Location: The airport is located 68 miles to the west from Munich centre.
Airlines operating at the airport: The airport services low cost airlines and is the Bavarian airbase for Ryanair and Wizz Air who provide flights to the UK. Other connections include European holiday and metropolitan destinations.
The airport consists of one terminal building with ten check-in counters and seven boarding gates. Schengen passengers are directed to gates one to three on the ground floor. Passengers flying to non-Schengen destinations use gates numbers four to seven located on the upper floor.
Car hire desks are located within the passenger terminal. Travellers picking up their car hire at Memmingen Airport are required to present a valid driving licence, credit card in the name of the main driver for the security deposit, and a car rental voucher issued from Auto Europe. Memmingen airport offers free access to Wi-Fi without time restrictions throughout its passenger terminal. There are two restaurants, a coffee shop inside the terminal, and, famously for Bavaria, a beer garden outside the terminal. By car

There are daily bus services to Memmingen, Munich and other cities in the region. A bus stop is situated directly in front of the terminal building. You can catch a direct train to Munich from Memmingen railway station, which you can reach with a bus from the airport.

Car hire parking at the airport is called "Mietwagen". Follow the signs to car rental car park when you return your vehicle. In the city centre of Munich, there is a pay and display on-street parking system. The prices vary according to the proximity to the city centre. Tickets can be purchased from the parking meters. Make sure to obey the parking time you paid for, as even a few minutes' delay can get you a parking ticket. There are also many residential parking areas - pay close attention to the road signs.
