    Driving Licence Requirement

    In South Africa you can explore Cape Town and other cities with a valid driving licence from your country of residence, provided it has your photograph and signature on and is printed in English.

    Age Restrictions

    In order to hire a rental car in South Africa, you must be at least 20 years old (age may vary by car category and location) and have held your license for one year. Drivers under the age of 25 may incur a young driver surcharge.
