Location: Krakow Airport is located in the village of Balice, approximately 6.8miles (11kms) west of Krakow city centre.

Krakow Airport has one passenger terminal which opened in 2014. The terminal is spread over two floors, with a third floor being dedicated as an observation deck.
On the ground floor you will find the check-in desks for departing passengers along with ATMs and a post office. The arrival lobby is also located on this floor together with baggage reclaim.
On the first floor, you are presented with security and passport control, a departure lounge, playground, duty-free shopping and departure gates. The car hire desks are also sited here. A selection of coffee houses, restaurants and shops are located across both floors, likewise for toilets, family rooms, help points and first aid points.
Eleven car rental agencies operate out of Krakow Airport. The car hire at Krakow Airport desks can be found within the passenger terminal on the 1st floor.
It is extremely important that you bring with you all the required documentation to be able to collect your car hire at Krakow Airport. If not, you may be unable to collect your car hire. Documents can vary on location, but always include a valid driving licence, your rental voucher and the credit card you made your booking with. Facilities are what you would expect from an international airport. Shopping, restaurants and cafes are available on both floors. ATMs, bureau de change, a bank, post office, toilets, family rooms, a chapel, telephones, car rental service desks, a business lounge and a VIP area can be found within the terminal.
Outside the terminal there are three car parks, a drop-off and pick-up zone, a hotel and a train station, all of which can be easily accessed via the foot bridge from the terminal, first floor.
Free access to Wi-Fi within the terminal is available for a period of 15 minutes.
Krakow airport is easy to get to by car and parking onsite is available. It has access to multiple regional roads and is within easy reach of the A4 motorway, which provides access to various parts of Poland.
You may reach the airport via the ul. Conrada via Rondo Ofiar Katynia, ul. Radziszewskiego or ul. Armii Krajowej, and then travel via krakow's ring road. You may also take the ul. Basztowa, from ul. Armii Krajowej or the Wola Justowska, along the ul. Królowej Jadwigi.
From Przegorzaly, travel via ul. ks. Józefa, then along Krakow's ring road or Kryspinów.
Taxis are available from the main passenger terminal. Fares are fixed and have a flat rate within zones up to 18.5miles (29,9kms). This is regardless of time of day, day or the week and journey time. For journeys over 18.5miles (29,9kms), you will need to agree to a fare with the driver before setting off. The taxi call centre is open daily from 06:00 until 22:00.
Two buses (Nº 208 & Nº252) operate out of Krakow airport during the daytime. One bus (Nº 902) operates during the night. Departure times are displayed onscreen in the main hall, near the information desk and tickets machines are located within the arrivals lobby, ground floor, or at the bus stop. As a last resort, you can also pay the bus driver, but please note that exact money is required. All tickets must be validated upon boarding the bus.
The train station is located near Krakow airport passenger terminal and is by far the best way to travel to the city centre - taking only 17 minutes. Trains themselves are air-conditioned with power outlets and Wi-Fi. Operating 7 days per week, they also provide facilities for persons with reduced mobility (PRM).
Tickets machines can be found at the airport main passenger terminal, ground floor. Within the train station itself or can be purchased directly from the on-board train conductor.
Short stay and long stay car parks are available for anyone travelling in by car. A drop off, pick-up zone, called "Kiss & Fly" is available directly in-front of the terminal. Drivers are not allowed to leave their vehicles unattended and have up to 10 minutes of free use. Thereafter, you will be charged for every 10 minutes.
For longer stays, a multi-storey car park (P1) is sited directly opposite of the main airport terminal. Long stay car parks (P2 & P3) are also available nearby. Ticket payments are via machines within the multi-storey (P1) car park.
