" The meet and greet pick up was efficient. We were then taken to an offsite 'office' (remote portocabin type) and completed paperwork. We were asked to pay £25 in cash as a deposit against returning the vehicle clean. The van completely lost power on the D400 about 45 mins later, we managed to get to a garage and after some time it restarted. There was no roadside assistance company, just a mobile number for the man at the 'office', he did not respond for well over an hour. The breaks on the van were not in any way as good as you would expect, the hand break felt like it was going to break every time it was used, the reverse indicator on the gearstick was in the wrong place. It was in very bad condition. The next day we contacted the firm who agreed to bring a replacement van to us that evening which was great, but in reality we lost a day of our holiday having to wait in. A reputable car rental firm should not have provided such an unsafe and bad van in the first instance. When we dropped back there was no mentipn of returning the £25 to us, and the man who was there did not speak any English at all. This is by far the worst car rental experience I have had through autoeurope and I would recommend you consider whether to partner with them moving forwards. "

" Autoeurope was a smooth booking process, however the reviews for greenmotion seem unusually high for what seemed like a scam company to me. "
" Despite proof of the booking, green motion altered details of what my booking covered. They stated I did not have unlimited mileage, that I was not insured, and that there was no wheel or tyre cover. They stated that despite the proof of my rental agreement stating differently, they stated with any accident or damage, they would charge my deposit card with the full amount of damage, even so much as a written off vehicle, and it would be my responsibility to try and claim this back from autoeurope. They then tried to upsell me a further insurance to prevent this, and stated that the air con doesn't work well in petrol vehicles and tried to upsell me to a diesel for an additional £90 total. They were very pushy with this and it felt like a scam. Also, on multiple occassions they tried to get me to sign documents without letting me read them fully. They attempted to get me to sign that the vehicle had no existing damage to it before i had even seen the vehicle. Overall, I am very unhappy with the service and I would not suggest anyone to use them. "

" We've used AutoEurope before with no issues (Canary Islands) but AutoEurope needs to be more careful in selecting business partners who seem to have a policy of tricking customers out of money which is taken from their deposit. "
" Firstly, the phone number for the airport office on the collection voucher was out of service. The assistant was insistent about taking out a full insurance package with dire comments about police and consequences in any accident. He briefly added the comment about 'excessive soiling' causing an additional charge. In spite of having swept the car out twice and washed it twice, on return to the office he took 10 minutes photographing the interior and exterior then saying there were traces of sand on the floor mats and dust marks on the sills so we were to be charged £20. As we had spent the last week in a hotel, we obviously had no access to a vacuum cleaner. We were basically tricked into paying more. No other car hire company I have used insists on pristine condition on return. This was sharp practice. We will never use Green Motion again and will warn others to avoid. Worst I have ever used in 40 years of global travel. "

" Car pick up location hard to find. Loud music was playing and the guy handing over the car smelled of alcohol. There were multiple issues with the car particularly a cracked windscreen, only a quarter tank of fuel and a bubble on the wall of the front right tyre which we only noticed on arrival at our location. With ten miles of leaving the pick up location, a tyre pressure warning for the front left tyre appeared. The contract was never received despite us correcting our email addresses on their Ipad at the time of pick up. On return, the drop off location was very difficult to find and the staff were very rude and intimidating. " I was being persuaded to pay for cleaning of the car when it was not required at all. Also I was told that bringing the car back at half tank would suffice as it was delivered at same level, however upon return the requirements changed to slightly higher level. Cash payment was being requested for 400 TLR which would have filled almost 3/4 of tank, about 9 ltrs, where as actual requirement would not be more than 4 ltrs equivalent of 200 TLR. Not sure how much will be charged for same on my card. It was a poor experience of drop off and ways to fleece money "

" When you arrive, you need to call Circular and a driver comes and picks you up from the airport in your rental car, in which you all go to their office to do the paperwork, which was very quick in our case. This is a convenient setup as you get your bags straight in the car for your onward journey and removes the need of transfers by bus (or similar) and getting out of the airport. However, it can be tricky if you have no spare seats; not sure how they deal with that. Return is just the reverse: you drive to their office, they check the car and do the paperwork and then one of their drivers drives you, still in the same car, with all your luggage, to the airport drop-off zone. We were three people + luggage so for us this worked absolutely fine. We thought it a great relief not having to negotiate the dense traffic around the airport ourselves. "

" This is the third time we have used Europcar. Our voucher stated that it included additional drivers which Europcar said was not on their booking info so had to pay extra. The car supplied was not in good condition having 142000 kilometres on the clock badly marked seats a warning message that it needed an oil change and towards the end of our holiday the engine management orange warning light was constantly illuminated. One of the worst hire cars I have ever had in over 30 years of renting cars abroad. The counter are staff are always friendly. Due to us being delayed by a whole day due to flight cancellations and a 2 hour drive ahead of us I couldn't be bothered to get into explaining why I wasn't happy with the car we just wanted to get on with our holiday. I did tell them when I returned the car how unhappy I was with it. "

" Not very good. The car was old and battered with existing damage on it. The car was supposed to have been delivered full (according to the booking terms) and then subsequently returned full (which is the fairest way to do it), however, it was delivered empty. Then on drop off they said that the inside of the car was dirty and that they were going to charge to clean it. In 25 years of hiring cars I've never had this before. There was no rubbish or mud on the inside, all that there was was sandy/duty foot marks on the rubber foot mats. "

" Pick up was extremely frustrating and confusing. We were at Antalya airport looking for Carnet which didn't exist. Unbeknownst to us we were looking for Alocar, but also there is no Alocar kiosk at the airport so even if we had known they it was Alocar we wouldn't have found it. This was not stated anywhere on the paperwork. We phoned the number on the paper work and was told someone was on the way and would be there in 10 minutes. No one arrived, our phones then wouldn't connect to the number again. Our paper work said that the office closed at 22:00 and by this time it is 21:40. I ended up asking passers by if I could use their phone to phone the office. Finally found someone who could speak English and was kind enough to let me use their phone. Spoke to the office and once again they said they would be there in 10 minutes and to wait by Starbucks.. 30mins later still waiting by Starbucks no one arrived. Had to find someone else with a phone. Spoke to the Alocar office again. They said 10 minutes again. Finally someone arrived and took us to the Alocar office. Nearly 2 hours of waiting with 2 small hungry children, wondering if we are going to have to try and find accommodation in Antalya at 23:00. An extremely bad and stressful experience. "

" We purchased full insurance through autoeurope. However goldcars refused to give us the car unless we purchase full insurance again, that was extra £50. The vehicle had dents and scratches all over, which was highlited to the officers where we collect the car, their answer was that is ok as we are fully insured. Thank goodness we took a video of the condition of the car on collection, as shortly after we dropped the car off, we received an email from the insurance as they tried to claim we had dented and scratch the car. When we dropped off the car, as it was after hours, we were meant to drop the key in a key box. Someone approached us and asked for the keys saying they can park the car for us and drop the key (confirmed scan). Also, a day later, they claimed we have not returned the car with a full tank, fortunately we had taken a picture of the dashboard showing a full tank and kept the receipt for filling the tank just prior to drop off. I have noticed a £13 charge on my account from goldcars, no explanation, which I will have to call them tomorrow for an explanation. In conclusion, avoid them, but if you must use them make sure you protect yourself by keeping solid evidence of every little mark on the car. "

" Our incoming flight to Trabzon from IST was delayed and I called Windy Car ahead of that to inform them I would be arriving very late. The number I called was picked up by a local staff who indicated that someone would be at the airport as part of the meet and greet. Upon arrival no one was there and I called the same number. The staff picked up but it was 01:30 in the morning but nothing was achieved. I drove by their offices on the way to Yomra to find it was closed. Later that morning at 11 AM I went to their office near the airport to pick up the car only to be told that their systems restarted and that because I had picked up the car the night before the reservation had been cancelled. It took some effort to explain to the staff that my flight was delayed and I had tried to reach the office without any joy. Eventually, they re-activated the reservation and I was able to collect the car. As part of the reservation I had requested a baby seat for our 10 month old, but they had run out even though I had prepaid for it. I had to go another rental place next door and pay extra for the seat which was not rear facing so it was not really ideal for our 10 month old. I had to pay a £50 deposit for the seat which I eventually got back once the car was returned. "

" There's a real confusion over who to contact, is it pandora? Or is it Oscar rent a car, no ones heard of pandora. Contacting pandora was a nightmare, engaged phone lines, language barriers, extremely unclear instructions from autoeurope and pandora. Phone call on arrival needs to be rethought, it doesn't work and you end up wasting a lot of time. It took me around 45-60 minutes after arrival trying to receive the car. The drop-off instructions are also very unclear, they should specify that you dont bring the car to the car rental returns and maybe help by providing a screenshot of a map on where to go. "

In the end i found a worker wearing the windy-car t-shirt serving another customer in the carpark and approached him. On return i had contacted before hand and agreed with the worker that i would drop off the car at 6am. on arrival there was no one there and no way to drop off the car. I waited half an hour before fearing i would miss my flight then i left the car keys in the glove box and went walking to the airport (bearing in mind the windycar office is outside the airport). a few hours later windycar started to pull money from my account several times and i tried to contact them but there was no reply. Until now they have not returned the deposit and they have deducted a substantial amount over several transactions without explaining why. "

Furthermore, I would like to get back the money I spent on the Satnav that did not work and the £35 I spent finding the address on Google with my phones data. Depending on the outcome of my complaint regarding the Satnav I may or may not recommend Auto Europe. "
" On Saturday 12th of October we arrived at Izmir airport in Turkey and we went to the Gold Car counter which was in another terminal and since hardly anyone speaks English it took us more than half an hour to find. It would be useful to put the full address of which terminal the desk is located instead of only putting down the address as "desk in terminal". On arrival at the the desk we got the paperwork and we needed to pay for the car seat and the Satnav. The person behind the counter also asked if we require insurance which I said no. He then took out his mobile phone and showed me a photo of two very small scratches and said if you don't have insurance and the car gets scratches like these we will charge you 1000 tl (£150). I thought this was too much, however I did not want to take any risks. I was handed over the contract. The one for me to keep was in English and the other one for Goldcar in Turkish. I was told to sign the one in Turkish. No matter how much I told the person behind the counter that I didn't understand what I will be signing they said that the Turkish one is the translation of the English one. I think this is wrong as the Turkish one could be anything as I don't understand Turkish. I think most people coming from other countries don't understand Turkish, therefore your representative behind the counter should understand English and should give an English version to us to sign. I signed the documents since I had paid for the car and me and my family were very tired. We went to the parking to get the car. The person in charge showed us a few options for the child car seat. All of them had biscuit and crisp bits in them which the company had not even bothered to shake off. Some of the child car seats had chocolate marks on them. I chose one or two that only had biscuit and crisp bits so I could shake off but the guy showed us that they did not have belt to buckle my child. Therefore there was only two options left that had chocolate marks. I asked what's the point of putting the seats that don't work and asking me to choose from them. Unfortunately the guy did not speak a word of English. He put the car seat inside the car and I put my child in it and tried to fasten the seat belt. I could not fasten him since the seat did not have the lock at the bottom in order to fasten the belts into. I called the guy and showed him that. The guy took the car seat and brought a clean child car seat that was hidden in his office and was not in the options he showed me. Anyway, we got the address and I asked the guy to show me how to put the address in the Satnav since it is different in Turkey how the put their address in comparison to the UK. No matter how much he tried to put the address he could not do it. Finally he said that he has put the town we were going to (Kuşadası). We sat in the car and we started to go towards Kuşadası, at the same time I was thinking what do we do when we reach the town and how do we find the address of the hotel in Kuşadası. As we went outside of the airport the route to the town on the Satnav suddenly went away and I didn't know which way to go. It was at that time that I could not take it anymore and at the first roundabout I turned around and went back to the airport and went to the main desk that I did the contracts. I told your representative behind the counter that I don't want the Satnav since it doesn't work. The guy said that he cannot take it back. Please be aware that from the time we got the car to the moment I arrived at the desk it didn't take even 20 minutes. I told the guy to put the address in the Satnav and he replied that he doesn't know how to work with it and to go back to the other guy that hands over the cars. I told him that he could not put the address of the hotel and could only put the town we are going to. He phoned his colleague and confirmed what I told him. He then told us that Kuşadası is a small town if we go there we can search for the hotel and it would not take very long. Hearing this after approximately 2.5 hours after the flight has landed with a tired family which includes a 1.5 year child was devastating and humiliating. No matter how much I argued with the guy ( who did not speak English very well) it was pointless. He could not understand how we cannot go around in a town 1.5 hours away from the airport in search of a Hotel at 12:30 midnight with a 1.5 year old child. He kept saying that the town is small you will find it. After half an hour of arguing that I don't need this Satnav because it's not showing me the address and that for the same price I can get a SIM card for my phone with data and find the address on Google he searched on the internet and came back with an address and told me that this is the correct address and I should pit that in the Satnav. I did as he told me and it showed a route to an address in Kuşadası. We went towards the address and reached it after 1.5 hours. However, when we arrived there was a row of houses with a security guard. I told the guard that we had reservations at the hotel and the guard that did not speak English told us "No Hotel". It was at that time that I found out that this is a wrong address that we have come to. I showed him the address we had and he moved his hand in a motion that indicated far away. At that time I took out my phone and spent £3 per 1 MB of data, put the address in Google and went to the address. We arrived in half an hour at 1:30am with a tired and hungry wife and child having spent £35 of data. I put the Satnav in the dashboard and never used it since. I called your company the next day and spoke with a very nice man who asked me to send an email to this address. I do not know why Goldcar representative behind the counter could not take back the Satnav and had to put me and my family in such a situation. I am not happy with your services especially since my wife and child had to experience this. Because of this experience we were very tired and as a result did not enjoy the next two days of our holiday. "

" AutoEurope did nothing to ensure we got the vehicle promised and their response to our complaints was totally dismissive. We will NOT USE Auto Europe again! They have provided no service for their share of the booking cost and we had to argue to get the refund as the Fox booking was cancelled. "

" Your car company which you used could have killed us and put our lives in danger. We are member on numerous Turkish forum with over 2 million followers and will be tell everyone not to use your company and Fox. "
" We picked the car up at around 11.00 at night, it wasn't at the airport so we were driven to there office to collect it. We could see the car in detail as it was dark. We drove 30 mins down the road where we were staying with family for the night. The next morning when looking at the car we noticed both front tyres were completely bald and one had a huge air bubble on the side. We phoned Fox who knew about these issue and said the manufacturer would change the tyres. We when to 2 independent tyre repair companies who both said the tyres were very dangerous and could blow out at any minute. We then drove back to the hire company for them to change the tyres. After 1 hour of arguing and made to feel awfu - they said they would give us a better car - this wasn't the case we ordered a manual desiel car and they gave us a very small automatic petrol car even though I had paid a premium for the desiel car. They have is no choice it was that or drive a dangerous car. We took the replacement car which cost us a lot in petrol compared to the car we ordered and when back to change the car again after to 2 day when the tyres had been changed. One of the workers just walked off when we turned up. We noticed the petrol dial was on red as they hadn't replaced the petrol used driving 2 hours to get the tyres replaced. On returning the car at the end of the holiday we filled the tank up minus the petrol they used. There was nobody at the office so we had to call 2 times and finally a man came not a worker but friend who drove us to the airport. He mentioned the petrol was down and we explained - we are still waiting to see if they are going to fine us for this - if they do we will be contacting our police friend in turkey. "

" We are very dissatisfied with the service provided by Fox. After we defined a specific date/time for the car pick-up (departures entrance in the Antalya Airport), the person responsible for that arrived approx. 1h30 late with no notice, and we lost our flight because of that. Furthermore, the Fox employee did not seem to care about our complaints and showed absolutely no empathy with our problem (we had to go to Izmir by bus, a 7h drive that made us loose an entire day of our trip). We want to know how we can be compensated for these problems by the rent-a-car company. We lost the plane tickets and had to buy bus tickets, not to mention the time/stress cause by this situation. We had no idea what to do and were helped by a rival car hire desk who phoned Budget and a man from Budget eventually found us outside the international terminal. The car provided was bigger than the one we had booked and was only 6 months old. We were disappointed that it broke down on the second day because the clutch fluid was dry. The other small complaint is that a deposit was actually taken from my credit card on pick-up and refunded on return by when the Turkish lira was worth less. On other occasions hire companies have used my credit card details as security, with no money changing hands. Otherwise, once contact was made with Budget, the pick-up and drop-off arrangements were fine. "
