" It is not within the terminal building unlike the impression given on the website. I emailed to ask exactly where they were situtated and did not get a reply. Website says 4€ per day for an additional driver - they said it was 5€ (and it's the agent ie Autoeurope who quoted 4€ not them). The contract said the fuel policy was "full-full" but there was only a quarter of a tank in so they said to return it with that amount in. WHy ask which fuel policy you want when your answer is ignored? Had to either wash the car before returning it or pay 10€ to Volta for them to do it - no mention of this anywhere on the confirmation. Having said all that the car was much better than expected, almost brand new. "

" Whilst driving I damaged the tailgate on the car I had taken out Full Protection Insurance through Auto Union so on return to Green Motion paid for the damages as per my insurance policy. Upon returning home to the UK I filled in the on line claim form and within 2 days I was fully reimbursed for the damage. I can only say that I have used Auto Union many times over the years when driving abroad and again they have provided me with exactly what I require and through their insurance process made an extremely stressful situation a very positive experience "
" We hired a car through Auto Union and the local renter was Green Motion. We were well aware that they would not meet us at the Airport but the Rental Office is really easy to find. On arrival the car was ready for us and was an Opel Corsa less than i year old and in excellent condition. Unfortunately I damaged the car whilst reversing on a narrow road. We took the car back to the rental office and explained the situation and we were told to come back at drop off time where we would be given a price for the damage. Within 10 minutes of Drop Off time I had paid for the damage I had caused as per my Insurance requirements. " Ionian car rentals T/A Surprice at Zakynthos Airport provided me with a vehicle with 106,000 Kim's on the clock. They were insistent on me taking their extra cover at a cost of approximately €230 even though I had insisted I had this cover through yourselves and refused to pay this extortionate amount. They also said that they had inspected the car, a Grey Yaris reg no XEK 3832 but that I take photos/video of its condition. I did so noting the scratches on the panels that were visible to me in bright sunlight. None of these scratches showed up on their pre rental paperwork and the emphasis was on the client to records any damage. Throughout the hire, the car would annoyingly not start for some minutes after the first drive where engine was hot showing a "car not ready" message on the dash. It was also overdue a service. As we were staying the length of the island away from the Airport, I decided that it would have taken a large part of our day to have this resolved. I did advise the check in person on my return who ignored my comments. They obviously do not spend money on upkeep or replacements of their vehicles. On my return, the check in clerk went to check the car and went straight to the r/h lower bumper and immediately found a scrape on its lowest point. I believe that they knew of this from a previous rental. Unfortunately I did not have a photo of this precise point and therefore charged me €341 damage charge which I will reclaim from my full excess cover purchased through yourselves. I believe that this company are intent on obtaining any extra income from their clients. My daughter also rented a car through them and the same person attempted to extort damage payments from them as well but they had taken an all round video of the car and when shown that, the pulled back from insisting o the payment. I would recommend not promoting rentals through this company if you wish to have satisfied customers. "

I had multiple debit cards in my married name but only one credit card that was in my maiden name as new one hadn't come in time. Despite showing documents to prove it was me, I was charged €165 simply for using my debit card. I used the credit card to make the booking and it was acceptable then. Counter staff were so unhelpful, didn't want to know and then got frustrated with us for pointing out scratches on the car that weren't marked on the paperwork "

" It was awful! The staff were very good on collection but as soon as we got the vehicle back to thew property is stopped working. The oil pressure was very low and the car messaging advised to switch the vehicle off! The car was a very old Fiat Panda with both the cloth and accelerator pedal getting stuck. " Our transfer driver was waiting for us at Zakynthos airport ready to take us to collect our hire car. The overall service that we received was excellent. We hired a low mileage, clean Fiat Panda 5-door car, very nice to drive, economical, reliable, even had water in the screen wash bottle :-) On returning the car after our 14 day holiday, the experience was has good as on our initial arrival at the beginning of our holiday. I even double checked I had MEET & GREET with Auto Europe by phone before departing On the day of arrival , there was no one from Global to meet us .I spent about an hour going around the airport to try and find where the Global desk was!! I called Auto europe for help.The man I spoke to said 100% there is a Global desk/office at Zakynthos airport & so off I went to find it but it was not there ??!! Finally after speaking with 3/4 other local car rental companies at the airport they said I could find Global outside the airport across the dual carriageway ! I left my wife and son and trekked off in the heat crossing a busy dual carriageway and finally found the Global 'office' by the side of the dual carriageway. The Global man at the desk was called 'Denny '' . He said Global did not do MEET & GREET . I also had to return the car to the same place afterwards and criss cross the dual carriageway to get to the airport. Basically Auto Europe made a contractual written & verbal promise to provide Meet & Greet but this was not provided and caused us a 1.5 hour delay in the damned airport trying to discover what on earth was going on Not a great start to the holiday "

" We were unable to travel due to COVID-19 and our tui flight being cancelled- we had booked a car for the two weeks- I called to explain the situation but was told I would have to pay the entire amount and there was nothing that could be done. I offered to defer the booking until later when we visited the island again but they refused. I think that given the present world situation there should have been a little more compassion and understanding. You say the customer service is your top priority- this is obviously not the case. "

I called the number on the booking confirmation a few days before flying to check that a change of drop off and pick up would be OK. He said to speak to the guys in Zakynthos on arrival. When we turned up I was met by a grumpy pair of men who scolded me for being late, called me a liar when I explained the phone call and told me how lucky I was that they kept the car for me. I had prepaid, so I would have expected them to keep the car or call me or email or something. Either way, I dislike being called a liar and I really don't like to be treated like a fool when I am a paying customer. The car I was fobbed off with was a mess. An old Nissan that had scratches on three panels, spongy brakes, no washer fluid, many rattles and useless wiper blades. I doubt it had been serviced for an age. The whole experience was disastrous. I will never use green motion again. "

" No real issues as such with booking through your website. However, you really shouldn't picture gleaming, brand new vehicles, when in actual fact they turn out to be battered old wrecks. For this reason, I probably wouldn't recommend you. Exploring Zante was my top priority, but I wasn't able to see half of it, purely because of the state of the vehicle. "
" The staff and premises were fine. My issue was the condition of the vehicle. I'm fully aware that I only ordered an economy car. I fully expected a low powered, small vehicle. What I didn't expect was a battered, old Fiat Panda. The gears were shot to pieces and loose. The was an internal handle missing above one of the rear doors. The lack of power was so evident that sadly I wasn't able to explore any of the higher parts of the islands as I had no confidence that the car would actually make it. Whilst driving, the engine sounded tinny and rattled, causing me concern that I could break down at any time. The condition of the bodywork was poor, with numerous bumps and dents. The rear bumper was broken on one side too. The steering and air con was good, however, and the road handling was sound. I don't believe I got value for money, though. Not just that, but to be forced to part with an 800 Euro deposit (which i'm still waiting for) was a joke. The car wasn't even worth 800 Euros. "

" There was a substantial size crack in the windscreen, when i said i was concerned that the window could shatter, i was informed it wouldn't. Unfortunately only car available, and as we had no other means of transport, i felt i had no option but to take the vehicle. I understand their logic behind not repairing it, as the season would be over very soon and they would then complete all outstanding work. I don't agree, but there you go. I've used yourself numerous times, and Abby cars, with never a problem, the staff are very helpful and pleasant, but i felt i was over a barrel and had no option. This won't stop me using you again, but i feel i had to inform you in my feedback. The crack, or a system of cracks was fairly extensive about a fist size. There were also many many scratches and scrapes, which was pointed out to me. As i said the staff were excellent "

This should not be taken out of the customers account unless there is is very good reason as the terms of the hire agreement state. " Prior to this experience we have been regular users of Auto Europe for price and quality, but whilst we wouldn't say avoid Auto Europe as they have a very good track record, we might start to look at other options. "
" Our voucher said that we would be met at the airport but there was nobody to meet us and in the end we made our way over to the office which was right on the edge of the airport. Once we got there staff were very efficient but it's a shame the instructions on the voucher were inaccurate. The car was very poor quality - the central locking failed after one day and the general condition was very poor (one of the front tyres nearly bald). On return, staff said that we should have come back and swapped the car but this would not have been convenient, and we also feel the car should never have been rented out. It was off-peak so it should not have been difficult to find a decent car. Apart from that staff were very helpful and efficient on pick-up and return. "

" Autoeurope have robbed me of the full cost of car hire when a car was not provided to me. Upon arrival I did not have a credit card only a debit card. When asked to put my partner in the rental and use her card we were refused. When cash was offered for the deposit we were refused. Upon calling autoeurope they informed me they would not provide a refund and that I would have to make a new booking in my partners name as she has a credit card for deposit. Absolutely joke, daylight robbery taking the full cost of the rental. What a wonderful start to a holiday! I went through completing the process of the hire in your office and then navigated the upgrade insurance conversation with your representative. To my utter amazement and disgust I was told that the vehicle was not insured! The young woman stated that the arrangement made with the hire of the car was a "product", it was not "insurance", and that in order to be insured I would have to buy the cover! This is grossly misleading and unacceptable. It is lying to customers and I will NEVER, hire from you again. Although I was aware that I was well covered, in the back of my mind was the unprofessional misleading approach of your member of staff who was witnessed saying this by all other members of the team in your office without correction and so I lost trust in the integrity of your company and worried the whole week about returning the car and what other tactics GOLDCAR may come up with on its return in order to get money out of me.
