Airport Information

Larnaca Airport is located approximately 2.5 miles southwest of the port city of Larnaca, Cyprus. The airport is the island’s main international gateway, the larger of Cyprus’s two airports. The airport consists of one state-of-the-art terminal that welcomes in an estimated 8.2 million annual passengers. The airport is the second biggest on the island and was opened in 1974. It was modernised in 2009 to better accommodate the increase in passengers – especially during the summer months. The airport hosts an impressive amount of international links – both for passengers and cargo. Air routes include, regular and chartered flights to London, Moscow, Paris, Zurich, Cairo, Doha and many more.

Terminals

With a state-of-the-art terminal, Larnaca Airport was opened in 2009 and is able of handle around 7.5 million passengers per year. Ground level is dedicated for arrivals, and contains all the necessary infrastructure for dealing with passengers safely and securely. Upper level focuses on departures, and also contains all the necessary facilities for getting passengers onto their flights securely. The previous terminal is now dedicated to private flights, VIP and some cargo. There are a total of 16 air bridges and one large apron for airplanes.

Larnaca Airport has an assortment of bars, fast food eateries, cafes, restaurants, convenience stores, ATMs, shops, postal boxes, places to pick up last-minute souvenirs and a tourist information desk – all at close proximity and within walking distance. How to get to and from Larnaca Airport

The airport is located only 3 miles from Larnaca city cente, making choosing to rent car at Larnaca Airport a viable and worthwhile option. The central areas of cities should be avoided during rush hours, as parking is extremely difficult to come by. Parking is available however slightly out from the city centre.
