If you’re considering a car hire at Hamburg Airport it’s important to know that the car rental supplier desks are located in Terminal 2, at the arrivals hall. There is plenty of choice from whom to hire your car; Avis, Buchbinder, Europcar and many more. You can view all available suppliers on our website, and then easily choose the right supplier for your budget and needs. Don’t forget to carefully read all the terms and conditions before confirming your booking. On the day, make sure you have to hand your rental voucher, identification, a driving licence (including an International Driving Permit, if required), and a credit card under the main drivers name.
A security deposit will be held on credit card and released once the car is returned in the same condition as when it left. It is therefore important for you to inspect the vehicle before continuing on your journey. Note anything of concern on the pick-up slip and take photographic/video evidence. When you return get a member of the car hire supplier team to check the car and sign it off as fine. Head towards the multi-story car park that is in front of P5 to return your rental vehicle - some suppliers provide an out-of-hours drop box for the car keys.
