    Terminals

    Inverness Airport is a single-terminal infrastructure with everything a passenger might need under one roof. It is renowned for its high standards of service and modern facilities with 10 check-in desks and two gates, all within easy walking distance of each other. The terminal complex also houses car parks, offices, stores, the airport fire station, an engineering base and several hangars. To the south of the terminal lie the aprons, taxiways, runways, airfield ground lighting and an air traffic control tower situated towards the airfield’s southern boundary line.

    Despite having just one terminal, Inverness Airport offers its passengers a wide range of on-site facilities and amenities, whether they are arriving or departing.     How to get to and from Inverness Airport

Upon your arrival there is a passenger drop-off zone within the short-stay car park with ten minutes allocated free-of-charge to allow for passenger drop-offs and pick-ups. Stagecoach operates a bus network from Inverness Airport with departures every 30 minutes between Inverness city centre and the airport. Other routes serve a range of destinations in the city's environs, including Elgin, Forres and Nairn. Taxis are plentiful and can be taken to and from the airport passenger terminal with a taxi rank located near the Short-stay car park and drop-off zone. Although the airport has no station of its own, Inverness Train Station is located about 15 minutes by car from the airport or by bus via Academy Street at the Eastgate Shopping Centre in Inverness. The train station has services to numerous Scottish destinations, including, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Glasgow and throughout the highlands.

    Parking Tips

    There are several parking possibilities for visitors who choose to rent a car at Inverness Airport. The city has many car parks which are quite affordable compared to other large cities in the UK. In the centre of Inverness there are several shopping centres where it is also possible to park safely and relatively cheaply, depending on the location. At Inverness Airport, a drop-off zone exists outside the passenger terminal where you can drop-off or pick-up passengers free of charge with a 10-minute time-span. If you wish to stay longer, then a short-stay car park is available and can be found directly outside the terminal building. For longer stays, then using the long-stay car park is a better option.
