It has been a long time since the whole family got together for a trip somewhere around the globe. There being four of us, hiring a motorhome
has become the ideal choice of transportation to handle our adventures.
There once was August in Scandinavia, touring the Netherlands for a couple of weeks in early Summer, among other itineraries. Sadly, the last family vacation on the road did not include my own self - someone has to work around here! - and so there they went to the Black Forest in Germany, my favourite bunch of happy campers!Lately, I've been thinking that next time we should go all out, take our adventurous selves over the Big Pond and conquer the American trails! Oh, such dreams of grandeur in a USA car hire
while I sit here at my work desk, typing the hours away.
So, next up is California! That sounds like a fairly decent state to travel in, with much to see and do in the best way we like - only us and the open road. The Golden State offers a wide selection of Motorhome Parks, packed with the essentials one might need during a rest stop from all the driving. Since we are such Nature fans, probably the best would be to hire a motorhome in California
and explore the many National Parks along the state; from the top of my head, I can think of the Sequoia National Park where one can admire the Giant Sequoia trees, which includes General Sherman tree - the largest tree in the world! The Death Valley National Park is another interesting route: its name isn't very charming but people have assured me the landscape is!
Not everything about California is made of the ups and downs of its mountains and valleys; after what I can imagine will be quite a drive, we'll head on through the famous Route 66 to the coast and enjoy a soothing view of the Pacific Ocean, right at our doorstep! Los Angeles seems to incorporate all we're going to need for our farewell: sunny weather and good vibes.Have you ever taken a trip like this? I bet there is some fun trivia to share about holidaying with a motorhome!
