" Autoeurope booking experience is very easy, all I would say to anyone is don't use Dollar or any of its affiliates as they are only out to scam you at the pickup by adding additional charges. Use Alamo/National/Enterprise instead never had a problem with them before. "

" Miami Airport no dedicated access point, shared with Avis. With only 3 in front of me it took an hour to get to the desk representative. No apology for the wait, customer service skills not apparent. I was told I didn't have the right insurance and need to buy additional insurance, although I thought I had bought from you a full insured car. Insisting no insurance no car. Then as no cars available on her screen so we were sent downstairs to garage. One person available with no cars and complaining he had been alone all day and had no stock. Two in front of me in the queue suddenly turned to 10 with 7 behind me, all wanting a car and no cars available. An altercation then occurred and the agent barricaded himself into the office awaiting intervention from a superior. Approx an hour later a SUV was found for us and we could move off. You will note though from the condition above this was not their most prestigious vehicle, but we didn't want to wait any longer having flown for 9 1/2 hours before. I have to say I am a frequent user of you platform and think it's great Thrifty on this occasion did not represent you well. This is the worst experience I have ever had when renting a car "

" After an unauthorized charge to my credit car by the car rental company I raised the issue with Autoeurope but as yet no response. Car was retuned as per the T&C , no damage or excesses. pre-paid rental yet I was charged again by the rental company. Not great service at all. I have rented frequently through Autoeurope but will now reconsider for the future. "

" There was no one at the Thrifty counter when we got there so we had to go to another rental company counter. The guy there was shockingly unhelpful. He didn't even once look at us. He asked for the documentation etc, only staring at his screen. We had to ask for the extras. We had to ask where the car was. He didn't even tell us which car we were getting. Just gave us the keys, the papers and he was already leaving when I got him just outside the counter to ask him for the direction of the car park... A truly appalling service. "

I complained and queued again and it was changed - however to an Intermediate class smaller but newer car... We accepted it and drove to the hotel. T( following day I went back again and complained at the Fort Lauderdale depot and that was a totally different level of customer care - they switched the car to a new standard size one immediately and it was great.... There were no instructions from staff on the car I.e how anything works, fuel quality required etc. the right hand rear window was faulty (every time you put the roof up you had to pull it shut) also the car had obviously recently had the front and rear bumper removed and refitted as they weren't clipped in correctly and all four dirt shields have no clips in them holding them to the bumper. I currently work in automotive vehicle repair and thought this was poor for the sake of some cheap clips. The car could do with a wheel alignment as it wonders all over the road. From a distance the car looked very nice, it was reliable and was lovely to have a convertible for our trip. "

" I would not recommend Dollar at Miami airport based on my experience of the drop-off. We returned the vehicle and it was given a cursory look by the agent, who then scribbled a couple of words on the agreement and said everything was fine and we were free to go. It was only when we reached security in the airport that I found the car keys in my pocket. It immediately occurred to me that this was a potential scam - how can it be possible to return a vehicle without the fuel being checked? Fortunately we had time to return to Dollar, and regrettably I had two serious arguments with staff at both the rental counter and the drop-off location. Fortunately I had the foresight to record these in case Dollar tries to fraudulently charge my credit card for "lost key", fuel or damage. I also recorded the condition of the vehicle on return and the fuel level. Please would you take this issue up with Dollar and advise me of their feedback. "

" Arrived an hour early and was asked to pay an extra day or wait one hour until my time of pick up. Counter staff were all very arrogant and rude. Tha car needed an oil service so had to replace it half way through ( cost £30 in phone calls). Final invoice shows an extra charge of £130 dollars even though everything was prepaid. The garage manager and staff were really good and sorted out an issue with the provided car straight away. "

" On picking up the car from Miami ,I asked about the toll roads and how we paid them . They explained that there was a pass you could purchase for $9.99 per day. I told them that I certainly didn't want to pay that amount as I probably would only use toll roads on a couple of days .They assured me that I would only be charged the fee on any day that I used a toll road,I double checked with them that I wouldn't be charged this fee for every single day and again they promised me it would only be activated on any day that I actually used a toll road. They also asked me if I wanted to pay for a full tank of fuel and return car empty which I agreed to do. On returning the car I was told to just leave the keys in the ignition and go .Nobody would check the car over with me and nobody confirmed what was outstanding for the fuel or tolls etc. On checking my bank statement the next day I found I had been charged £182.90 plus a further £45.27 toll charges. I sent an email immediately querying this and have received no response from dollar whatsoever. I was only expecting to pay for the tank of fuel and a couple of tolls , especially as the first week we were there all tolls were suspended by the governor due to the hurricanes. "

" I rented the car in London for pickup in Miami. Thrifty would not honor the price paid to AutoEurope saying that the price was only an overseas promotion and my US driver's license did not qualify. I was denied a refund and forced to rent a car elsewhere. My home address in Florida was listed on the contract. Either the denial of US residents was not disclosed or in tiny print in the details. The rental should have been denied before payment based on my home address. I am not at all happy with AutoEurope, and would like a review of my requested refund. Thanks. "

" It was all 9+ before I received the receipt by Email where I had been charged an additional $270. I called the UK number today (8/1/24) and was informed the majority of it was for a 'roadside assistance' package I had never had discussed with me never mind accepted. I have asked that this figure be put in to dispute. After a ten hour flight (1 hour on board delay ) and a two hour wait in US arrival hall clearing immigration I felt the time spent at the Budget reception desk on Level 2 was remarkably quick. Nothing was shown to me nor was there any discussion over and above the request for licences etc. When we descended to the 'garage' we were shown two cars by an operative who had little or no English and I chose the Honda. Again no discussion or explanation as to what was to happen next. "

" Very disappointed with Alamo at Miami airport. Got to the rental desk to be told that there were no cars available. Not what you want to hear after a ten hour transatlantic flight with a 18 month old child! Having complained to the depot manager a car was found after about an hour of waiting. The vehicle provided was not of the same class booked and was a lot smaller than required so, a partial refund will be appropriate please. "

" The car had 2 under inflated tyres on collection, the windscreen wipers were broken and just smeared water all over the windscreen making it impossible to see through at night and very dangerous. I filled up with petrol before dropping the car off and they still charged me for fuel: The final bill was not itemized so I have no idea what my additional bill of $188 was. A real joke. "

" AutoEuropa we're reasonably helpful in complaining to Budget but really the headline prices are a scam and the provider basically adds whatever they want and try to scare you on collection "

The guy at the collection in Miami scammed us by adding the Fuel Service but we wanted 'full to full' he was on the phone the whole time to his friend and just ignored us. Collection was ok but the agent showed an iPad screen and said "this is your returned balance to pay" which showed zero but was actually $217....!!!! "

" Loaded on unnecessary optional extras on pick with no discussion or alternatives- basically just trying to load you with either unnecessary or the most expensive alternatives at pick desk. I was prepared for the hard sell but this was worse- we didn't even know we had been signed up for this until the post rental bill came in!!! After contesting these spurious charges we were refunded most of them but we were still out of pocket by $ 60 + transatlantic call charges to sort out. All in all a disappointing customer experience with Budget. "

" Pick up at Miami port a disaster. No coaches, fighting to get on one shuttle that eventually turned up. We had to get a cab. That cost. When eventually got to Budget office downtown they were queuing out the door. No cars - 2 1/2 hour wait with luggage on the street in the baking sun. Absolute shambles. No GPS or maps available. Actual car when we eventually found it in a car park directions were "cross the road and its on the right somewhere". The actual car was as booked and drove well - no problem. Dropping off at Miami Airport fine until the guy checked the milage and found out that the mileage on the paperwork was more than on the car!! So more delays as we had to go and sort it out - not Budget!! All in all a terrible experience. Will never use Budget again. "

It made driving the car on the freeway very unpleasant and impossible to use satnav on my phone because of the vibration. I didn't know about the problem until we were a few miles away from the airport. I told the staff about the problem when we dropped the car off. "

So in order to drop it off at the same time put a charge if an extra day for me to pay with no communication around what he had done and told me it was ok to return it at the same time. " Upon arrival at the queue to the counter we were told there would be a 2 hour wait for a car We proceeded, the counter man was quick, we told him we wanted to refuel the car for drop off but he put the charge on the contract. We mentioned this to the pick-up & he explained that we could bring it back full and it would be taken off. On exit another member of staff said it couldn't be changed and we had to return it empty. It was like a lottery in the garage with staff holding the contracts and shouting out names in order of arrival as cars came in. We only received our car at 2pm "

We prebooked a free shuttle from port of Miami to the airport for car collection but the shuttle never appeared resulting in us getting a taxi. Trying to arrange the shuttle was also not straightforward has a spoke to a number of Alamo agents who were unsure how to arrange the shuttle. Please could you look at including roadside cover in Florida with rentals for peace of mind, I can never understand why it would not be part of the agreement with Alamo has it is their car. Overall we like the service provided by Auto Europe and Alamo. "

Check in staff offered the purchase of an electronic toll pass but failed to inform that toll booths had been removed from toll roads. Toll pass was declined with the intention of paying cash as and when required. This exposed the customer to potential fines for non payment of tolls, however, return staff were able to retrospectively add the toll pass thereby obviating any fine potential. "

" I feel completely ripped off. Not only did I have to pay a ridiculous amount for car rental but I also am down the money paid for the Budget rental. "

The Budget staff would not drop the payment from $250.00 and as a result I was unable to complete the rental even though it was fully paid for. I had to go next door to SIXT and rent a car for $1,400. They were able to take deposit from a debit card. I will never use either Auto Europe of Budget again. "

" In general terms I was very happy with Alamo. The service, the staff etc at Miami airport were very helpful, efficient and friendly. The one issue was with the car. We hired a Mustang convertible and chose the one we liked on collection (a feature that is really good by the way). We then set off on a <100mile journey with the roof down. After a while we wanted to put the roof up and found it didn't work, so we had to finish the journey getting over-exposed to the sun. Not ideal especially as it was the end of the afternoon on a Sunday. To our surprise, on arrival in Key West we contacted Alamo and got a like for like replacement sorted in a couple of hours. The staff in Key West (I think in the National outlet) were also very responsive and helpful. Car issues happen from time to time, so it's just one of those things - frustrating but it allowed the team to show how good they are. "

We did try to book by telephone, but the operator was a little lacking in knowledge and facts - and was basically simply repeating what he could see on his computer screen - probably somewhere in India! I really don't understand why companiies continue to outsource customer service to places with little knowledge of the Actual 'products'. The costs savings can't be worth thefrustration to customers and the inevitable damage to cusomer relations "

The car was well prepared, although yet again we found the rear windows on the Mustang refused to close fully with the roof up. This is a problem which has been an issue with this model Mustang for many years. Sadly also, the rental Mustang is still poorly equipped - not even a Sat-Nav!! "

In 23 yrs of travelling to Florida this was the best vehicle we have ever had. Our initial choice was unavailable so we we offered the next size SUV. The vehicle was brand new with only 55 miles on the clock. Alamo is th3 best and we will not be using other companies in the future. "

After a 10 hour flight AVIS staff recognize you're not at your sharpest and pile on the costs without you noticing! Very disappointed with such a large company! Never again! "

" The car was not in good condition, the seats were dirty and marked. The car had over 36,000 miles on the clock and was underpowered. On taking the car back the journey (normally 4 hours) was 6 hours and thus we were running late. The traffic around the airport was stationary and I just couldn't get to the gas station without risking missing my flight. The staff were unsympathetic although they clearly knew of the traffic issues but still charged me $64 dollars for fuel at $9.99 per gallon. I had been filling the car to full for less than $25. Scandalous and not very sympathetic to the situation. I have been hiring vehicles in the USA for 40 years and have never taken one back not fuelled. After paying over £1,000 for just 2 weeks hire this was the last straw. It is unlikely I will use Thrifty or their partner Dollar, again. "

" Positive: Car was comfortable, reliable and clean. It was ready on pick-up and drop-off was very quick. Negative: There were lots and lots of scratches on the car. I asked staff about them, they said take a video. There was no comment on the documentation provided. I took a video, there was no comeback, but it did delay my start and I was concerned that some scratches might be claimed as 'new' on return. I was introduced to 'toll charges' at the desk, told they were everywhere and advised to buy a 'toll pass' for $110. After travelling for 12 hours, I was too tired to argue and took them at their word. Actually, I ended up going through maybe 5 or 6 tolls, so I think paying them separately would have been cheaper, assuming that Dollar didn't slap an exorbitant 'administration charge' on top. I felt there should have been information about this in the booking, advising of toll charges, cost of a pass, and any related admin charge if not taking the pass option. If they offer it to you at the desk, they clearly could offer it to you at booking or within a few days of booking, so it could be researched before accepting. "

The rest of the companies were about empty, or at least people get in and out to get the cars very much faster. Apparently they ran out of cars and on top of that, what bothers me most is usual aggressive push towards selling you insurances and tolls and so on. This did not happen to me because I had all insurances already included, but I did not like how they push. This has been the way for almost ever, however, I did not notice that kind of aggressive selling attitude from Alamo last times I rented a car. So I will keep that in mind about Budget. The car I received was mini SUV which was of greater category of what I had hired because they did not have any intermediate car available and it had long mileage, but I had absolutely no problem with it. "

Was then told I was able to exchange at Miami airport location - OK, not a massive detour. Get to Miami Airport and am told they do not have anything and stand around like a lemon while they blame the Miami Beach office and make very little attempt to help us. Eventually a Camaro turned up out of nowhere but it was a very stressful experience and put a dampener on the day. Overall, dreadful service. "

They tried to sell me additional insurance and refused to recognise the additional payment made to cover any excess. On filling the car with petrol I found there was no filler cap, so had to buy one at a cost of $20. The queue to collect the car was 11/2 hours long. Sadly I found the experience unpleasant and the company untrustworthy. "

" Awful - I had checked everything in online including ydriving licence and Alamo refused to accept my licence even though it was valid - I also had my passport with me. No explanation except that the "boss wouldn't accept the licence" - it was an old style UK licence, still valid but no photo. Nothing in the T&Cs to say this would be a problem. My son had a UK photo style licnece but they refused to accept that because that would be changing apparently and there was now no vehicle available. I would have to ring up to cancel the booking (even I was talking to an Alamo employee at the desk) and rebook and that wouldn't be ready till the next day. Our holiday venue was 150 miles away. So no car - incredibly abrupt, incredibly unhelpful. Do not use this company. Still waiting to a refund, explanation, apology and compensation even though I made a complaint over a week ago "

" I'm a returning customer to Alamo and I had great experience with this company during my trip in Oct 2018 (I participated Hydroflight World Cup as paramedic and sports medicine volunteer). However, this time my choice of the company got in in trouble. First of all, GPS wasn't included to the price (even I've chosen option with GPS during booking, but I've booked through Auto Europe and should address this complaint to them). At the desk in MIA I was offered to change class of the car and spend about USD 150 more. No alternative with cheaper GPS option was proposed. Also, when I returned the car I was charged on my corporate credit card by mistake. I checked with Alamo employee in advance if it was possible to use my private debit card for any changes and got positive response. I have permission from my employer to use corporate credit card for car rentals including off work car rentals, but with strict condition that no charges go to this card. Therefore I had very serious issues at work and can loose permission to use corporate card for rentals which would stop me in rentals completely. This is very unfortunate situation and I'm sure that for World cup 2020 I should choose another rental company. However, I should admit that cars which I rented from Alamo are in perfect condition, front desk and return service is fast and everything is organized perfectly, except that two unfortunate issues. That's a pity for me that I have to choose another company, but I'm even not sure that I would be able to rent any car in any country anymore if permission will be withdrawn by my employer. "

" We booked this car and Aloma as supplier because of their reputation and that there was an offer of a free additional driver. I conformed this before booking and all paperwork showed we had the additional driver for free. However when we arrived at the desk at Miami airport the cou trr staff refused to accept that we had a free additional driver and insisted on charging us circa €150. We insisted we had sorted this and showed the paperwork their response was "that's your problem to take up with Auto Europe as that is who your contract is with not us". After some course comments and our refusal to pay or budge from the desk until it was resolved, the 'senior manager' agreed to resolve it between Alamo and Auto Europe. This was a pity as everything else about the booking process and the car etc was brilliant "

" After we picked the car up, a Chevrolet Camara convertible, on the first day of rain, the back end went completely and we had to drive at 35 miles an hour on the highway just to stay in control. even in dry conditions the car was unstable which resulted in a tyre blow out on the way back from Key West. Hertz customer service was excellent and we did receive a replacement car which exemplified the problems with the first car as it drove so easily. We complained when we returned the car and were given a £100 reduction on our bill but on reflection, my daughter and I could have had a serious accident. "

Having checked on luggage I telephoned Auto Europe customer service and was advised that it was prudent to change to an S U V , in this case a Rav 4, which I duly did. On arriving in Miami at the Alamo desk, I was advised that the Rav 4 was nowhere near large enough for the 4 suitcases.Had to then upgrade to a larger vehicle at the rate on the day, amounting to a further $411.00 dollars, considerably more than it would have been at the time of the original booking.This situation could have been avoided with the correct advice from your Customer Services dept. Most dissappointing!!!!!!! "

" On the first SUV we had, I thought, I had a puncture on one of the rear tyres as it was losing air. I was happy to take it to Walmart as they would mend a puncture for $10 which I was happy to pay. However, it transpired that the tyre had been plugged and Walmart would not touch it and I had to take it back to Alamo at Orlando Airport. I changed it for a Ford Edge SUV which had mechanical problems and I returned it to Alamo after driving it for 10 miles.. The final SUV was excellent a Toyota Pathfinder. "

Waited in queue for 45 mins ( only 2 desk clerks working and doing up selling of extras. When it was my turn agent asked if I was happy to proceed with basic insurance! I did not have basic insurance, the only insurance I did not have or want was the extra liability. He said I needed to purchase the tolls package which was $75 plus any tolls used. I said I was not prepared to pay this and he said I would struggle to travel around Miami without it and changed his friendly persona. I was booked to drive a Kia Forte intermediate car but he insisted I was getting a Kia Soul which is basically a square box on wheels! probably his way of getting at me for not agreeing to pay for the tolls package. I managed to get around Miami no problem after downloading the Paytollo app on my phone for $20. It is back to Avis for me. "

" Absolutely dreadful. We arrived at the Advantage desk as instructed to be told there were no cars! We would have to wait until one came back. We had a 3 hour drive on top of our journey over there. We were told to wait. We asked if there was anything else available and told there was a convertible which ended up being a Rav 4 which had plenty of marks on paintwork. We had to pay an extra $100+ dollars to hire it including a small reduction on the extra $15 dollar a day charge. "

Counter staff were lovely but did try tempting me with sports cars and other alternatives when I wanted and had booked an SUV. I've also discovered an additional check out fee of nearly £200 and I've no idea what for as budget haven't sent me an additional invoice, which makes this a very expensive rental, that had broken down on the way back to the airport and left us waiting for budget's call out guys for several hours, causing us to arrive late at the airport and have to run through the terminal on arrival to catch the plane, which had already boarded. "

" After a long flight I handed my voucher over at the desk. The desk operator informed me I had booked a very basic car and recommend me to upgrade. I paid out an additional $160.00 to upgrade the car to a fully loaded Cheverolet Camero SS 2019 model with just 3000 miles on the clock. I also paid out to put my 22yr old son on the insurance. The car was fantastic. I was glad I made the choice. I have no idea of the total sum paid? I will have to wait for the credit card bill! "

On this occasion we went through the normal check in procedures but when we went to collect our vehicle my wife liked the look of convertible so, as it was her 65th birthday, I agreed to go back to the front desk to inquire about a possible upgrade. My only concern is with the high cost (+$60) for the SunPass Tolls option which seemed overly expensive and accompanied by a bit of a hard sell with menaces of fines and admin charges if not taken. This showed Thrifty in an exploitative mode rather than customer friendly as toll charges could easily be passed directly to customers' bills with no extra fees necessary or a reasonable flat admin charge of say $10- $15/ All their cars are license plate registered for tolls already. . This is the reason for my slightly reduced scores. "

" There were two distinct problems with the agency that Europcar uses at Miami Airport, Advantage Rent a Car. Book in. After the normal high-pressure selling of options, that I did not need, you are required to go through the disclaimers using a minuscule terminal at the desk. This has a very small screen with even smaller font size, meaning it is impossible to know what you are actually signing away, additionally you have to scroll through each section which was not working correctly so the agent had to scroll it through for you. He was also less-than-helpful, at best, during this process. I had absolutely no idea what I was signing away! The customers in front of me had exactly the same problems. Driving. Whilst I had the car I checked if it had a spare wheel. The handbook said the model was supplied with either a space-saver spare wheel, or a repair kit with compressor. This car had neither, making our travel quite stressful as we spent a lot of time on freeways. When I returned the car and discussed this with the Advantage agent she said they take all the gear out of all their cars, adding that if you have any tyre problem you have to call them out, with possible exorbitant call out fees! For these two reasons I have to downgrade the Europcar rating. I have not had similar problems with other Rental companies through Europcar bookings in the past. I suggest Europcar re-assess the suitability of Advantage as one of their agency organisations. "

No instructions on how to leave pick up area other than to follow signs to I95 (we were on our way to the Orlando area) which involved using the toll road for a couple of miles (likewise on return due to very poor signage on Miami roads). Must query if rental companies have arrangements with toll operators to levy toll only for rental cars exiting/entering the car rental areas otherwise most UK and overerseas renters are likely to be penalised. Altogether a very unsavoury experience and unlikely to use dollar again. "

This has taught me a lesson to always check what I'm signing for. I don't even know what RCN is!! Will be avoiding Budget in the future. The counter staff are clearly on a bonus which is fine but they should have advised me of the cost. "

" Purely by chance i discovered that the cost of the rental reduced between booking and commencement of the rental. I did re-book and Auto Europe did promptly refund the difference. So you really need to have your wits about with Auto Europe. "
" As we were 4 adults travelling with luggage I reserved a standard SUV which was depicted as a Hyundai Santa Fe on the Auto Europe webaute. On arrival at the Alamo counter I was shown a foto of a Hyundai Tucson and told this is a standard SUV which I knew was not big enough for our requirements. I was forced into the situation of an upgrade or cancelling without notice. The counter clerk told me the upgrade was to a brand new vehicle. The vehicle was 3 months old with 34000 mikes on the clock and wasn't well prepared. When I rent a vehicle I don't expect a new one. I do expect a vehicle of the size advertised that is legal/safe/reliable for the duration. Why I need to be told it's brand new when it isn't is just misleading! I was stitched up good and proper between Alamo and Auto Europe. Never had this trouble with US Rentacar. I will stick with them in future. "

" No Europcar in USA, their partner/agent is Advantage and when compared to National they fall down on many apsects. Having traveled through Miami several times using other rental companies Advantage hit you with a considerable number of add on extras such as the Extortionate cost of the Florida road toll rental plus a whole bunch of upselling that is mirrored only by Dollar. By your road toll pass from the first service area on the expressway and save hundreds. The vehicle had the front bumper/fender detached from a previous accident, there was no screenwash to clean the screen (common at Miami) and the tyre pressures of the vehicle were dangerously high and uneaven across all four wheels making driving in the wet horrible until I figured it out. Drop off takes ages as you have to be alert to find the badly signed Advantage desk. On return to finish the rental the same one person dealing with pick ups, deals with your return. Prey there is not a queue and factor extra time. "

" After a long flight the last thing you need is a guy telling you to upgrade your 7 seater Dodge caravan as it wont hold your amount of luggage.Upgrade for $500 more. I count myself lucky as my in-laws were with me and told the guy they had a Dodge caravan before and had plenty of room for luggage and passenger. It was unappreciated that Alamo let their staff make upgrade pressure on clients. When proceeding to the pick up area we were told pick any car you like with in the area . Any make any colour in the category we had paid with in the voucher .They were very efficient and help full . Another big plus of auto-europe compared to ECR is that you know the rental company upfront before the booking that saves the hassle of booking cancellation if the rental company offered by ECR is not the one you want to rent a car from. Nice work, auto-europe! "

This time in Miami I had an issue with the car I picked up (very strong smell of... body fluids on one of the seats), so I returned an hour later to swap the car - everyone was very helpful, offered me a free upgrade for this inconvenience and processed the whole swap in a matter of minutes. I don't really know what else to wish for - my experience with Alamo in 4 or 5 different locations over the last several years has always been from very good to excellent! "

" Easy to book but not always the cheapest so it pays to shop around. "
" VERY BAD Pressure selling even though i had pre-booked. After the hire they tried to charge me $18 for not filling up the tank although i had just filled up to the brim 3.6 miles away and had the receipt in hand. This is dishonest and wrong and could be considered stealing. "

" Queue to collect car was poor and took us over an hour to pick car up. Was then forced to prepay fuel which was 20c a gallon dearer than average.They then tried to scare us into taking 88$ of tolls which we declined. Car was filthy inside. Car then broke down 3 times before it was changed and ended us costing us over half a day of our holiday "

" My car hire was with Thrifty via yourselves. On arrival at their desk I did ask about what car I would be getting and was told I would be given a choice within the category I had paid for. 2 of us were doing quite an extensive tour around Florida and so I was keen to have a small fuel effeicient car. When we went to pick up our car I was offered an extremely large saloon that was totally inappropriate. I said no and asked about the small car that I had ordered. I was told that they did not have any and was then offered a Ford Escape being told it was a 4 cylinder vehicle with good fuel economy. It used petrol like it was going out of fashion so the good price for the car hire was wiped out by the cost of regularly filling the tank. "

" Very good service at pick up and efficient service at drop off. The car provided was ideal for my needs. The only problem was that information provided stated drop off was on floor 3 of the car building when in fact it was on floor 2 this did cause some inconvenience as I needed to leave the building and go around the block again. "
