How can I book a motorhome with Auto Europe?

You can easily reserve a motorhome through our website by choosing your desired location and dates, along with your preferred vehicle(s). There’s no need for immediate payment: once we receive your request, we’ll verify the availability of your chosen motorhome with our supplier and get back to you within 24 hours to finalize your booking.
After selecting the right option, we will confirm your reservation and guide you through the payment process. You can pay using a credit card (Visa, MasterCard, or American Express) or via bank transfer. Please note that we do not accept cash, checks, or gift vouchers. Payments can be made securely online through a direct link we provide, or over the phone. If you choose to pay online, ensure that the cardholder's name matches the driver's name on the voucher, as mismatches will result in a payment block for security reasons. Additionally, the name of the main driver on the voucher must align with the credit card holder’s name, as well as the driving license and passport.
For bookings with a pick-up date within 70 days, full payment is necessary. If your pick-up is further out, a 30% deposit is required to secure your reservation, with the balance due 71 days before pick-up. Alternatively, you can reach out to us 71 days prior to pick-up if you wish to settle the remaining balance using a different credit card or through bank transfer.

Is there a minimum rental period for motorhome hire?
Yes, it depends on the season. Typically, the minimum rental period ranges from 7 to 14 days, with shorter stays available upon request. However, reservations for less than 4 days are not accepted.
Can I modify my motorhome booking?
Certainly! Modifications can be accommodated, but they must be requested at least 7 days before the scheduled pick-up. Please note that any changes require approval from the supplier, and the price may be adjusted if there has been a change in the rate.
How do I cancel my motorhome booking?
You have the flexibility to cancel your booking at any time, in line with our cancellation policy, which is prominently featured on our website, in your quotation voucher, and reiterated in your final confirmation voucher. To cancel your reservation with Auto Europe, it's essential to contact Auto Europe but please keep in mind that your cancellation won't be deemed official until you receive a confirmation email indicating that your booking has been successfully cancelled.
Is a special license required to drive a motorhome hire?
In general, you do not need anything extra. All drivers are required to show a valid driving license (held between 1-3 years depending on supplier) along with an identity card or passport. However, for Premium motorhomes that exceed 3.5 tons, a C/C1 - Category III driving license is necessary. If the booking does not indicate the vehicle's weight, it is assumed to be under 3.5 tons, which means a standard Category B driving license is sufficient. If your license is not in English or Roman letters, you may need an International driver's license or a certified translation depending on the chosen supplier. Please note that provisional licenses are not accepted.

What is included when renting a motorhome?
When you choose to rent a motorhome with Auto Europe, you can rest assured that every vehicle from our suppliers comes with the essential coverage required for driving in that specific country. This is what we refer to as our Standard Package. In addition most vehicles, aside from a select few motorhome models, also typically come equipped with a toilet and shower, kitchen, refrigerator, heating system, cables and plugs, water tanks, and rechargeable batteries.
