An insignificant scratch on the plastic offside wheel arch was picked upon by the Europcar guy who wanted to escalate this to a charge.. I tried to remind him that one of his colleagues (who was there when I checked out) had mentioned this scratch on check out. The guy's memory was poor and it "wasn't on the paper". It was only when I insisted on getting his colleague to verify my version that the issue was resolved. I had independent insurance anyway, but this was an irritating episode. "

We booked with Auto Europe to hire a car from the train station, instead we had to walk 15 minutes to collect the car. We have written to Auto Europe regarding this, we would not use Auto Europe in the future! "

" Two things shocked and disappointed me: 1. The York pickup was falsely advertised as being at York Station, when in fact it was a 20 min walk from there. The only reason I went to York was that I planned to pickup a car from the station. I had to walk through the rain, with a 3 year-old and two items of luggage. 2. Having returned the car to Inverness I received an £30 invoice for cleaning. Apart from a few crumbs on the seat the car was in perfect and clean condition. "

The business premises are of a poor standard and when i went to the collection area there was one employee only and he ignored me until he finished hoovering out a car . The bell on the wall to alert the staff member of my presence didnt work. When i eventually got my car it wasnt valeted to a very high standard. The car was new though with only a few thousand miles in it . "
