting for this after 11 working days so will need to ring you. Whole experience was horrendous although I obviously am at fault for putting wrong flight time down. An hour over is ridiculously small amount of time to give people. " finding the shuttle bus very tricky. I had to go round a very scratched car myself with kids in tow on a very hot day and mark down all the scratches. The cars are parked close together and inspecting was tricky. There were a lot of dents and marks and I tried to get them all down as best I could but I missed some as the kids were complaining about being in the hot sun it was 37 degrees outside. No incidents happen on our trip. We parked in a driveway. There are beepers and sensors all over the car so not likely to hit anything. When we returned to OK rent the car in front was spanish - no one looked over their car. They got the keys and left. The next car was us and the car behind was also english. He looked over our car and found a microscopic scratch! they wanted to charge us 350 euros. We did not sign and we will block our credit card... this is a scam and must be stopped. The car after us was very brand new and they found a microscopic scratch - probably from some tree branch and also wanted them to pay. Basically if you do not take out their very expensive all inclusive insurance they will find some mark and charge you anyway. This is illegal. I will be reporting to Rip off Britain. The spanish were not treated the same. "

You need to make it clear when booking g such things as a child seat and when someone ticks it the price doesn't change on website but they will be charged € 49 for the hire of one ( I was held to ransome as I could not move my child without one so had to pay ) . Frankly the whole thing was terrible and I will be making my feelings known on tripadvisor as well as other social media sights but will give you an opportunity to put things right first . " Waited ages on arrival as buses were full and not frequent enough. 'Fast track' is a rip off at EU 18 but I went for it as I had already wasted so much time getting to the office. Man on counter was threatening regarding my refusal to take out extra insurance at EU 160 (1.5 times more than the cost of the car hire!) and told me that the excess policy I had bought in the UK was worthless. He told me that OK Rental could change the T&C whenever they liked and could charge me whatever they liked when I brought the car back. Unlike other car hire companies I have used in Mallorca I was given a blank picture of the car and told that the onus was on me to mark up every dent, scratch, mark as failure to do so meant they could charge me for it as new damage when I returned the car. The car I was allocated had many, many such things. It took me a long time to document them and to play safe I also took photos. I worried all during the holiday that I would be ripped off when I returned the car but it was actually very quick and easy. Nonetheless I shall NEVER use OK Rent again due to my collection experience. "

" Shocking service. 43 people in front of us to pick up cars at 9.30pm, unless we paid 18 euros to join the queue with 12 people in front. However 2 of the 3 staff went home at 11pm. The one remaining staff member had not eaten or had water in 6 hours as he was so busy with so many angry people. We finally were able to collect our car at 2am (with 2 young children, we had a 4.5 hour wait with an empty vending machine and no way of getting food or drink unless catching a taxi to a shop). I have never experienced anything so bad in any customer driven business, and will never recommend this company. I was still forced to pay the 18 euros for the privelidge of getting the car at 2am. There were still about 20 people left to collect cars, I imagine the poor staffmemeber didn´t get home till 6am. We finally arrived at our destination at 4am and that day of our holiday was ruined, as I´m sure many people can imagine two young children do not deal well with such a broken night. Do NOT use OK rent a car. My suggestion to them is to have many more staff, and a separate queue for people who don´t bring credit cards. Each rental was taking a minimum of 20 minutes and sometimes 40 minutes. The whole process was painful. I will be formally complaining too as it was altogether unacceptable. "

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the requirement for a passport for all drivers was magically waived if we took OK Rent's own insurance (€220 for the hire period, more than 5x what we had paid through Auto Europe)! We also witnessed some hard/misleading selling of insurance to another couple whose first language was not English or Spanish which was a bit offputting. Frantic customers with flights home to catch were blackmailed into signing, by operatives who were clearly trained to handle the emotional chaos of such clear scamming by OK cars. I suggest you dis-associate yourselves from them before your own reputation becomes damaged by online and social media reaction. " My advice to anyone considering hiring form this company is to give wide berth unless you are prepared to pay for full excess cover. It is important for anyone considering hiring for this company that they put the onus on the renter to find every single minute scratch and scuff damage and record it on camera - or they will charge you for any minute damage they find on returning the car. As a frequent traveller I have hired many cars from all the main companies and many smaller companies like OK Rent a Car. I might have just been lucky but this is the first time I have experienced what seems to be the classic insurance claim scam for minor alleged damage that any other major company would not have given a second glance to (the alleged damage was a tiny 3mm square chip on the bumper). Firstly, the car was provided dirty (covered in dust and dirt) and OK Rent a Car expected me to minutely exam the car for damage and photograph it if I found any as evidence. It was virtually impossible to find all the damage due to the state the car was supplied in, but despite this I did manage to find some damage and duly recorded this on camera. On returning the car they managed to find an additional tiny mark on the rear bumper (for which they found suspiciously quickly – as if they knew it was there under the dirt). Incredibly this amounted to 200 Euros of damage! They then went on to tell me this would not be any problem as AutoEurope would pay me back without any questions as I had full cover with them. They then looked very embarrassed when they realised I did not have the excess cover with AutoEurope. "

" I specifically booked a SMALL AUTOMATIC car. On arrival at OK CARS in Palma I was told my booking was 'upgraded' to a larger automatic car at the same cost.
