With the right vehicle and proper equipment, driving in the mountainous region of Courchevel should not present any problems. However, especially if you are not used to driving in snow, there are a few things that are good to keep in mind. If you encounter lots of snow on the road, try to slow down progressively instead of braking suddenly, as the latter may result in your car skidding. When you drive on an incline with snow, try to keep up your momentum, even if this means that you have to drive a bit more slowly - just keep moving.
Most petrol stations in the area do accept credit cards, but you should note that they may not be open 24 hours. You should usually give way to traffic approaching from the right, but priority belongs to traffic on a roundabout when signs indicate this by saying "Cedez le passage" or "Vous n'avez pas la priorité". Do not honk your car's horn in built up areas, as this is not allowed except in cases of immediate danger. You should also make sure that you keep your car's tank filled with petrol when driving in the mountains. This is because roads may be closed as a result of snow, which in turn may lead to you having to take a detour to reach your destination.
The easiest way to park your luxury car hire in Courchevel is to make use of one of the many car parks. There are 11 in total dotted around the area. Courchevel Parc Auto is the authority managing the resort's car parks. You can book your parking space in the car parks for as long as you need it during the ski season, which will give you 24-hour access to the car park. The facilities boast high level security arrangements so that you can leave your luxury car rental parked without having to worry. Parking on the street is regulated closely by traffic wardens, and outdoor parking spaces are scarce.
So that you can make the most of your booking with us, one-way bookings either within France or to an international destination, like Austria, have been made possible. However, you must make a special request for this service when making the booking, and this will have to be confirmed with the supplier separately. An additional fee applies in most cases.
