Car hire in Treviso at the best prices

One of the most enchanting cities in Italy, Treviso was built around the margins of the vast Sile River. It's quite famous for its fair resemblance to Venice, another prominent Italian city located just 25 miles away. With a car hire in Treviso, you can explore the beautiful region of Veneto and reach the Mediterranean Sea with just a one-hour drive. Auto Europe has an experienced team and several local partnerships to help you plan your journey!

Treviso has a rich history, reflected on every street and monument. Dozens of elegant palaces, small water canals, romantic bridges and passages, medieval churches and landmarks, as well as an overall pleasant atmosphere, will keep visitors entertained in Treviso. Via Callmaggiore, for instance, is the main street that concentrates several designer shops. Amidst so many luxury brands, the street has also been home to the famous Benetton label since 1960.

History enthusiasts can admire the large fortified walls beyond the city entrance doors, marked by the several disputes during Middle Ages by feudal lords. Piazza dei Signori is the heart of Treviso, a busy square with cafes, small shops and historical constructions. There, it's possible to visit the Palazzo dei Trecento, built in 1210, next to the Pallazo del Podesta and its illuminated galleries. There are also the Casa di Noal, Casa dei Ferraresi and the three palaces of the Rinaldi Family. These elegant sites transform Treviso into a fairytale commune beloved by locals and tourists alike.

Standing nearby the main square Also are the Cathedral of San Pietro of Treviso and the Cathedral San Nicolò, both exceptionally well-conserved and worth a visit. Treviso is also filled with museums and galleries - we suggest dedicating some time to see Santa Caterina and admire the medieval and Renaissance art.

Close to this part of the town and the Buranelli district is the covered fish market. Don't miss the opportunity to walk around the stalls and experience the small frenzy of locals going about their days. Most importantly, it is from this market that the Treviso restaurants source fresh fish and produce, resulting in exquisite dishes that entice tourists from around the world. Be sure to try delicacies such as eels, seafood, cod, risotto and, of course, delicious Italian wine.
