" Pick up was very efficient but it wasn't totally clear that there was no Thrifty desk at Bergen airport and you had to go to the Hertz desk. Otherwise, pick-up was much faster than I've experienced previously although there was no introduction to EV charging in Norway and I was left to discover the correct apps and charge locations myself. Drop off equally easy. I did have an issue with the car boot leaking quite significantly for which the customer service representative was very apologetic but no compensation was offered "

" I had done the early check in but had to wait for about 15 minutes to get the key. There was only one staff member and spent a long time with the customer. I was third in the que. I could get the key quite fast once she attended to me. She told me to take photos of the existing damages to the car. It was raining and was very difficult to see all the existing damages. I could take the photos of the obvious ones. Later on, I found that a mail was sent after the check in showing the existing damages which I could see only after the trip was completed. It would have been good to send me the existing damages earlier or she should have had a printout which I could verify and add any other damages observed. Anyway, since it was raining, it was difficult to observe all the damages thru the naked eye. I had the unfortunate incident of the wheels touching the kerb or something on the road while going to drop the car back. The location of hertz office was very bad, and the approach was thru the road getting repaired. It was dark and I think I touched the kerb or something which might have caused minor damages to the rims of the 2 wheels on the passenger sides front and back. In addition, they are also reporting of a dent on the driver side which I am not able to understand. It could be either an existing damage or some other car's door might have hit my car which I doubt very much. When I spoke to them, they mentioned that the excess will be charged separately for each of the damages. I am not sure if this is right. Once I get the details from Hertz, I will make the claim thru Auto Europe as I have taken a full protection. So the overall experience was not very good. "

" I have been advised that there is damage to the car however I spoke to your representative whilst he was taking pictures of the car and he told me there were no issues whatsoever with the car and no additional damage. Had he said that there was I would have looked at the area in question but as he told me he was happy with the inspection there was no reason for me to check this. You cannot advise customers of one thing and then email out of the blue with something else. I was an hour only for check in so was not in a rush. I can categorically advise that I did not damage the car in any way at all. It is interesting to note that that the email with the confirmed marks on the car when I collected does conveniently not show this part of the car which begs me to question that this was there in advance. I would also like to complain about a couple of things relating to this rental. 1. On arrival at the collection I asked whether the team could check whether there were any road closures on the journey between Bergen and Geilo – I was advised that there were not – your member of staff apparently checking online. You can imagine my surprise therefore when I reached the snow gates past Eidfjord on the 7 and the road was closed. I was with a child in the middle of nowhere and couldn't reach my destination in the dark and stormy weather – this is NOT good customer service, cost me a lot of time and money (additional nights accommodation) and could have been so dangerous. 2. Secondly on departing Bergen I noticed a tyre pressure light – despite it already getting dark and with a long journey ahead I stopped and checked all the tyres. They were fine. This light remained on the whole hire – and I checked twice more before travelling back. When I got back to Bergen the same colleague who advised me that there were no issues with my car also said "of yes thats always on its when we put winter tyres on" again this is NOT acceptable level of customer service – 3 times I checked tyres and if only someone had advised that was a known fault light I wouldn't have needed to do that. "

" It took a long time at Bergen airport to get the car. Long line, not enough staff. The car was great, but had a number of scratches and some was not on the document which should have been prepared. The fuel tank was not full when I picked it up but the sheet did not say anything. I handed it back with a full tank but again, should have been better prepared by you guys.
