    Airlines operating at Brno-Tuřany Airport: There are two main airlines operating at the airport with Ryanair flying to London and BMI Regional offering flights to Munich. Seasonal flights to European holiday hotspots are handled by Onur Air, Smart Wings, Travel Service, and Tunis Air.


    Collecting your car rental at Brno Airport is fairly simple as all suppliers’ desks are situated in a walkway between the arrival and departure halls.     The airport consists of a two-storey terminal, built in 2006. The new terminal building is a fine example of contemporary Czech architecture; it received the “Building of the Year” award in 2007. Arrivals and departures halls are divided into two concourses.


    Most of the food facilities are situated in the departures hall on the ground floor; these include a bar with soft and alcoholic drinks and coffee, café, and fast food for a quick bite. An à la carte restaurant is located on the first floor of the arrival hall. The airport Shop Brno, offering all sorts of travel guides, newspapers, souvenirs and refreshments is situated in the corridor between the arrivals and departure halls. A duty-free shop is located on the air-side of the departures hall. An ATM machine is available in the arrivals hall and money exchange is handled at the Air Service Brno office in the departures hall. Free WIFI access is available throughout the terminal building.

    Parking Tips

    The airport offers short and long stay parking with the first 20 minutes free of charge. Parking in the city centre is paid between 7am and 6pm Monday to Friday and from 7am to 1pm on Saturday. Pay attention to traffic signs advising of parking restrictions. Tickets are available from parking meters. The local practice is to park a car at the Vaňkovka shopping centre (first hour is free of charge) and walk to the nearest sightseeing attractions.


    With a car hire from Brno Airport you will be able to reach Brno city centre in less than half an hour. When exiting the airport, follow the signs to the D1 motorway in the direction of Brno. Take the road 41 exit, which will take you to the centre. Prague is only two hours away from the airport – continue driving on D1, the motorway leads directly to the capital city. Travellers opting for the public transportation system have bus and taxi at their disposal. The bus stop is located in front of the departures. Service E76 goes to the main station in Brno. There is also a night bus line N89 with the same route as E76. The trip takes approximately 20 minutes. Bus tickets are available at the vending machine in the arrival hall, the newsagents in the terminal as well as on the bus. Taxis operate from the front of the arrivals.
