" Easy booking rental. "
" Our 16-day rental at Rome Fiumicino airport coincided with the Christmas period. We had an accident on the second day of rental and it was not possible to contact anyone because everyone was on holiday until January 6th. The whole rental was an extremely bad experience. The first big problem was the pick up of the car: the information office at the airport did not know the company. We then contacted the telephone number indicated on our voucher and found that it was the AVIS / BUDGET group call center. They were not aware of the SMILERENT company and above of all they did not have any reservation matching our voucher number. After several attempts, following the poor indications of the voucher, we managed to reach the SmileRent parking area to pickup the car. None was there and everithing was managed by a badly app: time for the operation 2 hours. Drop off the car even worst of pickup, it was extremely difficult. First of all because it took about 2 hours to find the parking. The navigator did not find the address. and the app did not show any map. Secondly because the app was not working and we couldn't close the rental: time for the operation 3 and a half hours! Luckily we were 5 hours early on our flight schedule. if not, we would have missed our flight. In conclusion, we strongly recommend avoiding SMILERENT company. "

" Have been using Auto Europe for 10 years now and have generally had good service from rental companies, first time to book Smile Rent, very cheap no frills service, watch out for the cleaning charge. "
" Overall good experience, cheap price and no frills pick up and return, however was disappointed to be charged €21.59 cleaning fee when I returned the car in a clean condition. Lack of English speaking staff maybe an issue with this, I understood when I picked up that returning the car in a fairly clean condition would not incur charges, not that charges would be made whatever the condition of the car, which seems to have been the case... "

" Not only was the information about picking up the car very poor but autoeurope put a phone number for smilerent on my voucher that when I rang it actually resulted in a very expensive mobile call to avis/budget not smilerent at all!!! I hire cars often and never have I experienced such a debacle. "
" Smile rent was fine if I had had proper Instrustions on how to pick the car up but at the time I did there was no staff there, No info point working, No online chat available and no phone number to call either at smile rent or autoeurope. This resulted in 85 euros for cabs to the hotel and back to the airport in the morning when someone could help with the problem I had the previous night. It also resulted in only getting to the hotel at 2 on the morning which was a very bad start to my holiday. "
