Transportation / How to get to the airport

    By car
The drive from Munich city centre to the airport via the E54 road takes about an hour and a half. Pay attention to speed limit signs along the way. Familiarise yourself with German road rules by visiting our driving information page here.

    By bus
There are daily bus services to Memmingen, Munich and other cities in the region. A bus stop is situated directly in front of the terminal building. You can catch a direct train to Munich from Memmingen railway station, which you can reach with a bus from the airport.

The taxi rank is situated next to the bus stop in front of the terminal.

    Parking tips

Car hire parking at the airport is called "Mietwagen". Follow the signs to car rental car park when you return your vehicle. In the city centre of Munich, there is a pay and display on-street parking system. The prices vary according to the proximity to the city centre. Tickets can be purchased from the parking meters. Make sure to obey the parking time you paid for, as even a few minutes' delay can get you a parking ticket. There are also many residential parking areas - pay close attention to the road signs.
