She was rude from the outset very moody even to her colleagues and other customers. She said to one out loud jesus christ why didn't you make sure you're card was working before yiu came out here. And them offered them no help. She claimed the car needed a deep clean but I only had it for 2 days and it needed vacuuming which I was under the impression was included. The check in and out procedure was carried out in a language I'm not familiar with so I didn't understand what was going on. The staff on the whole were unfriendly and unhelpful. This was obviously ridiculous as we had only spent £1400 on the car booking and had selected insurance with auto Europe. When I called auto Europe the staff were helpful and requested to speak to the rental plus staff but rental plus refused. We ended up continuing without insurance. This obviously made me nervous as there was existing damage on the car, however return was easy and funds were released. The car itself was great and had very modern features which made things easier. "

La macchina è state riconsegnata con più di 38 litri di carburante e no danni alla vettura, la ragazza ha detto tutto ok quindi I firmo sul contratto e mi dice che la cauzione verrà rilasciata in un periodo che va da 24 ore a 28 giorni. Al momento ancora non ho ricevuto sulla ma posso vedere che 65 euro sono trattenuti. E vorrei sapere la ragione. Aspetto con ansia la fine dei 28 giorni per sapere il motivo di questi soldi trattenuti. "

" See comments above. This really is a faux pas by Auto-Europe - a company I have used for thirty years. I would like some feedback from you to how this situation arose. While other companies have signs directing you to the return site, there is nothing for Rental Plus. "
" On your website you say Rental Plus are at the airport. This is untrue. You have to leave the airport, find parking lot P4 then ring for a shuttle bus. This took some time to get there with two large suitcases in over 30C heat. The shuttle bus came fairly promptly and took us to the Rental Plus site which is some distance away from the airport. It was with great difficulty that we found the site when returning the car. The Police, taxi drivers and other car rental people had no idea who Rental Plus were or where their site was. It took us forty minutes to find them and the drop-off was then handled efficiently with a shuttle bus available within minutes. You need to advertise Rental Plus as an off-airport/shuttle bus service. If we had known this before booking we would have paid extra to have an operator within the new car rental centre within the airport. A bit of a letdown for someone aged 80. "

Picking up from Catania airport Sicily we had an initial problem with leaving a deposit as our credit card was declined - unfortunately there was no WiFi in the car hire collection hall and it took a long time to make contact with our bank. The receptionist was amazing, she stayed with us throughout our attempts to get it cleared - she gave us water (no air con in hall!) tried alternative options we could apply (unfortunately too expensive) this all took a couple of hours and she never lost patience! She eventually took us to our car, helping with our golf bags and even loading into the boot!! She wouldn't take no for an answer. What a star!! Her name was something like Livy? Sadly I didn't get the correct full name but I'm led to believe she is leaving at the end of this month (this is a great loss to Rentalplus ) The car was excellent and both pickup and drop off went smoothly (eventually) Terrible access to the returns car park though ! " Awful experience! Pick up instructions incorrect - there is no P5 - just P2 to P4 on all airport information and Rental Plus is not one of the listed rental companies. You instructions mention a 50m walk but don't say it is to a shuttle bus. After pushing cases long distances to non-existent car parks, we eventually found the stop for the shuttle - totally disorganised with people pushing to the front. Car was full of dents, had a missing control button on steering wheel and was not clean. On return, if we hadn't taken a picture of the missing control button, because it wasn't listed on the agreement, they would have charged me. Deposit still not returned. I also advised them that stop/start was cutting in when the vehicle was still in motion - one at 30-40kph - their response "it can be turned off" - safety issue? I am fed up with rental companies who, while charging extra for one-way hires, use it as an opportunity to move on shoddy vehicle to another location. "

When voucher arrived I contacted your company as the voucher stated RentalPlus office closes at 8.00pm and given flights etc can be delayed I was v concerned. Told to contact rentalplus which I did - they did not respond to emails. Flight was late - turned up at their office whioch was closed. Had to get a taxi to Villa. " We had two issues. One was that we were told we had to collect our car within an hour of our booking even though the flight was delayed or the booking would be cancelled. This was extremely stressful and meant that I had to leave the kids with my wife to collect the luggage whilst I ran on to get the car. I made it just in time but did not like the pressure when the delay was not our fault. Secondly, the small print in the contract stated that we needed a credit card with the name embossed. No recently issued credit cards have this embossing. Luckily I had an older credit card which had this embossing, but many people will not. "

However, when we dropped the car off and the woman went to inspect the car (we had absolutely no damage) however she very conveniently went STRAIGHT to the manual door lock (the car was an automatic unlock) and highlighted to us that it was broken and we would have to pay for that damage unless we provided proof that it was checked before taking away (I am not sure who on earth would check the manual door lock!!). Luckily I had a photo of the side of the car and was able to show the lock. However it was quite obvious that they knew about the damage and not reported it so they could try make some money out of the customers. Quite sneaky and poor. The woman got very defensive and rude towards myself and my girlfriend. Overall very poor customer service and wouldn't recommend this company to anyone nor book with this company again for this reason. "

" Whilst the rental price was undoubtedly very competitive (and still would be fair even with the €40 rip off) for me, Auto Europe have been dragged down by Rental Plus leaving a very negative experience overall. A shame at I only opted for yourselves due to lesser reviews of cheaper alternatives "
" Car exterior was filthy when collected (including bird droppings) all of which I documented. I had declined the 14€ cleaning option as I intended to hand wash the vehicle the evening prior to dropping off, which I did, returning the vehicle in infinitely better condition than when it was given to me. It is fairly obvious that the staff at Olbia are looking for the slightest issue in order to make additional charges as there were three 1-2cm white marks on the passenger side carpet that obviously warrant a 40€ fee. In all honesty, I cannot categorically say that this didn't happen during the rental period but it was so insignificant that I wouldn't have noticed it when picking up and considering the general state of the car at that time, would not be surprised at all if they were there originally. Staff member who checked the car over on return was obnoxious and wholly unprofessional (check out staff far better) "

" An astoundingly badly run business. Our flight was delayed so we were going to arrive post 20.00hrs. endless calls to the office (pre,20.00hrs) all unanswered. The result of this being I had to hire another car (from one of the many operators who were still open!) for one day as I had to get to where we were staying some 2hrs away. I telephoned the following morning (Sunday) and eventually got an answer. I explained I was en route to collect and was everything still okay with the hire. Yes I was told. When I had worked out that the shuttle was in fact ParkingGo and not Rental plus (this could be made much clearer in your correspondence and vehicle signage) I made many further unanswered calls to arrange collection. None of which were answered. On arrival at an industrial wasteland and waiting c. 90mins to be seen, I was told that "as I hadn't arrived the night before, I'd been treated as a no-show and the car was no longer available. This is despite having been told all was well earlier that day. After approximately 5hrs I was provided with a car. The amount of people in the waiting room moaning about how poor it was, is testament to quite how shambolic the business is. "

We rented on a full to full basis, the car was not full on collection. There was damage to the car that was not noted on the form, photos were taken on collection of fuel gauge and unrecorded damage. The radio was not working, needed a code, we were given the code and advised we would be able to enter it in 8 hours, however, once we were able to enter a code, the code supplied was incorrect, so no radio for the entire rental. Drop off was good, a quick inspection of the car revealed no damage during our rental period, the process was quick and we waited approx. 5 mins for the minibus to the Airport. The price was very good for this rental, but be aware of the above points and that collection is not from the airport as suggested. "

" The car was missing the parcel shelf which was a security issue as couldn't both leave the car when stopped at service station. The battery was going on the door remote control so had to use the key to open and lock the doors. Where the car was parked was a long way from the airport and very difficult to find, had to go down a narrow passageway to get to it and not ideal with luggage.. On return, I asked one of the colleagues in the car park to check the car, however, was told that I had to go to the main desk in the airport. At the main desk, they said they would check the car later and send me an e mail. However, I wasn't happy with this so insisted that we walk back to the car park for them to check and sign off. So it took a good 45 minutes to hand the car over. Luckily we had allowed plenty of time before our flight so was able to do this. "

We waited 15 minutes before the agent returned. Also RentalPlus cars are the furthest away from the airport, requiring a 15 minute walk while dragging suitcases and in high temperatures. "

" All other rental companies shut at 10pm. Rental plus at 9pm. Our flight was delayed and they wanted to charge us £80 which is outrageous. I would understand some extra but £80 is ridiculous. Chiara was lovely and helpful. The other woman not so much...Everything was a problem. She told us to go to another company and rent another car if we arrived late even though we had already paid for our car. She then said that we couldn't have the car the next morning. Thankfully I spoke to AUTOEUROPE and they were most helpful and brilliant. We felt "defended" as your customers. She then said that they no longer had the car w had booked so would have to pay more for a bigger car. I threatened the. With calling AUTOEUROPE again and she backed off. The other people were very helpful and nice. "
