" When we initially contacted you (AE) about the issues with the car we were promised that our problems would be sorted. But, as time went on it became evident that matters would not be sorted, and we were then told to sort it out AFTER we returned the car. We then received notification that you would change the car (after 2.5 weeks) by which time we were on an island off Croatia, and only had 3 days back on the mainland on our return. Due to the timing and schedule of our travel plans we were not prepared to start disrupting the last week of our holiday having already spent time trying to resolve these issues with you. "
" You have on record the problems we experienced with Oryx when we picked up the car in Zagreb, and the subsequent issues we found with it. We would expect a rental car to be clean - (inside and outside), and safe with oil in the engine, water in washer bottle and with correct tyre pressures. Sadly, none of this was the case! The upholstery was filthy and stunk of cigarettes which we had to endure for the whole time we had the car - despite a sticker on the dasboard saying "no smoking" and that there would be a €250 charge for cleaning. We could have very easily blown, or damaged the engine due to the lack of oil (ie. Only 2mm showing on the dipstick). We bought oil ourselves to hopefully rectify the issue and to keep the car roadworthy. "
