Location: The airport is located around nine miles southwest of Rhodos City, on the west side of the island.
Airlines operating at Rhodes Airport: Besides numerous local airlines, the airport hosts a number of international flights. TUIfly, Thomson Airways, Ryanair, easyJet, Jet2.com connect Rhodes to the UK.
The airport features only one terminal that serves domestic and international flights. Summer is the busiest time of the year when the airport sees a large number of charter and seasonal flights. An estimated four million passengers travel through Rhodes Airport every year.
Pick up your vehicle from one of the car rental desks. Have your voucher ready together with an internationally valid credit card in the name of the main driver for the pick-up. Read your voucher carefully in order to make the pick-up procedure hassle-free. We also recommend checking the opening hours of the car hire desks before your booking. As a single-terminal building, Rhodes Airport may not have the comfort of a big international airport. There are, however, the basic service one may need on a trip. At the passenger terminal you will find several eateries, ATMs, a news kiosk, a duty-free shop, travel agencies and car hire desks.
The dual carriage road that goes along the coast and encircles the island will lead you from the city of Rhodes to the airport in only 20 minutes. Take your car hire from Rhodes Airport to Athens or Crete with ferry service or simply explore the beautiful island in your car from Auto Europe. The airport is connected to the city by a regular bus service that operates every half an hour. Be sure to prepare cash for the ticket as cards are not accepted. The bus stop is located around 1000 feet from the terminal in front of a small coffee shop. Taxis are also available and they can be found at the Arrivals taxi station.
Only a few feet from the Arrivals, you will see a parking lot of the Diagoras Parking, where you can leave your car for free in the first 20 minutes. Their service can be pre-booked via email. In the city of Rhodes find free parking spaces along the Mandraki harbour. This, however, may be next to impossible during the high season. Parking is also not so easy to find in the Old Town. We recommend leaving your vehicle at the paid parking lot near the main harbour. Free parking will be indicated with white lines whereas yellow line stands for parking prohibited, and blue lines signify paid parking.
