I daydream a lot. Not when I'm working - a necessary disclaimer for my superiors - but I do drift around when I'm writing and it instantly takes me back. I can almost feel the warm water on my feet when I go back to, for instance, last Summer's journey to Corsica.
I must be a highly suggestible person. Going through the Sanguinaires I couldn't stop thinking about red wine, which is something I really enjoy. So much so that I had to hand the keys to my
car hire in Corsica to the person traveling with me. Thinking a little ahead, we had contracted the option to have an additional driver.
In my summer vacations I have three objectives: to rest as much as I can, to eat good food and to drink fine wine if available. After a fine rosé served with a fantastic fish plate, I headed up to Isolella where I had the most peaceful nap of my life. L'île de Beauté, as Corsica is also known is perfect for those.
This Summer I want to head out to Bulgaria. I've been intrigued by that country for a long time, and I'm sure I'll be a very capable and available co-pilot for our
car hire in Bulgaria!
Anyone who's been there has any suggestions of places to go to? I'm all errm... eyes?
