After customs control and luggage claim, you will be able to proceed to the car rental desk. It is important to check the vehicle for any dents or scratches and mark them on the rental agreement before you drive away. To pick up the car, you will need a valid driving licence, credit card in the name of the main driver, and Auto Europe's voucher. One more vital issue is your fuel policy. Make sure you are renting the car with the fuel policy you have booked online. When returned, the car and the fuel level will be inspected.

Since the airport is quite small, the selection of its facilities is rather limited. There is a café and a tabac - a newsstand. There are no ATM's or currency exchange offices nor duty-free shops.
There is no public transportation from the airport to Calvi centre. Taxis are available in front of the arrival area. Car hire at Calvi Airport is the best solution to travel to the city and see the region. To get to the city of Calvi, take the main road D81 in the north direction and change to N197 leading you directly to Calvi; the ride takes about 10 minutes. Ajaccio, on the western coast of the island, is three hours away by car. Bastia, located on the north-eastern coast, can be reached within 2 hours. Pay a visit to our France driving information page, to learn about local road traffic regulations.
At the airport, the first 15 minutes of parking are free. There is a public car park in the centre of Calvi, adjacent to the Citadel. Please pay attention to the road signs advising about parking restrictions. In larger cities, such as Bastia or Ajaccio, a free on-street parking bay may sometimes be difficult to find. If that is the case, choose one of the public car parks.
