Location: The airport is located 2 miles west south west of Salzburg centre and 1.2 miles from the Austrian-German border.
Airlines operating from Salzburg Airport: There are approximately 23 airlines flying to and from Salzburg Airport. Among them are Austrian Airlines, British Airways and numerous low-cost airlines, including Easy Jet, Jet2 and Ryanair. Some airlines operate only during the winter months for the ski season.
Salzburg Airport consists of two terminals, located next to each other. Terminal 1 is the main building, whilst Terminal 2 is used mainly in the winter to manage the extra seasonal traffic. Terminal 1 has 3 floors with the ground floor hosting the check-in desks, departure gates, security check, bars and shops. It also hosts the arrivals hall and baggage reclaim all on the ground floor. The 2nd floor of Terminal 1 has a couple of restaurants, whilst the 3rd floor has a café and viewing terrace. Other services offered include a bank, children's play area on the 2nd floor, and public toilets.

There are a few facilities at Salzburg Airport with Terminal 1 being the main terminal where you will find everything. There are a few bars on the ground floor, with a couple of restaurants on the 2nd floor and a café on the 3rd floor. Salzburg Airport offers free Wi-Fi and a bank for currency exchange. The terminal is open from 06:00 to 23:00 (local time) daily.
If you are heading straight from Salzburg to Salzburg Airport, you would take the Neutor, Maxglaner Hauptstrasse and turn left to the Innsbrucker Bundesstrasse (B1). There is a public bus service, which runs regular 10 to 20 minute intervals from Salzburg centre, Salzburg main railway station to the Airport. The bus service also goes to Zell am See, Maiishofen, Saalfeldon and other destinations. There is no train station at Salzburg Airport, you would need to get the public bus or a taxi into Salzburg and take the train from Salzburg Hauptbahnhof. The rail station is approximately 20 minutes from the airport. There are taxis outside the main rail station in Salzburg which can you to the airport directly. A taxi stand is also outside the airport.
Salzburg Airport has 1,921 parking spaces available on 7 levels at the airport. It has an 1,366 additional parking spaces 5 minutes away. Parking in Salzburg centre is now limited due to the growing volume of traffic. The majority of parking in the inner city are limited parking zones operating Monday - Friday: 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m., paid parking on Saturday: 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., free with a parking dial. Maximum parking: 3 hours. Salzburg offers a Park & Ride option; there are parking places outside the city gates where you can park the car then take the bus into the centre.
