Several emails to customer service were unanswered. I was told 3 different figures for one way fee and in the end was charged a ridiculous and exorbitant fee. It was charged to my Amex card without permission, which is outrageous. I think Sixt are a terrible rental firm who make no effort with their customers. I will never use them again "

Nowhere on my info did this state - please ensure this is clear for your clients. Lady at counter was very surly and felt I put her out by asking for her help. Then I was forced to sign a contract that the car (which I hadn't seen yet) had no damage. I had to ask twice what to do if I find damage on car once I had seen it. Luckily I did as car had damage including on the front windscreen!! Will possibly recommend because of lowest price I could find. "

" I was given the price of €163 euros when I booked. I booked a car with sat nav, full insurance and cross border x 2 included. When I got there I was told for sat nav it was €25 per day for cross border €16 per country and I showed them the documents I had from yourselves to be told the cover wasn't full and if I had an accident I would have to pay a €1000 excess. So i was told it would be €30 per day as we were under time constraints I took it but wasn't happy. I said I'd use my mobile for sat nav but was told I could get an upgrade to a bigger car automatic with built in sat nav which in declined. I went to pick up my allocated car to find it was a Renault Captur automatic with built in sat nav yet I was going to be charged extra. I was a complete rip off "

" Schipol car rental is a horrendous experience if you have difficulty walking. It is 800m from the terminal. Sending us to an unmanned desk in the concourse to find instructions to schlep miles to the actual location needs fixing. Two of the travolaters were unserviceable and I nearly had to return for a wheelchair for my wife. Once there, everything was fine. "

" We rented a car seat as an extra, no one offered to carry it over to the car for us or showed us how to install it in the car. If I had been on my own with my toddler it would have been impossible to do!! If you include car seats I feel you need to also help your customers install it in the car as part of the service. "

" Overall, an excellent service but there are one or two areas that could have been better. These were: 1) Initial payment process. The form asked if I planned to drive the vehicle in another country. I said yes as I planned to take the car to Belgium (from the Netherlands). I got a reply back saying Autocar would pass this on to the vendor. I never received confirmation that my request would be accepted and wouldn't incur additional charges. It became clear that it was possible to drive the car anywhere within the EU which may have been obvious to frequent car renters and to the vendor (hence they didn't feel obliged to reply) but it is better to at least reply to the customer. 2) The Drop-off was not what I expected. I returned the car at 18:30 on Monday evening. I assumed the Alamo/Enterprise desk would have been open and staffed but it wasn't. I have no problem dropping off the key but I prefer to hand the car back to a member of staff so that when I walk away I know I am not going to be subject to any later sneaky charges for having brought a vehicle back in a condition that the vendor wasn't happy with. In the event I brought the car back in perfect condition and no such charges were applied but it is always a concern that it might happen. Had I been made aware of the closure of the office I might have opted to take the car back at an earlier time. The third point is beyond the reach of Autocar but something to pass onto the supplier at Eindhoven airport: 3) The entrance to the lot at Eindhoven airport seems ridiculously narrow - a conspiracy theorist might think it was designed so as to encourage the driver to dent the car! Surely something can be done to improve the entrance? Its also easy to miss. "

The only issue I have is that counter staff seem not wanting to be there. There is no smile or kind word, just going through the motions. " We are not happy with the car we were given. we paid for a QASHQAI. SUV type car, on arrival, we were given a toyota that is not similar AT ALL to what we paid for. When we made a complaint, we were told that is all that is available. Seeing as we paid for 'Qashqai or similar' this was a huge disappointment. the staff were unapologetic. The type of car given to us was not good for our back as it was low. Hence why we hired a SUV type car. The instrucions on how to return your car was very easy to find. " On picking up the car we were told we had to pay extra for winter tyres as we would be driving in Germany. This came as a complete surprise to us as we had informed you that we would be going to Germany so would have expected to be informed of the extra charge when we booked. If we had been so informed we would have either booked with another company or changed our plans to avoid driving in Germany. " Got a gorgeous car, very new, for a fantastic price. Picking up the car was easy, when collecting the car the staff were very helpful. Dropping the car off at Eindhoven was tricky, there was only a sign for a Rental Cars car park, but no instructions about where to leave the car or what to do and I couldn't find anything on my documentation either. There was no one around in the car park to ask and no signage. There were no Enterprise parking spaces left either. Tried calling the helpline I was provided with but when given a list of options, the option for Eindhoven desk didn't work. Luckily I took the option for Schipol instead and spoke to a very helpful man who explained what we needed to do (park the car in any space and walk across to the rentals booth near the airport). After arriving at the booth the rest of the drop off was really easy and the staff member was very helpful when I had a query about the parking I used! "

" On arrival at the airport I had to que for an hour at the desk to be delt with. There was no apologies for the delay and proceeded with the paperwork. The guy was pleasant and efficient. We proceeded to the car collection point and collected the keys. As I like to check the car over, it was difficult as the car was very dirty and hard to define any marks. The paperwork said there were no imperfections on the car, but on very hard inspection, I found two scuffs. After pointing these out to a staff member and getting them signed off, I got into the vehicle to find old wrappers, dirt and grass on all the floors and grime marks on the doors. As I wasn't happy with the condition of the car, I asked the member of staff for another vehicle. He said there was nothing else available at the moment and that it would take 30 min to clean the car. As we were delayed enough, I photographed the condition before proceeding on our holiday. I would have expected the car to be clean for the next customer and disappointed as this was the start of our holiday. At the cost and returning the car with a full tank of fuel, which was not full on collection, I would expect some recompense for the inconvenience! "

Even when we changed the name driver, they wouldn't accept my mums card as she didn't know her pin even though they had the facility to take the long card number and security code to ensure the deposit could have been taken. Even though we had someone else in the party with that available on their credit card, we were still unable to take the car yet the hire funds have not and apparently will not be returned to us. " When collecting the car I was not informed of the blue badge that is in the car, we where shown everything else that we need to see. I parked the car in a free 30min parking area to pick up some fruit from a shop, on returning to the car I had been given a 95 euro fine. A shop keeper came out to ask me if everything was ok so I showed him the fine and he said did you put the blue badge in the window, I said what blue badge, so had a look and found the blue parking badge that we had mistaken for a Disabled parking badge the same as here in the UK. I think as you supply the badges in the car you should inform your customers what the blue badges are for as part of the hand over. The fine and administration fee that you will add on will be more than what the car cost to hire for the 4 days, so with that it really did spoil our short break to Holland that we had been looking forward to for 6 months. "

" The only issue is the signage at Amsterdam airport. It was easy to spot the directions for the car pick-up but the reception desks were not easy to spot. My experience at other airports is that they are usually the same! Consequently we walked to the car pick-up point and were told to backtrack to the reception desks. This added another 20 minutes to getting possession of the car! Very frustrating. Adding a note on the confirmation would be helpful. The rest of the experience was very good. "

At filling up the tank before returning the car, it turned out the meter did work correctly. As a search tool it was useful, but the experience of being mislead by Budget, i can't say i'm completely satisfied in the over all service or experience. "
" The flight me and my family took landed early, and we arrived at the Budget office just under an hour before the rental was due to start. I upgraded the car, paid for a child seat, and dropped the excess to £0, all at quite a cost. We were eager to get on with our holiday, and when i returned home i found i was charged for 4 days instead of the 3 booked. The car was returned on time (in fact over an hour early), but by turning up 50mins early I was charged for an extra day. At no point was this highlighted as i would have just waited, i had even inquired about additional costs should we for any reason get caught up in traffic coming back, and was told just to call and let them know. With all those extras paid for, this feels like a real kick in the teeth, and i believe i was mislead in order to make even more profit from me. I've made a complaint but the response was less than positive, and as such will not be using Budget again, and would advice anyone else to think twice about using a company that is happy to mislead its customers! Drop-off was a nightmare. I called the Alamo team on the phone for directions, they gave the wrong ones and I spent one hour driving the airport before finding an employee from another rental company that guided me to the right place. It was by far the worst drop-off experience I have ever had. Very unimpressed. "

" There was an unexpected charge when I arrived, they said either they would either have to place an 1100 Euro hold on my credit card, or I could pay 70 Euro and this would cover me in the event of any accident and no hold would need to be placed. I appreciate this is insurance that I would have got likely anyway, however this should have been mentioned during booking. Although, I am not convinced that Auto Europe would have been aware of this as it felt scammy, kind of like a bait and switch tactic to get more money out of me. I am not 100% sure they would absolutely have to place that hold. I used Sixt the week before I got an Audi Q2 (much more expensive vehicle than I had through Green Motion) and only had to pay a 300 Euro hold, and I also had the car for 2 more days. Overall it just seemed like a bit of a rip off place. I would use Auto Europe again for sure just not Green Motion. "

When I asked him a few logical questions (it was raining and dark out by the time I got there) such as the operation of the vehicle lights, indicators and windscreen wipers, he was disinterested and seemed annoyed!? I actually had to get out of the car and walk back to his booth again as he had not explained properly about the lights. . . . . All cars are different and in the UK I, obviously, drive a right-hand drive vehicle with controls mainly on the left of me......, etc.... After a short drive I realised I had forgotten to enquire about the window de-mister functions. . . . So I had to fumble around in the dark to get it working/improve visibility, whilst already driving on the motorway.... When I returned the car, the young man claimed to be the same one (I asked him), so I told him I had been unhappy on the pick-up and he apologised. He seemed to be in a better mood now. "
