" The car supplied broke down on the third day. Whilst I had declined the additional insurance because I have an excess insurance policy it was never explained that the car was not covered for breakdown which is quite unbelievable given it is supplied by Enterprise. I have had to pay approx £400 for a rescue that took 30 minutes and from a person who did not even check to see if the fault could be rectified - the car was simply put on the back of a truck and after a 10 min journey to the nearest garage I was left to make my own arrangements to return to my accommodation and then get a bus back to Geneva Airport to collect a new car. The next issue is that the new car was delivered with the low tyre pressure warning light on/a slow puncture which meant it had to be topped up with air on a regular basis. And finally which has never happened to me before, the car was returned full which the person accepting the car back confirmed and then I find I have been charged for a de minimus amount of fuel plus a handling charge when I had filled it shortly before handing it back! "

" I think that Auto Europe were instrumental in me getting compensation from Enterprise, but in their first reply to me they stated that I had not reserved a 4x4 from Enterprise. They then acknowledged that I had after I referred them to my Auto Europe voucher. "

I informed Enterprise about this by email three times, they did not reply until AutoEurope intervened. Enterprise then replied saying it was a computer error and offered me a refund of the additional driver charge I had paid (CHF60) in compensation. When I returned the car they new nothing of the offer and no compensation was provided until I produced the emails as proof. I then received the compensation. "

" Although the lady at the counter in the airport was doing a good job, she was on her own where as all the other car rental businesses had 2 to 4 members of staff on the counter. The wait was not too bad though but could have been quicker. Everything else was top class. My car was upgraded too. "

It took a lot of digging into the T&Cs and website to find any information on this and was frustrating as we had called them in advance to tell them the flight was delayed and there was no mention of this until we arrived at pick up. " my disappointment was needing a credit card - i have 5 visa cards but i do not need or want a credit card they are no use to me these days - i was lucky a friend with me had one or we would have been stuck with no car !! surely there must be another way than requesting a credit card if not then i wont be using enterprise again "
