My priority was to do a quick video around the car and put my bags in the back. When I arrived at my accommodation I could see that although the car had 4 doors there was no back seat, just a cover over a solid floor. I had family to transport around with me and having only 2 front seats this was impossible.I ORDERED A CAR NOT A VAN! After the second day the tyre warning light came on. Finding somewhere to check the tyres was impossible and I was very nervous, particularly travelling the distance back to the airport, that I may have a slow puncture. When handing back the car the man said, we have this problem all the time, it's a fuse issue. Was I happy with the car? No. It wasn't what I ordered and wasn't in a fair condition. The car was fine for 24 hours, then the aircon packed up and never worked again for the duration of the trip. We waited for over one hour, and tis included 3 attempts to process the deposit. Each time it failed *apparently their system fault), we had to start all over again. I was convinced they had taken the deposit twice and so asked for written assurance they would accept responsibility, which they did. Because of this delay we missed the meeting with the agent for the apartment we were renting. He had top send instructions (which were all in French), and it was all very "challenging". " we went to pick up the car after booking with yourselves at Nantes airport on Sunday the 16th Feb but when we went to pick up car there was a problem with my Barclays card in that the swiper would not except it although I phoned my bank who said there was no problem with my card that I had sufficient funds in place. My bank then spoke to the lady on the desk & informed her there was no fault with the card & indeed it was the same card that I paid the initial booking of £166.55 with. I then offered to pay the 300 euro in cash but apparently you don't accept cash. I was obviously very upset as we had come to Nantes to view 2 properties but without the use of the car we could not make the viewings and had to also cancel our hotel. I have lost a lot of money since the whole purpose of the trip was to view 2 homes in the view of purchasing one. We then had to book another hotel close to Nantes Airport, taxis each way to and fro and generally it was a dreadful experience. We were fortunate that the hotel we were due to stay with refunded our full money even though it was not their policy and was given and received as a gesture of goodwill. Obviously we would be very grateful if you could look into the matter and surely a refund should be given from yourselves as we had paid in full on said card and offered to pay cash re holding fee and even got our bank to speak to your lady on the desk but all to no avail. We paid for a car that we were not permitted to use, we had to cancel our plans and obviously we are not rating Sixt at all or your customer service. We look forward to hearing from you and thank you for your help in this matter. "

" An excellent deal for four weeks hire of an 'economy' class vehicle. The hire process was completed without difficulty and I hope to repeat the deal in September when I next visit Nantes. "
" I hired an 'economy' class car and was very pleased with the cost and the standard of vehicle supplied. Pick-up and drop-off were handled very efficiently and particularly quickly at drop-off. I had to exchange the car midway through the four weeks booking because of a warning on the dashboard referring to a brake problem. I had to go to Garnache, near Challans, from St. Jean de Monts, in order to obtain this exchange, which was also handled quickly and efficiently. I will be hiring in Nantes for four weeks again in September and would like to have a similar deal if it is still available. I am a regular visitor to France as I have a second home there. "

" there is double handling at Nantes airport - you have to check in at the main desk only to then have to go through the same process in a small hut with lots of other people waiting to be served which is quite chaotic when it's raining and there are people waiting around. none of the other care hire companies have the same double handling process. also, we were supposed to be provided with a 4 door car but were only given a 2 door car which was very inconvenient with elderly passengers i needed to drive around. i will not use Alamo/Nationa/Enterprise at Nantes again and have complained about the car provided. Whilst the Renault Scenic 7 Seater I was provided was new, clean, good specification and comfortable, it was HUGE. I didn't need anything that big (there were only 2 of us), and felt a little too big to be driving around the country roads of the Pornic/Pornichet area. We were offered 'additional insurance' at the Europcar counter, even though we'd already purchased the additional cover before hand with AutoEurope. " Only issue was that there was no one in the Europcar cabin by rental returns - so no one could check the car in , condition, fuel etc. I had to go to the main desk and he was on his own and could not inspect the car with me. (There was no damage and the tank was full! but I have no signed confirmation of this) "

" Generally all good, felt a little 'rushed' at the collection point. The young lady was lovely, but spoke very fast, and it wasnt totally clear what i was signing for on the computerised forms at the desk. This may be me, not as quick as the young ones. The car was fine, but unsure if it had been checked thoroughly, as the fuel gauge read slightly low, and there was an empty box in the glove compartment, also Starbucks tissues! On return, we were checked in, in reasonable time, and asked to put information onto the checkers phone - very hard to do in the bright sun, but she entered the info for me. which was helpful. "
