The smell of freshly cut grass, sun beating down on our heads it can mean only one thing, its festival time!Europe bursts to life in the summer months and we all seem to have a much larger lust for life and the great outdoors. Festivals are a fantastic way of having fun, meeting new people and discovering new places.

Possible the biggest UK outdoor festival has just finished packing its tents away so if you didn't get a chance to get to Glastonbury why not treat yourself to one of these.

Palio
Location: Siena, Italy
Date: 2 July

Italy's famous bare back horse race that takes place on the sand covered Piazza del Campo. After the race you can tuck into the massive feast set upon long tables that stretch for blocks on the side streets. The reason for the race? The neighbouring towns are competing for the banner dedicated to the Virgin Mary.

Running with the bulls
Location: Pamplona, Spain
Dates: 7-14th July

If your brave enough to take part in this event you have to be up early at the start at 7.30am. The run stretches from the corral at Santo Domingo to the bullring where the bulls will then fight that same afternoon. We recommend you watch only!

Belfast Taste and Music Fest
Location: Belfast, Northern Ireland
Dates: 4-8th

AugustCombine your love of music and great tasting food by joined the Irish at this exciting event. Located on the lush green Great Lawn you can sample finger licking food made by some of Ireland's best chefs whilst being entertained by great live acts!

Big Chill 2010

Location: Eastnor Castle Deer Park, Herefordshire, UK
Dates: 5-7th August

Relax at this three day creative festival. Enjoy live music acts from world famous artists and an art trail that leads up a steep hill! All this is surrounded by some of England's most amazing countryside. Don't forget too pack your tent for this one!It's time to get your bags packed, sun cream on and head for the great outdoors!
