    Airlines operating from the airport: As one of the main airports in the USA and a gateway to the Latin America, Miami Airport is an airbase for many international and domestic flight companies. It is a hub for American Airlines and American Eagle. Connections to the UK are serviced by British Airways and Virgin Atlantic Airways that fly to London Heathrow. Other transatlantic routes are operated, among others, by Aeroflot, Air Berlin, Air Europa, Air France, Alitalia, Finnair, Iberia, Lufthansa, Quatar Airlines, and TAP Portugal.


    MIA is divided into three main terminals, North, Central, and South Terminal with adjacent pier-shaped concourses. North Terminal spans a large Concourse D that houses a bus station and 45 gates. Concourses E, F, and G make up the Central Terminal, where you will find 52 gates, and four bus stations. South Terminal consists of the Concourses H and J with one bus station per each and total 28 gates.

    All car hire suppliers are located outside the airport, in MIA Rental Car Center. The airport's automated shuttle, the MIA Mover is a free service that provides transportation from the airport to the Rental Car Center and Miami Central Station.

    Airport Facilities

    Financial facilities like banks, currency exchange bureaus or ATM machines are scattered around terminals ensuring visitors have an easy access to it. Travellers in need for baggage storage can find one in Terminal E on the second level. Lost and Found is situated on the North Terminal D on level 4. Wi-Fi areas are located throughout terminals; there are some travel-related sites available for free, browsing other Internet sites, not designated by MIA, needs to be paid for. The airport also ensures comfortable travel for pets, there are Animal Relief Areas in Concourses D, E, and J at the arrival levels. Tourist information desks, called Tourist Information Counters, are located in the Terminals D, E, H, and J.

    Transportation / How to get to the airport

    The Airport Expy road will take you directly to the city centre, and further, continuing on the road 195, to Miami Beach. You can reach Tampa and Orlando in circa 4-hours drive from the airport.

    Bus and Rail

    Metrobus and Metrorail stations are both located in Miami Central Station, where you can arrive by a free MIA Mover from the airport. Buses and trains from Miami Central Station provide connections to the most important business, shopping, cultural and education centres as well as hospitals.


    Taxis called Taxicabs and SuperShuttle (vans) are stationed outside baggage claim areas on the airport's arrival levels.

    Parking Tips

    Public parking areas in Miami City are serviced by MPA, MiamiParking Authotiry. MPA manages on-street parking and public garages. When using on-street parking, please collect a ticket and place it behind the car's front window. Parking meters accept coins, Dollar bils (in some downtown locations) and credit cards: Visa and MasterCard. Pay by phone option is also available prior registration to the online application. Parking at public garages can be paid on the spot at pay stations.
