    Terminals

The airport consists of three terminals. T1 is the oldest and now used as a helicopter terminal. T3 is now the main terminal and was completed in 2017. With an area of 21,000 square-metres, it houses the Duty-free shop, several shops and restaurants, and caters for domestic flights. International flights depart from the older Terminal 2 (T2). Both terminals are interconnected and operate as one structure. On the first level of the terminal, you will find the Arrivals Hall as well as the baggage-claim area. You will also find access to several transportation options, including taxis, car rental, light rail and bus. The second level is the departures level with check-in desks for both domestic and international flight, along with security control and several food, drink and retail concessions. You will also find other services such as a nursery, police station, toilets, shops, ATMs, an information desk, meeting point and water refill facilities.

    Airport Facilities

Despite being exceptionally busy, the airport’s modern, mid-sized two-level terminal has a dozen or so shops, bars, cafes and restaurants. Wi-fi is generally available and power outlets are fairly easy to find. You will also find several services in the terminal such as baby-changing facilities, ATMs, water-refill stations, a meeting point, tax refund department, police station, children’s play area, information desk and a Duty-free shop.

How to get to and from Bergen Airport

Bergen can be reached by car via the Fv557 and Rv555 in about 20 minutes. Please be aware that tolls are payable on this route. Most toll stations in Norway are automated, ie you will not need to stop when passing the toll booth. Most car hire suppliers will provide a toll device with the vehicle and charge the tolls upon drop-off at a flat rate. Please make sure you check if the car is equipped with the toll device at the time of pick-up and ask about payment conditions. For more information about driving in Norway, please visit our Norway driving information guide.

If you have opted for a downtown pick-up instead of booking a car rental at Bergen Airport directly then there are several efficient and easy alternatives to get from Bergen Airport Flesland to Bergen city centre. The cheapest way is by Light Rail, a journey of about 45 minutes. The Light Rail stop can be found outside the terminal and tickets can be purchased using an App or ticket machines at either the baggage-claim area or directly at the Light Rail stop.

Connection via the Airport Express Bus is also available right outside the terminal building on the left-hand side. The journey to Bergen bus station takes about 20 minutes with departures every 10 minutes at the busiest times of the day.

    Parking Tips

At Bergen Airport there are three types of parking: drop-off, short-term and long- term. At the drop-off car park (P0) you can park free of charge for 7 minutes just to drop off passengers, but you must pay after that. There are two short-term car parks at Bergen Airport, P1 and P2 and P3 (which caters for electric cars) and several long-term car parks (P5 to P16). There is parking available for bikes and motorcycles as well, and long-term parking should be booked at least five hours in advance.

In the city of Bergen it can be hard to find street parking, nevertheless you will be able to find parking in several public garages around the city with over 3,000 spaces to park your car hire at Bergen Airport. Some of the most popular car parks are ByGarasjen, Kloster Garasjen, Nordnes Garasjen and Solheim Garasjen spread out around the city, so that you can always park close to your destination.
