I am aware, when booking, that it states that you might not get the exact same car as you request. " The price for the rental has been very competitive but the old saying you get what you pay for is very true. The pick up is not from the airport as your site and voucher state. There is shuttle bus. There was no telephone number on the-voucher which did not trouble me as the voucher indicated a pick up at airport so assumed there would be an office as is the case with other agencies. We got the contact number from the tourist office and the shuttle bus arrived pretty quickly. The car was battered, covered in dents etc and the engine did no sound too great either but it got us from A to B. The agent did a very hard sell of their insurgence which I declined as I have an annual cover. He returned to the topic of insurance several times during collection. I was asked to wash the car on drop off. When I said that this was not specified, the agent conceded that they would wash it. I did not damage the car as I checked it but following the drop off, I was sent an invoice for 900 polish zloty for an alleged chip in the paintwork. The photographic evidence provided could have been from any car, any time. The agent did not spend any time explaining the workings of the car as he was focused on selling insurance. I would not use this company ever again but admit that I did not pay much for the rental, lesson has been learnt. I am challenging the charge of 900 PLN which appears to be a blatant fraudulent attempt to extract money from the Clements. Having looked at company reviews, mine is not a solitary experience. "

In fairness, the person on the end of phone was helpful and organised a tow truck to pick the car up as we needed to get to the airport. I have since been charged for a damaged alloy despite having photographic evidence of the wheel with no damage on it. As I was unable to refill the car up due to flat tyre they have also charged me £38 for fuel having travelled about 60 miles. The company are clearly preying on those unfortunate enough to have an issue. "

" I have gone with Auto Europe for over 15 years however when an issue arose, we found the obstacles that where put in place where all by Auto Europe and not Alamo who we ended up going to direct who where very helpful and managed to resolve the issues swiftly and efficiently, Auto Europe's call handler did her best but was guided by her manager who tried to get us to cancel and rebook when it was completely unnecessary and would have cost us an additional £255. The protocols in place for the call handler where very limited and need to be reviewed if you want to retain loyal customers. "

" I have previously used CarWizz last year and was overall satisfied with my experience. This year however was a different story. To begin, there was no one waiting at the airport even though I made sure to call up beforehand with my flight number and arrival time. The flight was about an hour late but this should be taken into account by staff (as they were aware of flight number). I tried to contact them by phone and eventually got through on my fifth try. When the rep finally showed up (in casual clothes with no logo or badge) he didnt bother to even get out of the car and to greet and introduce himself or the company, he was unhappy to even open the car boot for us to put our bags. During the ride he made remarks about having to wait around since the flight was late and was rushed stating he has other things to do. At the office he was totally unprofessional and and had no clue on basic customer service. He didnt show us the car all over or explained any damage- he just wanted papers signed and to leave as he was in a rush he stated. He also tried blocking 4500zloty (1000euro) on my card dispite I had booked a zero excess policy with a 300euro deposit and actually had to prove this to him. Dominik (guessing from the emailed agreement papers since he did not introduce himself) was extremely rude and gave us a very unpleasant experience. I honestly wonder how he got the job in the first place! I had a completely opposite experience when dropping off the car. Dawid was totally professional, friendly and helpful. A nice surprise! "

When i turned up I was told I would be liable for a £150 excess and had to put down an additional deposit of £150. This was unacceptable. It's not clear from AutoEurope's website that this is the case. Please remove from your website the ZeroExcess messaging. It's simply not true and is a lie. It's misleading. I later found out that there are links on your website that go into the small print about what zero excess means and that your partners will charge an excess for certain areas. However this surely means you can't advertise it as "zero excess" . You are in breach of trading standards. "

" Do not use this company!!! Collecting the car we had the usual sales pitch for the extra insurance for zero excess, this happens with most rental companies. The gentleman at the desk shrugged his shoulders when we refused and said you don't know what can happen in Kraków. Whatever that meant?! We were soon to find out! On returning the vehicle there was no one in the car park to check the vehicle. We asked the gentleman on the desk if he would come and check it but he refused. The vehicle was returned in the exact condition it was collected in. 3 hours later back in the UK, we receive an email with an outline of the vehicle and a red circle on the wing mirror indicating there was damage (not specific) and charging our credit card £1108!!! Of course we stopped the payment immediately as there was absolutely no damage to the vehicle when we left it and we believe this is a scam. " I am very disappointed with my car rental experience. On arriving at the airport I had a big wait at the desk as there was only 1 person working and a rental from scratch in front of me. When it was eventually my turn everything was fine until I was asked for my credit card. Unfortunately I didn't have this with me as it was not made clear that this would be required and I was happy to put any deposit on my debit card. This was apparently not an option so I asked if I could use my husband's credit card, again not an option. I then suggested changing the driver to my husband (at my cost), again not an option which I find ridiculous. I was then forced to take out insurance for the car at €25 a day and had to pay for a full tank of petrol. This ended up tripling the rental cost from close to £100 to £300! I was also advised to pay for this on my card in £s instead of Zloty as it would have been a 'better deal', I have travelled enough to know that this is not the case and if I'd taken his advise it would have cost me an extra £10 as I took a note of the conversion rate and checked what my bank had charged. I'm sure this would have been money in their pocket. I ended up returning the car in A1 condition with over half a tank of petrol (I also noted that your paperwork said 1/3 was left which was definitely not the case!) This petrol had been paid for by myself and at the time I said there was no way we'd use a full tank and asked if I could just pay for what we used. So €85 for less than half a tank of petrol and close to €200 for insurance I didn't want has left me extremely out of pocket and ruined our holiday which we had budgeted for. Surely I could have changed the named driver or put the deposit on my debit card. I even said I would ring the bank and they would sort it but again I was told this was not an option. It felt like the member of staff who served me was just looking out for himself as I'm sure he gets a bonus or commission for getting people to take out the top insurance. He probably filled his car up with the extra petrol I had apparently used (dropped off with over half and paperwork said 13 as previously mentioned.) I would be extremely grateful if you could look into this for me as offer me some sort of refund as a good will gesture if nothing else. We'd saved all year for this holiday and almost all of our spending money went in the first few minutes on the car rental. I understand this wouldn't have happened if I had a credit card present but I was willing to pay extra to change the named driver to my husband who had his card with him or get in touch with the bank to sort it out remotely. If our flight departure had not been delayed I would not have been contactable by this point. "

" Very rude staff do not bother to show you the car just because you speak polish, any different nationality were treated differently shame on you. Three days after returning car to a car park in Balice airport I receive a bill of 107.5 zł for allegedly not returning a parking ticket, which is not true. In fact there was noone in the office when I return the car (12 o'clock midday) and I left all relevant documents in Hilton hotel reception. You can download CCTV. That company is trying to rip off the customers. Shame on you. "

" On arrival were quick to sort out the paperwork although they were strying to sell us extra insurance. They gave us a diagram of the vehicle and only pointed out 1 scratch. On checking the vehicle found numerous other sratches and the staff did not seem too bothered. On returning the vehicle there was nobody at the desk for about 20 minutes although we did arrive a little early. Aworry in the future due to checking in for flight. "
