    Station Information

    Opened in 2010, Valencia Joaquin Sorolla Train Station provides high-speed rail links and long-distance AVE trains to many cities, including Malaga, Madrid and Saville. There are also plans to link the station to Barcelona, Alvia Gandia and Alicante. It is the main long-distance rail hub for the city and is well integrated into the city’s public transport network. Together with Nord Valencia Train Station, they provide full coverage of the city, the region and with international connections.

    Station facilities

    Valencia Train Station has numerous facilities at hand for its passengers to benefit from during their journey through this impressive railway station. There are eateries, restaurants, traditional coffee houses and stores throughout the train station. A variety of interesting stores are present at the station, from mobile stores and souvenir shops, newsagents, perfume shops and a pharmacy. Other facilities of note, are a VIP Lounge, a tourist information office and lockers that are provided from 7am until 10pm daily.

    How to get to and from Valencia Train Station

    The railway station is centrally located in Valencia, so often a short walk is all that is needed to get to and from your destination and the train station. Valencia although a city, is small and very easy to get around on foot. Nevertheless, a car hire at Valencia Joaquin Sorolla Train Station is always a great option should you wish to explore the surrounding region. Valencia Train Station has two nearby metro stations – Jesus and Bailen. Together these metro stations provide a link to line 1 and line 5. Eleven bus routes are available from the station that will take you across the whole city. These are 9, 10, 11, 20, 27, 64, 89, 90 and the night buses N6, N89 and N90. A direct bus link to the airport passes here too, called the Aero-bus; it runs every 20 minutes from 6am until 10pm. A taxi rank is located outside the main building and is also a good option for reaching places that the public transport network doesn’t.

    Parking tips

    Parking at Valencia Train Station is simple due to its own car park conveniently located at the station. Access is via San Vicente Mártir Street or Giorgeta Avenue. It contains 650 parking bays and is open 24 hours per day, with pay machines available in the car park. Pay machines accept coins, notes and bank cards. The car park is safe, secure and an easy walking distance from the train station - all of which makes for a good place to leave your car rental at Valencia Train Station. If you intend to use the car park, we advise booking in advance to obtain a better rate.

    In Valencia itself there are two parking options. The blue zone allows you to park up to a maximum of two hours, with meters provided nearby. The orange zone is strictly reserved for residents and you will get a fine if you park here. Throughout Valencia you will also find underground parking garages. Many of which are conveniently located near tourist attractions and points of interest. One such garage is located in the Plaza Alonso el Magnanimo and the Plaza de la Reina.
