" the main problem is that i was charged extra €50 for "out of hours" service even though the official website states that the rental office is open until 11pm and we were there shortly after 10.30pm. the rental agent informed me that they charge this fee after 10pm and that was not advertised anywhere. for that only i would avoid this company for my future rentals "

" I had a query on a charge on my credit card by the subcontracted hire company. I telephoned your company and was told I had to contact the subcontracted company myself or submit a claim for the withdrawal on my card. I explained my contract was with your company which you has subcontracted so it was your responsibility to investigate the charge. Your employee refused to listen and just stated your company policy. Your customer service was very disappointing. "

" I am particularly pleased with Auto Europe since our deposit was only 290 euros but book with competitors and they require deposits of 890 euros. "
" Car was clean, worked well and available. They wanted the car returned clean otherwise a cleaning charge would apply. We thought after 3 weeks in a dusty environment, a reasonable expection was to return a dusty car but not full of sand/chocolate etc. They do not block the deposit but bank it and then refund which leaves UK customers at the mercy of exchange rates. "

When we came out of the terminal there were no signs for Yours rental and in the end we discovered we had to walk out of the terminal car park and a little way down the road. The car was fine but well used. There was quite a bit of minor damage on it which thankfully we photographed before taking it because some of it hadn't been recorded by by Yours "

" I had booked and paid for an intermediate Elite SUV, but when I arrived at Yours I was told that, because my flight had arrived more than one hour late, my car had been given to somebody else. I was given instead a Citroen C3 which struggled frequently to get up the steep hills in Kefalonia. "

" 1) This was advertised as being on-site at airport - there was no desk at the airport and it was actually a walk outside of the airport which was not ideal as my wife was in a wheel chair. 2) I was charged Eur 20 for cleaning. The car was not heavily used and was clean - as it had rained there was some dust on the car but this is the first time I have ever been charged - it should have been made more clear that this was effectively a mandatory charge. "

" Yours Rhodes: Staff were very smiling, attentive, polite, and swift, and there was no hard sell on extra insurance whatsoever. Both pick-up and drop-off were a doddle, and the deposit was returned only a couple of days afterwards. Car was new (208 1.2 normally aspirated), not the quickest thing (my choice), but ideal for Rhodes (which has a few dirt/gravel tracks & car parks and a theoretical maximum speed limit of 80kmh), car was very clean and fresh inside (please remember persistent dust on the island when judging external), and price was excellent, less than a pint at the pub/day. On driving off, an unfamiliar dash light came on, and going back they dealt with it immediately. Yours will be my go-to every time I return to Rhodes from now: 5 stars. Thank you Sevi and to your manager! "

" We have used Auto Europe on numerous occasions over the last 12 years and have had a trouble free experience every time. Ironically our only experience of a car hire scam was the sole occasion we dealt directly with an agent for one of the big names in the car rental business. "
" The pickup and dropoff together with the collection and return process were all efficiently and courteously handled. The Nissan Micra had obviously seen a lot of use, but it drove well enough. The hire cost was very reasonable, so show room condition could hardly be expected at the price. "

" Absolutely appalling . Car unroadworthy and no response to help numbers. A miracle we didn't have an accident. I have made a formal complaint to Auto Europe which took some doing as their customer service e mails only allows queries about charges and the office is closed on Wednesday and Thursday! Waiting for a response. "
" Car was completely unroadworthy. Sent out with the temporary spare on the front tyre and a flat in the boot. Drivers front tyre also found to be defective. We spent a whole day trying to contact the office, waiting for a pick up truck and waiting in a garage for 3 tyres to be replaced. The key was held together with Sellotape so the central locking didn't work. Would never ever use this company again. "

Staff are lovely but the time taken to pick car up seems much longer than other providers. " The car was a bit run down - the radio was locked with a code which we weren't provided, the windscreen wipers were inefficient and didn't remove the water used to clean the windscreen and the gearbox was quite clunky (which was extra challenging using right-hand drive for the first time). " We were very disappointed to arrive and be told that the hybrid car we booked was not available (despite booking in advance) and we got a 'free upgrade to a Citron C3 - which was not a free upgrade as I paid £30 extra in the first place to get a Hybrid car to save on petrol. So the 'free' upgrade that we did not want cost us £30. The manager Theodore would not accept our point of view on this and was very forceful in the delivery telling us with a smirk 'I will just cancel the booking and you can go somewhere else' like that was a great option when we had just walked from the airport (no transfer, we had to walk in 35 degrees heat with our suitcases) and then he wanted us to trawl round for another rental car which he knew full well we wouldn't get for the same price. He accused a member of our party of swearing when the words were "you don't like the FACT we don't agree with you" this was a very cheap accusation to make and he only admitted fault in making the accusation because our whole party had heard what was said. No aggression was used, he just did not like a woman telling him in a stern manner that we were not happy. It was a nightmare. He finally agreed to give us 2 bars of petrol and promised to ring us the next day to let us know if the hybrid car came back and was available, he didn't bother ringing us. The only good part was dropping the car back off when Theodore wasn't there and the nice pleasant woman was there and we had an easy time handing it back and getting our £290 deposit refunded. "

" Not the desk ladies fault - they were great. But I would have expected to rent a car with safe tyres that didn't puncture every other day because of previous damage - it feels like the car hadn't been checked properly and shouldn't have passed quality control. "
" The rental office had no address, we had to walk around the airport blindly at 11.30pm to try to find it with very confusing directions from the lady on the phone. I was charged 40Euros for 'out of hours' on Collection as my flight was delayed by an hour and we struggled to find the office. The car I rented felt bumpy from the start - my passenger was complaining of bobbing up and down. As it was dark (midnight), it was impossible to check any parts. The clutch was very loose. As we were travelling mostly up and down the Corfu mountains - it meant the car stalled a lot on steep roads and narrow chicane turns. We finally got a tyre checked up as the pressure was low, it had been punctured. New punctures then happened daily and had to be fixed 4x times - which is a big inconvenience on holidays. The garage showed us the tyre and it was bulging so much it was deemed unsafe to put back on and we were recommended to drive the car with the spare tyre for on our last day and all the way back to the car rental. It was also explained that as the tyre was so old and damaged, it was likely picking up any tack on the road and getting punctured. We paid 55euros on punctures repairs. Overall, not satisfied with the quality of the car at all. "

In Paros the rental agreement etc was from Yours. But this rental in Naxos was from a company called Fornax rentals, and the rep and car were from a company called CMA rentals. So it was sub, sub, sub contracted out. Very poor value for money. "

" The vehicle would not take 2 suitcases; one had to be placed on the rear seat therefore the vehicle was not suited to taking a driver and 2 passengers. The vehicle was dirty inside with marks to all all seats and sand and dirt to all of the carpet. There appeared to be a problem with the gearbox and/or engine of the car as the car would not drive up a hill with 2 people in it. On all terrain it was difficult to select gear This vehicle I was hired was no better than scrap. The desk staff were professional, polite and courteous. "

" I am still waiting to hear back from Auto Europes Customer Service following an email I sent on 5/9/23. We were caught up in the Air Traffic Control problem on 28/9/23. I did ring Auto Europe during the chaos but because we had no idea if our flight would be cancelled or if we were just due for a long delay your representative could not help us - a note on our booking would probably of been of some help! It was late when the flight was eventually cancelled, however we did fly out at 6am the following morning - only to discover on arrival that Auto Europe cancelled our booking due to 'No Show' at 7.30 am whilst we were mid air. The circumstances were unprecedented, the experience caused enormous stress & anxiety. Your Customer Service team surely should be trained for such eventualities and have the courtesy to contact possible affected customers to enquire about their status before harshly canelling bookings under these circumstances. We were left with no choice but to hire another car, this severly messed with our holiday budget and quite honestly was the icing on the cake and really did spoil things for us. Appalling service. I await a full refund. "

" Overall very happy with whole process - only complaint is our flight was delayed for 3hrs which meant we arrived past 11pm. We were told by numerous people that we asked that a shuttle would come for us. When I called the office after waiting 30mins, we were told the shuttle wasn't running now and someone came and collected us. More information should be provided in situations like this as we wasted a lot of time waiting for the shuttle that was never going to come and ended getting to our hotel after 1am. "

Everything worked well and would happily use Yours in Rhodes again. Did need a bit of patience at the airport as there is a mismatch between what Auto Europe say is the meeting point and what the actual meeting point is. "

" The car was OK, but it had many small dings and defects. That in itself didn't bother me, but I was concerned that they had not all been recorded on the inspection report (I took photos). In the end it was no problem, but I'd rather not have had to worry about it leading up to returning the car - I have had issues in the recent past which took considerable time to sort out (not with this company). Drop off took longer than necessary because I had to return to the counter (there was a queue) to get my deposit refunded. Most companies but a reserve on the card that expires automatically, but Yours actually took payment from my card and I'm still waiting for the funds to arrive back. "

" We rented a car from this firm and were concerned at the hard-sell tactics used to persuade us that we need to take out their premium extra cover even though we had a separate cdw policy. We are experienced renters and always use a separate cdw policy, but we were almost taken in by hard sell tactics which claimed that "lost hire costs" (ie the hire income the firm would have earned if our car was off the road as a result of needing repair) would not be covered by our separate cdw, and was never included in these policies. A very nice smooth talking young man almost persuaded us to pay as much as the two weeks basic rental (£300) for extra cover. When we checked later with our insurance they confirmed that these costs were indeed covered by our separate cdw, as is standard in most such policies. We did not appreciate being hard sold extra charges on the basis of basically false information "

The oil pressure was very low and the car messaging advised to switch the vehicle off! The car was a very old Fiat Panda with both the cloth and accelerator pedal getting stuck. We were unable to use the car for the whole week due to the recovery staff not being able to find our booking number on the system. Complete shambles!! "
