Drive from Thessaloniki Airport to the centre of the city following the signs. You will want to drive on A/D Thessalonikis Neon Moudanion/A25 to Agios Pavlos. Exit A25 towards the centre. On the way back, leave Thessaloniki downtown, follow signs for Makedonia Airport and get on the A25 road. Drive on and take the exit towards the airport (EO Aerodromiou). Keep left and merge onto A/D Thessalonikis Neon Moudanion/ A25. Move to the right lane and take the exit towards the airport. Continue onto EO Aerodromiou Thessalonikis.
Should you opt for a car rental in one of our downtown offices, take a direct bus (line 78) from outside the terminal and reach the city centre in about 50 minutes. Taxis to Thessaloniki can be found right outside the Arrivals Hall and the journeys lasts around 25 minutes.
The airport offers East and West parking lots with over 1400 parking spaces and 28 parking spaces for disabled drivers. Both short and long-term parking options are available.
Parking in Thessaloniki downtown is chargeable. Park your car hire in the secured car park at Eletherias Square and pay when you exit.
When parking on the street, be sure to obtain and validate official parking cards valid for one hour. Buy as many cards as you need and validate them beforehand. We recommend buying a good city map which shows all one-way streets.
