" Keddy is in a partnership with Europcar. There is no signage in the Paris airport for Keddy. It took us asking several employees in the airport, making several phone calls to Auto Europe UK, and me googling Keddy to discover that we were actually looking for Europcar. This took about 2 hours. When we got to the counter the employee there said our contract showed our pickup time as 10:00 AM. This is ridiculous because our flight was not even scheduled to land until 3:00 P.M. My flight number was on the contract. I was told that our reserved car had been rented, so I would only have a choice of the few vehicles they had left. Of course the car we ended up with cost over 200 euros more than the one we requested. I had little choice by that time of the day so I took the car. The car I requested was an Altama. The car I got was decent, but certainly not better than an Altima and not worth paying more for. I don't know if it was a glitch or an accident that my rental time was set so early in the morning. This is not something I would do. So is this an accident or a scam to get more from the customer. I don't know the answer, but it is something that is in the back of my mind. So the start of our vacation was miserable and it was due to the pickup of our rental car. Did I mention it was an unseasonably hot day in Paris? There is your answer. I am considering posting this on Trip Advisor as well. "

" There was some outage at the Hertz counter when picking up the vehicle. We had to wait for about 40 minutes in a queue of customers to get to the desk. When we got there, it was relatively quick. On return of the vehicle, there was a single staff member in charge of all returns and we had to wait for about 15 to 20 minutes which added quite a bit of stress to the journey as we had a flight to catch. " A disgraceful interaction, which saw us wait around 60 mins to just been seen by a team memebr, then we were informed the car we paid for and had booked, was not ready and we would have to wait around 90 mins for it to be ready, we have baby and after waiting over 60 mins just to be seen, was a joke. our choices were, take a compact car, which was of no use to us, and if we did, would not refund the differnce for the vehicle we booked, so the only option that we could take was a high class car, and were charged 60 euro more per day. the team memeber didn't even offer us a better deal. totally awful experience "

I don't know I am not driving the car. The vehicle that arrived was dirty very badly dented and scratched on most panels. " Having had an appalling experience with Hertz on a previous occasion I was horrified to discover that Thrifty came under the Hertz umbrella. I was on a one day business visit to France and to lose two hours through totally inefficient processing at the counter - between 2 and 3 times longer than any of the other car hire companies was very inconvenient. The car irself was a bit scruffy with scratches of the paintwork which were not immediately apparent on the documantation and a fuel tank the was only 3/4 full - not shown on the outgoing documentation which suggested that it was full. The vehicle ended up being a battered Renault traffic which really isn't similar to a Mercedes V-Class. The car was in a dangerous state. Bits of it fell off and dragged under the car. Hi-Vis vests for all potential 9 passengers were not provided. The refuelling charges upon return were beyond extortionate. It's pretty impossible to find diesel for EUR 3.75 a litre and there's no way exactly 60 litres of it went into the tank. The fine processing charge of EUR 45 is 50% more than SIXT charge where you do actually get the car you booked. "

The car I got did have several scratches and did smell bad inside. The lady on reception at Avis did not appear to know how to take money from a client to pay for insurance and so none was taken at the time! No doubt I would have had no cover if there had been a claim! I have hired from Avis on many previous occasions and am a Preferred customer - this was my worst experience with them so far "

" All was well until I returned the vehicle. There was a quick check and I was told by your agent that there had been some damage sustained at the rear under the bumper. I was not aware of this and am confident that I did not sustain this damage given I had only driven 45km to a private garage. I was shown the damage and asked if I had taken out cover. I said I did not. I took a look and can see a minor scratch but was difficult to see. I repeated that I did not damage the car and could not have seen the damage upon collection because it was dark. I asked to see a pre-collection photo and was advised there was only a check with no photo. I asked how I could challenge this as I was informed I would be charged €118 for damage I did not create. The agent went to speak to his manager and was gone for about 5 minutes. I was close to leaving as my flight was due in under an hour. The agent intimated to me that all was well and I did not owe anything. I asked why and he said that the damage was reported on 1 February before I collected it but the file had been deleted. I was made to feel guilty before anyone checked the previous damage report and it felt he was only interested in taken my money. This was the first bad experience I have had renting a vehicle from any company and I am far from impressed by your company's system of checks and left with a feeling that I was being ripped off for someone else's damage. In fact the speed in which your agent found the damage was the only impressive part of the experience, making me feel that it was planned or some kind of ruse to make people take out damage waiver cover next time they rent. Not what I expect from a global company and I will not be renting with you again. "

" Renting from HERTZ at Paris CDG: BE AWARE OF THIS SCAM Unfortunately we did pick up the car in a dark car park alone and under the rain. Impossible to check all the small scratches on the vehicle. When we came back the airport an employee from Hertz check the car under a covered area lit up like a football stadium. He found a scratch in a wheel and charged me 100 euros for it. I am sure that it was not me because during my trip a did not approach any curb. After a long argument border line aggressive nothing was resolved and they took the money from my credit card. By this time I had already found the sign, conveniently placed at the end of the window at the side of the Interrent office, as opposed to next to the sign on one of the front doors, where the sign saying the office was closed was correctly placed. " It was disappointing that we had to pay a surcharge of E.51 to refuel the car. We dropped the car off after searching for about 40 minutes for a petrol station (only finding one that served lorries only). Your staff explained that there is no petrol station at CdG unless you arrive from Paris direction. As a refuel is inevitable it is considered unfair that we were not advised from the start of the journey how to refuel on the way back. My colleague left an iPad in the car only to find the next day when he returned that although the car had not been cleaned the iPad had been removed. It has not been returned to him. We were very impressed with your staff who stayed very late (well past mid-night) to issue the car to us after our flight had been delayed 9 hours. Finding the way to the return depot was a stressful nightmare. The sheet of photos was helpful. A sat-nave postcode would also have helped. The car was clean, tidy and all that we had expected. "

" I called Auto Europe to cancel the order with Interrent and get a refund but Auto Europe insisted to find me a similar vehicle at the same price. They found a vehicle with Dollar and told me I have to wait few minutes to half an hour but Dollar made me wait 3 hours and they said this is the waiting time agreed with Auto Europe. After 3 hours Dollar charges me 160.97€ whereas the agreed price with Auto Europe was £76.16. I have shown them the voucher but they told me this commitment is with Auto Europe not with Dollar. I called Auto Europe but nobody answered the phone. Obviously at 9pm after about 4 hours of struggle I had no choice and I accepted their offer. I am very disappointed with Auto Europe as they did not respect the contract we agreed, I consider the over cost I have paid must be refunded by Auto Europe. Not only the first car booked was not reliable but nor was the second one and on top of that the cost was about twice the agreed amount. "

The delay was due to the incompetence of Hertz. due to this delay we missed our meal booking at the Disney resort that we had paid for so hopefully you will reimburse this loss. we had an 11 month old baby who was very distressed with all the hanging around "

" We requested a Garmin or Nuvi but they insisted that the car navigation was same. Well, it is garbage and kinda ruined our trip. They put all functions in one knob and you can't find services, nor directions, a least if they gave you an instruction manual because you can't even google cause you dont know what make it is. A one week road trip from Paris to Manaco and back and around countryside could have been so nice if they just would have given us a Garmin. "

" I'm very upset because after speaking with the company they said they would issue a full refund and I have yet to see that. I was unable to rent a car because I didn't have the right kind of credit card or enough credit in my account. But when I wanted to change to the other person I was with they wouldn't let me. It really did ruin our day and trip plans. Mostly upset because we had to take a bus and train to get to the airport and then weren't even able to rent a car and we had to pay to get back to where we came from. " I have used Budget many times and always receive a great service. On this occasion unfortunately the first car we received had to be taken back as the aircon was not working. I was unable to contact Budget and therefore had to drive the 90 minutes back from our accommodation to the airport to report the fault and exchange the vehicle, this meant half of my first day's holiday was taken up on an unexpected journey driving to & from the airport to sort the car. However there was absolutely no difficulty once there, Budget were very apologetic and exchanged the vehicle without question. Perhaps the vehicle should have been more thoroughly checked prior to being given out though but I would still not hesitate to use them again. "

The car was not in great condition - it was very dirty and the windscreen was filthy and the car smelt badly inside. It had not been properly valeted. When I tried to clean the windscreen there was no washer fluid and we had to stop on the motorway to put some in so we could clear the screen. On returning the signage for car rental is not great and we struggled to find a nearby garage to top up the fuel - don't know what they're charging us for that yet. Thoroughly recommend the zero excess as that seems to make the process much easier! "
