Italy's famous bare back horse race that takes place on the sand covered Piazza del Campo. After the race you can tuck into the massive feast set upon long tables that stretch for blocks on the side streets. The reason for the race? The neighbouring towns are competing for the banner dedicated to the Virgin Mary.
Running with the bulls

If your brave enough to take part in this event you have to be up early at the start at 7.30am. The run stretches from the corral at Santo Domingo to the bullring where the bulls will then fight that same afternoon. We recommend you watch only!
