One of Italy’s most impressive train stations, Genoa Principe was one of the few railway facilities not to have been re-built in the 1930s in the prevalent Art-Deco style. Located near the city's UNESCO-classified Old Town, it is situated in a very strategic point and is the nerve centre of the city's public transport network. The station is the main departure and arrival point to and from the north and west of Italy and is connected by direct Thello trains to key destinations in the South of France.
