" Hi, I have already raised this in the feedback questionnaire with Hertz, they have not responded yet. the person at the collection counter of Hertz was not in a good mood when I collected the vehicle and the conversation was not polite. He entered my email address wrongly and as it was not shown to me, i did not notice and wanted to get moving asap, as this was a way of getting away from the person behind the desk. The car was great, but I did NOT receive an email conversation by Hertz about the rental. I rang them at least 5 times at the desk the following day, no one picked up. I sent them an email, was later told it did not arrive, note it wasn't returned either. On the return, I made the extra effort of going back to the counter and requested the email address to be corrected, as it was indeed incorrect. This was completed and i was reassured I would get the 'close of contract' email - I never did. That lady also told me my email never arrived. I then asked Hertz to send me the missing documents via feedback questionnaire, and am still waiting for a reply. As they have since waived the credit card charge, I am assuming there was no further discussion necessary, but this should have been confirmed by Hertz in writing. Car was great and fantastic value for money. I would use Hertz again but will never walk away from a counter again without insisting to be shown the screen where they have entered my contact details. On another note, i was puzzled they needed my email in the first place, shouldn't they simply transcribe it from my autoeurope rental? thanks for reading all of this "

" As soon as we were made aware of the changes to our flights and the long delay in arrival at Stuttgart we contacted Auto Europe by telephone to confirm the new flight details and eta in Stuttgart. The lady who dealt with that call assured us that she would email Alamo to inform them in order to keep our booking secure, and confirm that with us. This obviously did not happen, hence the comments in Para 3 above. The car we reserved was given to another client because we did not arrive on the original flight, which was out of our control as we were diverted via Paris CDG. "

The car had a warning light from start on .Had to 'read' handbook( in Slovakian) to determine it was tire pressure warning. So had the problem of adjusting tire pressure late at night. The only vehicle Hertz were willing to offer me was a Renault Kango type van with seats. I tried to explain to the arrogant agent,that what he was offering did not relate to the vehicle I had booked. He offered that I should cancel my booking and try one of the other companies located nearby! After much argument I managed to appropriate a suitable car although at a cost of 50 euros! I have booked cars with you over the last few years and never had an experience like this. I would be grateful if you would consider crediting the 50 euros that I had to pay to secure a suitable vehicle. I am looking to book a car in Spain in October and would like to think it would be through Auto Europe. I look forward to hearing from you. "

" Everything was good with the rental including pick up and drop off. The only issue was that there was little chance of getting the car listed by auto europe on the booking (a Toyota RAV4) at the pick up location of Stuttgart airport. This was compounded by the fact that their stock of available vehicles at the time of pick up was considerably reduced. It was the option of a Toyota RAV that tempted me to the vehicle group I selected although I realise of course that this is only a representative of the group and not the guaranteed car. The staff were very accommodating though and helped with getting an alternative with which we were satisfied. "

" Great administration and easy collection, drop off and the vehicle was exactly what we wanted and in excellent condition. However, we were charged an additional 8 euros and 40 cents a day for a navigation system which was integral to the vehicle and standard for the make and model. It would have been interesting to have seen what ' Global Rent- A- Car ' would have done if we had said that we didn't want it. Not as if they would have been able to switch it off ! This felt like sharp practice and detracted from the overall value of the product and service. "
" The booking arrangements and collection and drop off arrangements were excellent as was the condition of the vehicle and it's suitability for our needs. However, we were confused and disappointed to be told that we had to pay an addition amount for a navigation system - 8 euros and 40 cents per day - for something which came as standard with the vehicle I.e. it had an integral satellite navigation system which of course we could have chosen not to use but which was available to us as a standard accessory with the make and model of vehicle we had chosen. This was. Not explained to us at the collection point so when we were charged an additional amount we fully expected the navigation system to be a detachable one which would be given to us on collection and then would have to be returned when we brought the vehicle back. This would seem like ' sharp practice' and I feel we need to point this out to any future customers on your site to warn them of this additional and we feel, unjustified cost. It would be extremely gratifying to be offered the refund of 92 Euro's and 40cents but if this is not something you are able to do, perhaps you could direct us to how and where we make contact with ' Global Rent - A- Car ' . " The rudest woman on the car rental counter I ever come across. Our original request was for a Ford Fiesta but were told it would be a Fiat Panda. My husband said OK but we ended up with a Renault Clio - no explanation given. Worst of all, however, was the bullying manner she used for the insurance saying that it had been paid to an agent, not them and that 800 euros block on the card would be taken for every scratch on the car for every day we had this car. In the end, I walked away and left my husband to try to deal with her. We have hired cars in both Germany and Italy several times before and have never been treated in such a horrible way. "

" Staff fine but the car I received had the worst performing headlights of any car I have ever driven in 30 years. The Dacia Logan should not be allowed to drive at night !! I would have been safer with a torch ! "
" So far I'm satisfied. Found the desk for Enterprise ok, was seen after a short wait and given keys to a car and directions to the car location about 400 metres away. I asked if there was any damage on the vehicle and was told none but to inspect it and to ring if there were any marks over a 2 coin size. There was a significant scrape on the passenger side which I photographed.. There were a couple of other small minor marks on the boot sill. I went back to the desk and the scrape was noted. On return inspection guy said the scrape was noted but there was a problem with the boot sill marks. I told him what happened upon collection and that I only reported the scrape in line with the 2 advice. He eventually said ok! Unpleasant end to hire. "
" When I picked up the keys I was told it was fine. It had a scrape which I photographed and some small marks - when I went back to the desk I was told only the scrape needed marking. Different story upon return when the inspection guy said there was a problem with the minor marks that I was told did not need marking. I felt I was being set up by the two people saying different things and that I was going to be blamed / charged for the minor marks I was told not to report! The car was fine and the price competitive but I was left feeling concerned after the handover process. I will be contacting Auto -Europe Monday to go through what happened. "
