I think car rental companies should clean cars thoroughly between rentals and not expect renters to do so (or incur extra charges). The basic car rental was cheap, and even if a cleaning fee would be very good value, but I'd have preferred an allowance for cost of cleaning to have been built into the basic rental price. No choice of vehicle, it seems - the one I got worked well, but I'd have preferred something slightly shorter. Car quite high-mileage - but everything worked perfectly well. "

" Absolutely not recommended – very unprofessional service in Katowice My experience with Flex To Go in Katowice was extremely disappointing. The man at the desk was aggressively trying to upsell extra insurance. When I refused, his attitude changed completely – he became rude and even started threatening that I might be charged for car washing if I return the vehicle dirty. I have never encountered anything like this in any other country. Moreover, my deposit was higher than expected because they added a fuel charge "just in case" I didn't return the car with a full tank. The car itself wasn't in great condition – it had visible wear, despite the desk agent assuring me that "no scratches exist." When I asked him to come with me to inspect the car and correct the check-out report, he refused, claiming he was alone and didn't have time. Extremely rude and unprofessional behavior. The car return process was more tolerable, but that was with different staff. In summary: I rent cars at least 4 times a year all across Europe, and I've never experienced such poor customer service. I absolutely do not recommend this company – at least not the Katowice branch. "

" I don't have a problem with Auto europe, we booked a car with you in April this year in Portugal, no problems at all with the name and the passport and the credit cards. I know you also remind people of what they need to have when they pick a car up, but it is difficult to have a credit card in your full name, if you have never been issued with one.. Also initials have always been acceptable to every car hire we have ever done. Never been refused a swipe of a credit card before. Maybe you could put on the booking that a full name on the credit card is not initials, if people do not have this, then they may have to look at getting a new card with their full name on, as it appear on your passport and drivers licence. You could also consider not using this Company for car hire. I feel it operates rather sharp practice, especially as the comment made was; 'you have got the car hire very cheap'.. Yes it was a good price, but didn't end up being very good. It cost far more than we would have ever paid and we did not get the car we had booked. "
" Feel completely ripped off by this company. Have hired vehicles in Poland, same airport several times before. No Problems. Would not use again and would not recommend. They are RIPPING PEOPLE OFF. Also the car we ended up with, which was an alleged upgrade, was not big enough for our purposes... We booked a Passat Estate, or similar. Large enough for 4 passengers and luggage. Prior to my booking I checked out the sizes of luggage space and knew this was the size car we required. We received a Qashqai Auto SUV which did not have room to take all the people and the cases. It was a good job my brother (who also had problems with the same Company, his booking was made via Ryanair) was there to help. On the return journey, my cousin had to make the 2 hour journey to drop part of our party off at the airport. We booked the bigger car, so no-one would have to do this. If we had wanted a smaller car, we would have booked one. When I asked where our estate car was, the young man who was showing us to our vehicle, said there wasn't one. They had our money since June, we booked the correct car and still the car was not available. Whilst the SUV was ok, it was not fit for purpose. They would not take a swipe of our Credit card because it was not exactly the same as on the passport. We do not have a credit card with full name on. All our cards are with initials and surname. They would not release the car, even though the passport, drivers licence, proof of who we were was indisputable. We had to pay an extra £220 to get out of the airport. Our card was then acceptable. This allegedly paid for all the things we had paid for. But fuel was now full to empty. We had already paid full to Full. Had insurances included anyway and a stand alone policy for CDW. We could not cancel the booking in order to re-book as we had already paid. Plus it was 7pm and we had a 2 hour journey in front of us and family waiting. We hire cars all over the world and have never had this problem before. I do read the small print, but when it is in a hidden paragraph in polish - not so easy. Stating full name. We just thought that was our full name on the credit card. They did the same thing to my brother, he had to pay £150 to get out of the airport with a car, exact same problem - only initials on his credit card. Our car hire was for 11 days, his was for 7 days. My brother had not been back to Poland for 31 years, it was not a very good experience for him. We have not been to Poland for 6 years - it was an upsetting start to what was a wonderful holiday/wedding. We received a visa credit card receipt, but no other paperwork, to say what car we were getting, terms or what we had paid. Same for my brother. "

Auto Europe is telling customers they can be late up to 2 hours after pick up time.. but car companies in Poland say ony ONE HOUUR. After one hours the car will be canceled automatically. " The price for the rental has been very competitive but the old saying you get what you pay for is very true. The pick up is not from the airport as your site and voucher state. There is shuttle bus. There was no telephone number on the-voucher which did not trouble me as the voucher indicated a pick up at airport so assumed there would be an office as is the case with other agencies. We got the contact number from the tourist office and the shuttle bus arrived pretty quickly. The car was battered, covered in dents etc and the engine did no sound too great either but it got us from A to B. The agent did a very hard sell of their insurgence which I declined as I have an annual cover. He returned to the topic of insurance several times during collection. I was asked to wash the car on drop off. When I said that this was not specified, the agent conceded that they would wash it. I did not damage the car as I checked it but following the drop off, I was sent an invoice for 900 polish zloty for an alleged chip in the paintwork. The photographic evidence provided could have been from any car, any time. The agent did not spend any time explaining the workings of the car as he was focused on selling insurance. I would not use this company ever again but admit that I did not pay much for the rental, lesson has been learnt. I am challenging the charge of 900 PLN which appears to be a blatant fraudulent attempt to extract money from the Clements. Having looked at company reviews, mine is not a solitary experience. "

" I have to mention that the Wheego pick-up address in the voucher is incorrect and given as WARSAW INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT DESK IN COURTYARD MARRIOTT. However, the Wheego desk was located in the nearby Renaissance Hotel hall. Arriving there, I found an empty Wheego desk and a few young men chatting outside. They noticed me waiting in front of the desk but ignored it. Later, one of them approached the Company desk after seeing me walking back towards the Hotel's reception. He did not introduce himself, had no badge with his name and did not even say sorry for making me unreasonably wait. I politely introduced myself, informed him about my reservation, and we proceeded with the paperwork. Opposing my original reservation, the agent offered a smaller, less comfortable and enjoyable Toyota Yaris Cross instead of a pre-paid Toyota CHR, without alternatives. Unfortunately, the first offered car was faulty and displayed the warning: "the hybrid system failed, contact the dealer". Consequently, I addressed the issue to the same agent, who came to the car and tried unsuccessfully to restart the vehicle a few times. Then, the mentioned member of staff took the car keys and walked towards his desk without saying anything. I had to persuade him and seek his decision regarding the situation. He offered another similar car without any apologies for the inconvenience caused. Fortunately, the second Toyota Yaris Cross was in good technical condition and fairly clean. I had no problem driving it. The drop-off process went smoothly, and it took just a few minutes, as I had detailed pictures of the rental vehicle. The agent (another one) was polite and communicative. "

" Misleading information given on the hire voucher. No directions provided to the Auto Union office, instead the voucher stated that the 'meeting point' was at the terminal exit behind the car hire offices. This strongly implied that Auto Union's location was somewhere off site and that we would be met on arrival and transferred to the location of the car. Our flight landed a little early and I called the Auto Union number and was told that the rep would 'be there in 15 minutes' ,so we duly waited at the meeting point. Nobody came to meet us. We waited, getting more annoyed. Finally we called the auto union number again to ask where the rep was and were told "we don't come to the terminal to meet you, you have to come to us". I pointed out that the voucher said we would be met at the exit of the terminal building. I was told this was a "mistake by Auto Europe". When we got the car, it was clear that it had been in a few minor accidents with large scrapes down the driver side front and rear doors, damage to 2 of the 4 wheel trims, and lots of dents and dings. It had clearly not been cleaned as there were still suction marks on the windscreen from the previous hirer's mobile phone mount. Nevertheless we agreed to take the car because all we wanted to do was to get on our way and enjoy our holiday. Despite giving my email address to both Auto Europe and again to Auto Union, I was not emailed a copy of the terms and conditions as promised. I signed a mobile tablet to say I had received these, but was not permitted to read them before signing the tablet. It later came to light that the rep had mistyped my email address into his system leading to the contract and terms and conditions not reaching me. I was therefore unaware of the requirement to clean the car inside and out before returning it as this stipulation had never been mentioned. On returning the vehicle Auto Union wanted to charge me an additional fee of over 40 euros which they said was stipulated in the T&Cs which they had failed to send to me. I took the car to the car wash myself and it cost me 30 zloty to clean it (about a tenth of the fee auto union felt was reasonable to charge for cleaning). Not only would that have been an extortionate fee, it was in my view wholly unethical since the car had not been cleaned to a satisfactory standard prior to my renting it. All in all it was the worst hire car experience I have had in 30 years of travel and I will not use Auto Union nor Auto Europe again. "

" I rented a car through AUTO EUROPE, in a package with full damaged insurance and fully flexible cancellation. The day before departure or the same day, I was informed by AUTO EUROPE that the company from which I had to pick up the car was FLEX To Go. I wanted to check the location of the place from which I should pick up the car, and I saw the opinions of the company's customers which were very bad, one star only. One negative opinion after another. I realized there might be problems since so many people have problems with this company, but it was too late to change and cancel the order. If I had been informed earlier by AUTO EUROPE, from whom I was actually renting the car, I would have definitely cancelled the booking. When I arrived at the company's counter with a child, wife and luggage, the company's agent started persuading me to purchase additional options that, according to him, would protect me from problems, and from which, according to him, I was not protected even if I purchased full damaged insurance through AUTO EUROPE. I paid for the car at the beginning of £159. The agent did not speak favourably about the AUTOEUROPE company, and in his opinion, the company is misleading customers by charging them with insurance that is not honoured by FLEX TO GO and in case of problems, despite the insurance paid, I will be charged all the costs, and later I will be able to try to recover them from the AUTOEUROPE which might be not easy. He talked me into purchasing fuel, the option of not having to have a full tank when returning the car, and the option of washing the car. Without these additional options, if any problem occurs once returning the car – fuel level and cleanliness I would be charged a penalty fee. Of course, at the top, he added their insurance and a charge for a child chair. Altogether, all of these extras cost me an extra £193. The agent said that with this package, I wouldn't have to worry about anything, and the car would be covered fully. Quoting his words - I can come with half the car, and I still don't have to worry about anything. Of course, during this conversation, I tried to explain to him that I already have insurance and I am sure that I should not have to purchase any other insurance. However, I was tired of the conversation that was not going on, and I agreed to the proposal. As I wrote above his speech, plus reading company reviews, I was less and less sure what to do, and I was very worried that the company, if I did not agree to extras, would later on try to put any extra penalties on me and block my credit card deposit. After thinking for a while, I decided to change my mind, but the agent informed me that I had already paid and I could not change my decision. He told me and my wife that if I want to change it, he can only delete everything, which is equivalent to losing all the money previously paid. I was surprised at such practices, but I couldn't convince the agent, and further conversation made no sense. On the day I returned the car, I called the agent twice to make sure if the car needed to be washed inside because I found in the contract which was sent to me that after renting the car that the washing option I had purchased included outside washing only, which is different from what the agent promised me. The agent assured me twice that it was not necessary to clean the car inside and he told me that the option I purchased covers cleaning inside and outside. He told me that only description on theirs paperwork is imprecise and states outside but option for which I paid covers cleaning inside and outside. He told me that I do not need to worry, and I do not need clean inside anything, only collect rubbish. When I returned the car and keys, the same agent asked me how much fuel was in the car. I told him that I had half a tank and that the amount of fuel I paid for was too much since he knew where I was going with the car, and there was no way I could use all that fuel, asking me about it at the very beginning. The agent told me to contact their office and ask for a refund for the unused fuel. Upon arrival at the airport, I received an email stating that I would be charged an additional £31 for washing the car inside. I tried to contact the agent but he didn't answer my calls anymore and then I sent an email to customer service, who still insists that I should pay for the washing, even though their agent lied to me and the information he provided was not true and reliable, which is his responsibility. as an employee of the company and therefore additional costs are imposed on me. The company doesn't want to hear about the refund for fuel either. The entire car rental cost me at the end, instead of the £159 I paid to your company, £383. Instead of rest, my family and I experienced a lot of stress and were exposed to additional costs. The company's employees' information is false to impose additional costs on their customers, which must be the rule after reading numerous similar stories of other customers. "

Wheego staff did acknowledge a mistake, apologised for not having the right car at the right time, blaming late return from other customer I think. After considering my complaint Wheego's manager Pawel issued me a small good-will compensation. Summarising - not exactly stellar, but pretty good for the budget price operator. Wheego also went quite some way being quite decent in view of the hassle caused. "

She reply i would loose my deposit.....Absolute disgraceful and shocking! You worker had a bad attitude and was very sarcastic. Upon bringing car back there was no spaces to park under the your rental company name and when I went to ask to the rental office at Gdańsk airport it was closed. So needed to park the car in different company parking slot not knowing if that's OK and if I'm not going to be fined for parking in a wrong space or exceeding the time of rental! " I have gone with Auto Europe for over 15 years however when an issue arose, we found the obstacles that where put in place where all by Auto Europe and not Alamo who we ended up going to direct who where very helpful and managed to resolve the issues swiftly and efficiently, Auto Europe's call handler did her best but was guided by her manager who tried to get us to cancel and rebook when it was completely unnecessary and would have cost us an additional £255. The protocols in place for the call handler where very limited and need to be reviewed if you want to retain loyal customers. "

" I have previously used CarWizz last year and was overall satisfied with my experience. This year however was a different story. To begin, there was no one waiting at the airport even though I made sure to call up beforehand with my flight number and arrival time. The flight was about an hour late but this should be taken into account by staff (as they were aware of flight number). I tried to contact them by phone and eventually got through on my fifth try. When the rep finally showed up (in casual clothes with no logo or badge) he didnt bother to even get out of the car and to greet and introduce himself or the company, he was unhappy to even open the car boot for us to put our bags. During the ride he made remarks about having to wait around since the flight was late and was rushed stating he has other things to do. At the office he was totally unprofessional and and had no clue on basic customer service. He didnt show us the car all over or explained any damage- he just wanted papers signed and to leave as he was in a rush he stated. He also tried blocking 4500zloty (1000euro) on my card dispite I had booked a zero excess policy with a 300euro deposit and actually had to prove this to him. Dominik (guessing from the emailed agreement papers since he did not introduce himself) was extremely rude and gave us a very unpleasant experience. I honestly wonder how he got the job in the first place! I had a completely opposite experience when dropping off the car. Dawid was totally professional, friendly and helpful. A nice surprise! "

There was no scratch I was 100% but it all felt underhand...I will never ever hire a car with Kaizen group again and suggest you do not promote them... "

" I rent and paid for a car online. When I got there to collect it I had to wait 2 hours with 2 little kids because nobody was at the desk. When the staff fnally arrived he said he only needed couple of signatures. But it didn't end there! I requested two car seats but didn't go ahead with them as I was going to be charged €120( I could buy 2 brand new seats for this price) the guy asked then for a credit card to secure deposit. We did not have one, we have never had it, but we both had debit cards. He said in this case we are forced to buy a full protection insurance which I after found to be included with a package I have already paid for. We ended up paying over £320 double what was shown on the website. People please be aware. These people want to take every penny possible out of you! They used the chance that our kids were allover the place and we wanted to be out of the airport as we had 4 hour journey ahead of us. Proper fraud! "

If you hire a car from them, please make sure you take photos and videos of the car's condition. Especially around the bumpers, base of doors and wheels. I'm glad we did, as they tried to claim the existing damages were 'new' from our rental. They charged us for this, and it took a month to get our funds back. The lady at the counter on collection was rude, and tried to up-sell us on every type of extra insurance she could imagine. An awful experience! " The worst experience with a car rental ever!! Avoid at all cost. You're gonna end up paying double. The worst customer service. Due to covid 19 my usual car rental wasn't operating at the time so used Auto Europe for a first time. I booked an automatic Mercedes GLA (or similar class car) that was confirmed as available. When arrived to collect the car was given standard Toyota Avensis that was much cheaper that what I paid for. Was told the Mercedes was never available and they had a similar class car but it broke down. It was 3am and the person serving us was debating for over 1h if to release the car due to my credit card only showing initial of my first name rather than having the full first name printed (UK standard). It was a nightmare!! We then found out that we had to pay extra for the preordered infant car seat that costed half of the entire car hire fee! And it was not even mentioned on the website. We then found out it costed us the same as buying the actual car seat!! The smell inside the car was awful!! we had to drive with the windows down in the middle of the night with 2 kids in the car. 3 days after we returned the car we found out that we were charged £70 for apparently leaving the car dirty which was a nonsense. I wish I used Uber instead that would save me half the money and hassle. "

Wrote several email to global rent a car and they totally ignore me. Will now pass claim onto auto europe. "

" One slight problem, they sent me post hire report detailing damage to passenger door mirror and fuel tank only 95% full, I emailed them with photos of the car without any damage to mirror on return date and also disputed fuel because we filled tank just outside airport before returning car, they didnt respond or charge my CC so hopefully resolved. He refused to accepted mine and said that insurance is invalid. He try to scare me that any scratches or windows cracked and he charge me full amount of deposit. I insist to leave me with my insurance. He become very rude person because I didn't buy one as he had prabobly extra money for the sell one. He refused to go with me over the car so I could check car for any scratches. The car had few scratches around the car. I've packed my bags and drove to exit barriers from the airport car park. The ticket provided by staff to exit was invalid. I did comeback to desk office to ask what to do but lights was off and that person finished work. I had to pay 60 polish zloty (£15) to exit the airport on top of I paid already for rent a car.On the way back person on the desk was great complete opposite the first person. "

" Do not use this company!!! Collecting the car we had the usual sales pitch for the extra insurance for zero excess, this happens with most rental companies. The gentleman at the desk shrugged his shoulders when we refused and said you don't know what can happen in Kraków. Whatever that meant?! We were soon to find out! On returning the vehicle there was no one in the car park to check the vehicle. We asked the gentleman on the desk if he would come and check it but he refused. The vehicle was returned in the exact condition it was collected in. 3 hours later back in the UK, we receive an email with an outline of the vehicle and a red circle on the wing mirror indicating there was damage (not specific) and charging our credit card £1108!!! Of course we stopped the payment immediately as there was absolutely no damage to the vehicle when we left it and we believe this is a scam. Next time we will insist on someone checking the vehicle before leaving it but when you're 100% confident it's as you found it and you have a flight to catch we didn't see there being any issues. "

" The maps in the GPS unit I hired were several years out of date. We specifically hired a GPS unit so that we would not have to worry too much about navigation through Poland. In several locations, according to the GPS map, we were in the middle of a field far away from any road. In other locations, the GPS instructed that we leave the "unconstructed" road to follow minor roads. This was very confusing to us as we were trying to get to the other side of Poland to attend our sons wedding. The 12v charger did not work in the cigarette lighter socket of the car. I tried another charger, this did not work either. This meant that we had to navigate across Poland using pure luck and our limited Polish speaking skills. Eventually I bought and modified a USB cable which charged your GPS unit ok. Your mechanic needs to look at this. I could not get in contact with the customer services number on the back of the car key to explain these issues. I tried several times via telephone, and there has been no reply to my email either. I keep receiving bills for supposed damages to the car. I dispute the damage was caused by us, but when I did eventually get to speak to someone, there was no way I could trust what he was saying any more. "

I was misled to sign the car acceptance form for the initial inspection that occurs at the back without my physical presence. The company did not adequately prep the car for ordinary driving with missing fluids such as AdBlue (diesel) and windshield wipers. After expressing my concerns regarding the lack of attention from the staff, I am rudely reminded that I should be grateful for the upgrade that I did not request. In the return process, I am told to sign the key return form, which again I am again misled to sign the car return form that detailed their inspection without my presence. The overall process was made as a scam to unreasonable deduct my rental deposit. The staff is unable to provide me with an official workshop receipt detailing the work. The number provided by the company is unreachable. How could such company be listed and suggested for rental? "

It ended up paying £230 in total for our booking. We asked the staff for a solution and this was the only option they suggested. With my 10months old baby I felt so trapped. They even said to make a new booking it wl be same as £170 no excess option. When I checked for a new booking next day I could have done it for £70. "

" It took 1/2 hour waiting to even be served to collect the car. I was not allowed to take the car without a £750 visa card deposit. I do not own a visa card. I offered to give £750 as payment from bank account to be refunded when I returned the car unharmed. This was not allowed either. I was given the option to pay £149 extra or not have the car. With 3 children I had to pay the £149. The car was so shaky whenever waiting in traffic. The front right head light did not work so we had to risk driving dangerously along the mountain roads in Zakopane which was very risky and scary. Then when we stopped at a service station on a motorway the car would not go at all. It took 20 minutes to get it going. When we returned there was another 1/2 hour waiting time. I explained the faults to the member of staff. She was so rude, dismissive and did not offer any help in solving it. "

" I have been charged for the damage that was already on the vehicle when I hired it, when i asked for the damage report, was told this was being e-mailed to me. The quality of that report is not comparable with other car rental companies. I have worked for a leading car rental company in UK and I thought I understood the process, but this company has their own way of doing things and they are not very open about it until they change you your excess. The rental agreement is missing vital information and again, you get it emailed so unable to read what you are signing. I have additional car hire excess insurance bought separately, I therefore opted for paying the excess deposit. I returned the vehicle during office hours but had to use out of hours facility as office was shut. I then received an email saying that I have been charged for the damage. As far as I was concerned I have returned car in same condition as I hired it. I was then looking at the report, trying to understand what they are charging me for, I could not see the damage on the pictures as the quality of them were so low. On the report there was no description of the damage but just a dot on the area where supposedly it was located. This was not consistent with the overall description of the location of the damage I was charged for. Then the invoice for the charges made absolutely no sense. The charges were totally different to what has actually been charged to my credit card. I have also received images of damage on another vehicle attached to the report. I contacted the company and asked for comprehensive report mentioning all above, it took 30 days for them to resend me the same report but without the images of the different vehicle. I am trying to claim the charges from my other insurance but the information on the damage report is so poor that I'm being asked for additional information. I'm now being also asked to confirm the total excess amount on the hire rental agreement as the agreement is nonexistent. They really need to start working the same way as the rest of the industry. "

A have arrived at Modlin, went to the global car hire office, they ask me to sign the paperwork with out see the car, and send me out on car park with the car keys only, no paperwork as they explain I will have a email shortly with any damages. I was traveling with 2 little girls, my mum, and wife. I was wondering round the car park for about 20 minutes as nobody explain where the car is , finally founded, then noticed that the car have damages all over and not compliance with the form was sent to me by email. Then we went to global office again but unfortunately nobody was there, I found the global staff on car park and asked to fallow me to the car as I found a lot more damages than Was highlighted on the form , the guy after we looked at the paperwork and current damages said. Don't worry just make pictures and send to me all will be fine. All pictures been done straight away but it was a night time. Also next day on day light we did pictures then send them to global with response as they will save them and update the form. As I was on my family holiday is took me 2 h to deal with the car, pictures, and looking for global staff on the first day of hire. We also sent a email including pictures as we not happy with the way they treating customers. After 2 weeks of hire they send me a email with damage which I photographed and sent to them and charge me a 197£ for it!!! I'm absolutely devastated. I also read the reviews about global and there is a lot of customers not happy with very similar problem. I have sent email to global after they sent me the charge including the picture of the damage as I'm not gonna accepting the charge cos the damage was done earlier before I have hire the car which is proven by picture. Please help as they took me for 197£ . "

" I am very disappointed with my car rental experience. On arriving at the airport I had a big wait at the desk as there was only 1 person working and a rental from scratch in front of me. When it was eventually my turn everything was fine until I was asked for my credit card. Unfortunately I didn't have this with me as it was not made clear that this would be required and I was happy to put any deposit on my debit card. This was apparently not an option so I asked if I could use my husband's credit card, again not an option. I then suggested changing the driver to my husband (at my cost), again not an option which I find ridiculous. I was then forced to take out insurance for the car at €25 a day and had to pay for a full tank of petrol. This ended up tripling the rental cost from close to £100 to £300! I was also advised to pay for this on my card in £s instead of Zloty as it would have been a 'better deal', I have travelled enough to know that this is not the case and if I'd taken his advise it would have cost me an extra £10 as I took a note of the conversion rate and checked what my bank had charged. I'm sure this would have been money in their pocket. I ended up returning the car in A1 condition with over half a tank of petrol (I also noted that your paperwork said 1/3 was left which was definitely not the case!) This petrol had been paid for by myself and at the time I said there was no way we'd use a full tank and asked if I could just pay for what we used. So €85 for less than half a tank of petrol and close to €200 for insurance I didn't want has left me extremely out of pocket and ruined our holiday which we had budgeted for. Surely I could have changed the named driver or put the deposit on my debit card. I even said I would ring the bank and they would sort it but again I was told this was not an option. It felt like the member of staff who served me was just looking out for himself as I'm sure he gets a bonus or commission for getting people to take out the top insurance. He probably filled his car up with the extra petrol I had apparently used (dropped off with over half and paperwork said 13 as previously mentioned.) I would be extremely grateful if you could look into this for me as offer me some sort of refund as a good will gesture if nothing else. We'd saved all year for this holiday and almost all of our spending money went in the first few minutes on the car rental. I understand this wouldn't have happened if I had a credit card present but I was willing to pay extra to change the named driver to my husband who had his card with him or get in touch with the bank to sort it out remotely. " Auto Europe have been extremely helpful, from the start when I needed to change my package to include a car seat, to explaining the whole excess reimbursement cover to me. After my rental and the whole fiasco with the damage report I called their customer services and spoke to a very friendly man who assured me they would sort the whole thing out once the charge went through and I provided them with the checkout/in paperwork so they could challenge Global about the charges. Will definitely be using Auto Europe again, though think I will avoid Global. "
" When collecting the car I was offered to upgrade my SUV to a premium SUV for some extra money, which wasn't too much and meant I got a better car. However, that car had an engine fault within 20min of driving it and carried on for the week of me having the car which meant I couldn't see any of the data in the instrument cluster because the error wouldn't go away. The counter staff also tried to sell me their "no excess" package which simply meant I wouldn't have to worry about putting down a deposit and any damage to the car would be dealt with. I guess that can be good for some, but Auto Europe already offer excess reimbursement cover so all you need to do is provide paperwork for any damage and it's all taken care of. On drop off, there was no one at the counter and I just dropped my keys off in to a box which I guess was nice and quick but then there was no one to go over the car with to make sure they were happy with the condition. I then received a report back that I had damaged the car, which got me worried about the deposit I paid because I had no paperwork or invoice from Global to use for my claim against the excess reimbursement cover. However, looks like that deposit never got charged so all ended well. "

" The only issue I had was that I was told that the parking was on level 5.5 and I spent about 20 minutes in the lift pressing 5.5 and it would not take me there. I eventually figured out that I had to get out on level 6 and walk down to level 5.5 This is not a problem with the hire company as you don't own or maintain the lift but it would help if you can advise the customers that the lift actually won't stop at the half levels and you have to get out at the level above or below and climb or decline to the half level. "

This was supposedly due to the only Premium category car at Gdansk Airport having been crashed a week earlier, which means that Global made no arrangements whatsoever to arrange an alternative Premium category (or higher) vehicle despite a week's notice, and neither did they inform me nor AutoEurope, as they knew I would in that instance have cancelled the booking and used a different rental car provider. It now goes without saying that I will not be using Global again and I will be advising others against the company. "

On collection, I had to sign for the vehicle on a handheld device which didn't outline any T's and C's and was mainly in Polish which I don't speak. Three days after returning car to a car park in Balice airport I receive a bill of 107.5 zł for allegedly not returning a parking ticket, which is not true. In fact there was noone in the office when I return the car (12 o'clock midday) and I left all relevant documents in Hilton hotel reception. You can download CCTV. That company is trying to rip off the customers. Shame on you. "

" There was no one there to pick the car up when we're waiting for a plane was wishing to do some shopping and relax with a meal before my journey was unable to do so as had to wait 55 minutes for the car to be picked up they do not have a drop off point should anything go wrong where you can drop the car and the keys a waste to end of my holiday I would rather the Davy West anyway enough to drop the car off that the staff could also do the same and have some courtesy "

" On arrival were quick to sort out the paperwork although they were strying to sell us extra insurance. They gave us a diagram of the vehicle and only pointed out 1 scratch. On checking the vehicle found numerous other sratches and the staff did not seem too bothered. On returning the vehicle there was nobody at the desk for about 20 minutes although we did arrive a little early. Aworry in the future due to checking in for flight. "
