" Very good value and overall good experience with Auto Europe. "

" Everything was good except I had booked an estate vehicle, but they wouldn't give me one as I was travelling alone. They asked how many in my party and checked my luggage before telling me they didn't have an estate available. I simply didn't believe them. I had a bike packed in a box, which clearly will fit in a smaller car with the seats down, however I booked an estate since when the bike is built up it will only fit in an estate without removing the wheels. Either way, it wasn't their business to judge whether I 'deserved' an estate or not, I had booked and paid for one so they should just give it to me. I felt powerless and angry. I remember reading another reviewer's comment that had a similar experience. Something should be done about this, it is totally unacceptable, given I paid extra for something they decided I shouldn't have. "

" We have used RentPlus at least half a dozen times and without exception we have been utterly delighted by this company. We can highly recommend them! "

" We are absolutely delighted with RentPlus, as we always are. Best car hire firm we have ever used; it was a great pleasure from beginning to end. However, we are rather concerned that AutoEurope may have given us the wrong information when it says that RentPlus charges 10€ per day for an additional driver. It would have been very convenient if both of us could have driven the car but we couldn't afford 350€ on top of the single driver cost. BUT... the exceptionally helpful men on the Prague RentPlus desk told us (unfortunately when we were bringing the car back) that it's actually a single payment of 10€ to cover a second driver for the entire period. We dread to think how many couples and families have not chosen RentPlus because 10€ / day would be too expensive. "

" AutoEurope has great prices, but I would like to see autoeurope expand its capability to provide the full Insurance cover as well online instead of having to call the call center and getting it done. Also, it would be good if you can offer the full insurance cover while making the booking itself instead of waiting 3 days prior to the booking to send the email about insurance cover. I did not take the full cover insurance because I saw the offer emails very late and missed taking the full insurance cover. "

" Auto Europe very good, easy to book and sort any issues out. "

" Collecting the vehicle was very simple, however, the office is not in the main car rental centre but next to the Marriot Hotel just along the road but is well signposted. However, returning the vehicle was a disaster. In order to enter the car park, you need to call the parking office via the intercom at the barrier. We tried this for at least 15 minutes and got no reply. A similar situation was happening next to us with another couple returning their vehicle. One of our group even went to speak to the staff at the Budget desk, who's reply was, well they are always there, they answer straight away. Luckily we had allowed ourselves plenty of time to drop the vehicle off. We did at one point think about leaving it in front of the barrier and dropping the keys off. I would not be keen on using Budget again for this reason when returning to Prague. Staff not overly helpful. "

" Auto Europe is easy to deal with and book through but they are only brokers "

" The vehicle originally allocated had a fault (internal power socket not working) and so we had to find another vehicle that worked. Unfortunately instead of the nearly new vehicle we had been originally allocated we ended up with a well used old banger with 111,000km on the clock. It was not pleasant to drive. On return to Prague airport, the drop off for Budget cars is separate to the general car returns. Access to the right part of the complex was unsigned, very difficult to find and there was just one tiny sign with the Budget logo on it at the entry barrier which was not visible at any distance. The whole experience was a pain and counter staff do not move from the counter. We had to find and sort out everything ourselves. There is a obviously a clue in the name of the rental company! "

" Been using AutoEurope for over 20 years. Always great value, happy to price match and always a person you can talk to. "

" We rented with Rent+ before. The counter staff were very helpful. The car we got had scratches already and not cleaned and had no screen wash fluid (which I filled) but we were asked if that was Ok as there were delays with cars being prepared. The car was returned refuelled and in same condition as when picked up, there were changes to car return procedure, eg the car is not checked by staff anymore once you park and you return the key and pack to the desk. What is not good this time was that I was charged 690CZK without being informed, I only found out from my bank statement and have written an email for what it was for. I am still waiting for a reply which I expect on Monday 12Aug24. "

" Booking was fine. Desk is located close to the terminal. Counter staff were surly and unfriendly. I had ordered manual but not told that I was given an automatic which meant I had to unload the car and then go back and wait at the counter to get the car I had ordered. Insurance became complicated - again! I was offered more insurance even though I had taken out the excess waiver insurance. I found their explanation confusing as it suggested that the waiver excess insurance I had taken out was not very good but the one they were offering would be better. I work in insurance regulation (FCA) so I was somewhat concerned by this approach as it seemed to be an attempt to sell duplicate insurance. No check was done of the car on pick up. I would have preferred someone to check me in and look over the car. Instead I returned the keys to the desk and a slightly less surly person thanked me for my custom. Czech Republic is a friendly country. However, the staff on the Rent Plus desk were not, which is unfortunate. I may go for a more mainstream provider next time. "

We passed through a strange experience though, as we got a call from someone alleging to be the police from Czechia, who had our full details, claiming we were in a traffic accident, demanding our current location and telling us that they want to meet us face to face. We declined to provide any details, and we then received a WhatsApp video showing our car reversing into a stationary recycling bin, and just making contact with it. We never heard back about the incident which was very odd. Budget might be quite lenient with sharing renter's data. "

" You may want to make a not that Budget isn't with the other car hire companies at Prague Airport. It is in a completely separate building with the Marriot Hotel. This is only a slight inconvenience when picking up the car, but quite annoying when dropping it off, as you shouldn't follow signs for car rental drop off - that's a completely different car park to where Budget is. "

" My flight was delayed. I called Rent plus at Prague airport using the contact number on the auto europe car hire voucher, from Gatwick airport, to advise them of the delay. I called 15 times. The number was not answered and no option to leave a message. I found the Prague office number on the internet, so tried that. Again, no answer ? When I arrived at Rent Plus at Prague airport, the counter staff asked why hadn't I called them to advise of the delay ! I showed them the phone number that I had been calling, from the auto europe car hire voucher and was told that isn't their number !! I told them that they could have checked my flight number. They said they didn't have it, as it was not on the booking? I definately put it on my booking, so not sure why they didn't have it? "

" The Skoda was in excellent condition and very clean, the attendant person was very professional and helpful. The only issue I had was with the navigator, which was not updated. It has shown routes, which have no longer there and did not include newly built codes. Also there were routes which were not accessible but pedestrians, emergency and police and local drivers with permit key. Other than this, the experience was very nice. "

" I would like a refund as I never actually took the car. I paid £35 to AutoEurope for nothing and when I called AutoEurope that day, the assistant who answered the phone was equally rude and unhelpful and didn't offer any kind of customer service, he just said something to the tune of "no refund, your fault" and that was it. "

" Pick up was unpleasant. We arrived at 11pm after a long day of travelling. Car was far away from counter and in a creepy parking lot. We received keys for a car that did not exist and where searching it for 20minutes, and then turned back to the counter to receive a new car and contract. Not fun when one is tired! Back to the creepy parking lot we finally found the new car and left. The entire process took 1 hour... The condition of the car was ok. I could see that the car was relatively old and had a lot of miles on the clock but it was acceptable. Drop off was unpleasant: The car drop off was terrible. The "investigators" behaved like prison guards inspecting potential criminals and their cars (us). Further, the drivers of the returned cars were "racing", definitely not driving, the rental cars through the parking house. Clearly evident in the skit marks on the ground. Overall, acceptable service, okay car but unprofessional Pick up and Drop off. "

" My exeprience with autoeurope has not been very satisfactory. I was mislead about the cost of the rental. While I was asked about my travel countries during the booking of the car, I was in no way informed directly of the additional costs that are to be incurred to travelling outside of the Czech republic. This was hidden in the terms and conditions, only to surface at the time of picking up the car. Very unprofessional and shady behaviour. I tried calling the customer care and was not even given the option to cancelling my rental as the cost of the rental was now more than doubled. "

" When I booked the car, I booked a 'limited km' car by mistake. I called AutoEurope and was told I could change to an 'unlimited km' if I changed to Firefly. I didn't want to change rental company as I have had a good experience with Budget of several previous occasions. I am a regular customer as I visit the Czech Republic often. I called the Budget desk at Prague Airport and was told that I could change the booked to 'unlimited km' for a fee, when I collected the car. However, when I collected the car from the Budget Desk I was categorically told that this was not possible and that I could not change to an 'unlimited km'. I explained that I called and was told that I could, and the response from the adviser at the desk was rude and aggressive. I was also told that the information I had been given about changing the booking was decided by the adviser - in other words, the person I spoke to on the phone was prepared to upgrade the booking, but the adviser at the desk was not. I asked whether the Budget hire policy was determined by the individual adviser, or by the company? I was told it was down to the adviser(!) There was not apology, or attempt to make me feel that I was as a valued customer. I was happy to pay an additional fee to change to 'unlimited km' but was told the booking could not be changed?! I went ahead with the car hire as booked, and have paid for the additional km as I knew I would be driving over the 100km per day limit. This has really made me think twice about using AutoEurope/Budget again. "

It was dark, so we didn't notice car's conditions but the car smelled and I was having a strange itchiness over my hands and face. Later, we found out dog's hair everywhere, namely in the boot that was impossible to use. We vacuum the whole car twice but hair still remained. Upon our return to Prague on 27 October, we called the central office to replace the car. A man was extremely apologetic and organise a car replacement. In contrary, a man in the garage was very rude, told us to vacuum it by ourselves or go to more expensive car renting agency that provide better service. When we showed him the car's boot full of hair, he finally proceeded with changing a car as instructed from the office. A new car was almost spotless. "

" Budget at Prague Airport use a secondary location (Marriot Hotel parking not Parking C) apparently for AutoEurope customers. ON my previous trip only 6 to 8 weeks ago I was instructed to collect and drop off the car at this location. We did so successfully although less efficient than the main drop off at Parking C. On this occasion, however, no drop off location was mentioned so we assumed it to be at the collection point as the previous trip. But when dropping off there was no one to receive and sign off the vehicle. We were then advised we should have dropped off at Parking C - this is not an easy change to accommodate and as we needed to check in for our flight were unable to do so. We were "warned" there may be penalties for doing so which of course we will reject out of hand. Budget and Auto Europe need to communicate much more clearly. As a regular user of Auto Europe and Budget in the Czech Republic over the past 11 years, I expect a better level of support than this. "

There was a 45 minute wait to be served, I had to present my documents twice because the lady forgot to copy them the first time. I was given very explicit instructions to return the car to a certain location with a leaflet with a map. When I returned the car the the location as instructed I was asked to return it to a different location with the result that I had to go down 5 floors, exit the car park, around the block & enter a different car park they had specifically told me not to go to! At least the car was low-mileage & in pristine condition. "

It's now going through head office. It's clear from the state of the cars that they are not repaired, so why are you trying to extract money from him for an historical scratch to a wheel !!? Finally, my father in law also paid €24 for a sat nav - a sat nav that didn't work and kept switching off ! He gave up after an hour and we used iPhones to get us to our destination !!! "

Upon return, I had all the photos ready to show the guy checking it - he looked round the car and said he had 'neither the time or energy' to check it round due to the number of scratches !! Also after waiting 30 mins to get the car due to the lack of staff and slowness of the 1 person there, I was told my mikes were limited and it would cost 35 euros to upgrade. My father in law had exactly the same car for the same period and his was 5 euros more and unlimited miles....I think budget literally make it up as they go along. Rubbish service, rubbish explanations to cover and prices and a rubbish car as well. At least they are consistent at being rubbish !! "

" Intial experience a total off put - yet we have hired vie this for years without the trouble - so what has gone wrong? "

" arrived 9.30 pm at Beudget desk - 2 large posters told us to go to another building nearby. Lug heavy cases to next building. Large poster says this office shut - go back to the first. What a useless set up. Didn't get the car until after 10.15. Then told 1 mark on a new car - we found and photographed another 6. Desk team grumpy and annoyed by this - but hey - who is actually paing for this and who is being paid! "

" i had been using Budget for few years. There are HUGE signes pointing to Car Hire building. So with all luggage, we have to walk there, waiting for people in front to finish to find out we have to walk back and use another office?? And this new office is hardly sign posted, walking around the building just hoping Budget will appear at some point is really not good at all; However, Staff was nice and friendly and helpful; same on the way back - really stressed as there is no sign AT ALL to show which way to enter building so have been going around the parking 3 times and at the had to call the Budget office and find out where they are??? "

" I have been given great car which really pleased me. Unfortunately the right back tyre was not fitted properly therefore every day I had to top the pressure up :-(. I was offered to go back to the airport and exchange the car but it was really inconvenient for me as I was already miles away from the airport. The customer service was good but I could really do without worrying about the car! The following day I returned the car back I was contacted by the branch that there was a set of keys found in the car (which I haven't realised I lost) and offered to deliver the keys back to me which I very much appreciated! "

" Have used Auto Europe for many years and was disappointed that I was not informed about the late pickup charge in Prague until I had paid for my trip. It was only when the voucher arrived that I was informed that Budget charge this fee. This should be explained before the booking is confirmed and paid for. "

" excellent service - well done. we were worried that booking a Skoda Octavia "or similar" would be a problem (some cars in the same class are too small for 2 week a family holiday) but we got exactly what we requested. Do try to make the type of car rented a more secure arrangement as this makes us far more likely to use a rental service and is an important decider alongside price and reputation. We by annual " insurance excess" insurance each year - which is better that having to make decisions at the airport about buying "extras" when you are tired and stressed. Why not sell this to your customers. "

" In the beginning of the rental the car fuel tank was not full as should have been but after my complaint it was sorted out by note about that to my contract and I supposed to return the car not full but almost full... It was quite difficult to estimate - I returned with the full tank. Empty plastic bottle on the floor of the car and trip kilometers were no annulled. Rather than that everything was ok. "

" I was charged twice for the same booking. I'm certain i didn't click 'confirm booking' twice though this looks like it happened. If i hadn't looked at my bank statements and then manually cancelled the booking myself then i wouldn't have been any the wiser and had to raise a support call with you guys. "
