" All went well with my booking and would definitely book again HOWEVER Europcar are still holding 1242.90 on my card which I think should have been removed at this date as other car hire companies have acted quicker and I will now be monitoring as its important to me that this is removed asap. If this is done I will certainly use again as I travel that route frequently and the girls on the desk were courteous and extremely patient even though getting abuse from another customer "

" If a customer has their own annual excess policy, there should be no need to attempt to sell "scare mongering" policies - I was told my policy might not include a tow-truck!! If a customer tells you they will return car fully fuelled - DO NOT DEBIT - as with the "excess insurance" an amount can be reserved without charging the customer. "
" The reason I am not satisfied on this occasion is that I have used Budget car rental with Kerry airport many times recently without the need to create a charge/refund for any "additional extras" on the car hire fee. On this particular occasion my credit card was requested twice (one for fuel and one for "reservation"). I had already agreed to return the car with full fuel and on my last few visits there has been no need to "charge". If you are going to change your mind and re-introduce a charge/refund system, why can you not debit/credit in the currency of the card. I really do not see why the refund to my credit card is less than the original transaction. "

" Budget would not allow us to take out the car because there was not enough credit on my card. I was £18 short. I was not able to increase my credit limit. They would not allow my partners card to be used as security. They would not allow me to pay part cash for £20 then take the rest from my credit card. We were forced to take out additional car hire insurance which was over £120. We already had insurance from autoeurope. In the end I feel like the desk weren't helpful and that they could have done more to find a way round this issue. "

" The excess of 2000 euros put a dampener on the short break really. I didn't have the cash to opt for the 20 euros a day to cover the excess so I didn't use the car as much as I would have liked. I think if you purchase a CDW or LDW that should cover all. "
" There was no handbook. I suppose as an experienced driver I am supposed to know all about the lights and stuff like that. Schoolboy error, I left the lights on! Keyless entry, I can't get into the car to open the bonnet. The guy I phoned tried to explain how to get the key out of the fob. I couldn't understand. He tells me that I will have to pay for the roadside assistance if I've left the lights on. Calls back to tell me there is no one local to assist and they are going to deliver another car to me. Again, I will have to pay for that if the dead battery was my fault! All I see is money trickling through my fingers. I look online, find how to get the key out of the fob and get someone with a set of jump leads to help me start the engine. I phoned the assistance line and told him to stop the truck with the replacement car. All could have been avoided if all the details were explained at pickup and there was a handbook to check light switch positions. "

" Hard sell at counter when collecting. Very unwelcoming and felt like we were under pressure to buy excess cover which we had already purchased through auto Europe. The man kept pushing the point and trying to scare us in to purchasing more cover including breakdown cover. Stickers on interior of car saying would have to pay if car was dirty. Lots of scratches to bodywork. Asked that they be recorded on paperwork and took photos to ensure we wouldn't be liable. Breaks very slow to respond. "

Desposit was for fuel instead of car and none of this was explained and is different to any time I have hired a car before. Required amount was higher than previously informed and we were asked to purchase extra insurance because of this despite it not being our fault that the amount was higher. We were also not offered to be shown any of the controls in the car and were given no manual for the car. "

" As usual with Autoeurope (my friend and I have been hiring cars through them in Kerry for a decade now) the whole process of booking, paying and collecting car was seamless. Actually no matter which firm in Kerry we have used, all have been excellent and booking via Autoeurope is very reassuring. "
" This is the first time in 8 years that I have used Thrifty through Autoeurope (usually Budget) and I was very pleasantly surprised with how good the whole experience was. Very pleasant and professional staff greeted me. The car was competitively priced and a good small runaround and it was good to see the previous damage logged on photos which I had access to. Good explanation at start and good transfer at end. I particularly liked the fact that the booth was open and someone came out and inspected the vehicle on return (not always open on winter evenings). To be fair it is summer and in Feb/Mar very difficult to view car at 6pm in the dark. The pre authorised sum was removed from my card very quickly. All in all a very good experience indeed. "
