    Airport Information

Miami International Airport, also known by its IATA code as MIA airport, is the main airport in Florida. The first terminal was opened in 1959 and has grown to one of the most important airports in the world with more than 45 million passengers per year. Most of the flights to the Caribbean and Latin America start or transit here and Miami ranks first as cargo airport in the U.S. This huge airport has three terminals, each with several concourses and up to 131 gates in total. If you booked a car hire at the Miami Airport you just need to take the MIA Mover free shuttle service that leads directly to the Miami Intermodal Center, where you will find the MIA Rental Car Center, apart from connections to several other means of transport.

MIA Airport consists of three terminals, North, Central, and South. Each terminal has several pier-shaped concourses and is organised on three levels. On Level 1 you will find arrivals and baggage claim and on Level 2 check-in, ticketing and departures. The Central Terminal is made up by concourses E, F, and G; the South Terminal has 2 concourses named H and J; and the North Terminal has just one elongated concourse called D. To move along concourse D you can take the elevator to the Skytrain that has 4 stations alongside the terminal. Moving walkways on the 3rd level connect the terminals and from the Central terminal a walkway leads to the MIA Mover Station. The free MIA Mover shuttle leads passengers to the Miami Intermodal Center (MIC), where the car rental desks and the bus and train stations are located.
