" Booking with Autoeurope was easy. Although i haven't used Budget before we were very impressed with the service we received. The only negative I would say was that the car had a glass sunroof and only a perforated blind to pull across. If it wasn't for my partner having some black-out material we would probably have suffered with the sun even though we had aircon on. " First problem, we queued for 2 hours to pick the car up. The Lady on the desk was very good, but she needed some colleagues to spread the load! Second problem, after drop off we were emailed photos showing damage. The exterior scrape shown was there when we picked it up, on the video I took at the time, and annotated on the rental agreement. There was also a picture, which could have been from any car. It was supposedly damage to the leather on the front centre seat. There was no front centre seat! Third problem, I can find no invoice for the hire under my rental agreement number. "

I was surprised to find out at the Granada branch itself that the price of a booster seat was the same as the price of car-seat for a baby (not seen that in any other companies I routinely use). Which made the car hire price greatly deceitful. I was also disappointed that the car was provided with a 3/4 full tank. I contacted central office in Spain ( I spoke to Elena Lence) to inform them of my finding, and they asked me to send a picture to the Granada branch so that I would not be expected to return a full tank. I did as I was told and asked for acknowledgment of my email. I did not receive anything back. Overall the whole experience has been deceitful and disappointing and unfortunately, I will not be recommending you or using you in the future. "

So we took the car despite its unsuitability. I then spent the week driving a car which felt too big on the outside and too small on the inside. We worried about getting the slightest mark on it and spent more on fuel during the week than we had expected to. A so called upgrade is not necessarily the "treat" you might imagine it to be. "

I find this practise invasive and have begun to dread this element of the transaction. The vehicle itself was a little scruffy, but perfectly serviceable. " I had an excellent car and the service when collecting the car was very good indeed. However, it took far too long to return the car, with only one person handling the paperwork and having to deal with several customers, I had to wait some time to formally return the car and I also had to wait for the van to arrive to take me to the airport. In the end, I had to interrupt the staff member serving the couple who were collecting their car to say I was worried about catching my flight. "
